I loved this conversation 💜 the give and take of questions and jokes . asking about beards and a beaded necklace. Adult store ? I said omg lol
A. V. F. Lol 😂
i am laughing so hard on that
It's the perfect motivation to learn another language.
There are so many people out there with humor as stupid as mine. I must find them all.
at 5:26 she says her daughter has too high requirements. i think that's more complaining about her rather than saying he's out of her league.
@Jonathan Wei thanks for the clarification, coz I thought it’s really rude of her to say that..
Jonathan - Ah, the beauty (and importance) of other and often more accurate translations. Thanks, man.
yeah, the translations aren't always accurate (in fact sometimes it's on purpose for irony)
True she was sarcastic person
Philip was awesome. I didn't know Xiao Mam was Jewish and that adds a little flavor to this channel that I hadn't appreciated before.
I always had a feeling…
That jewelry shop owner: "Got out just in time" 😂🤣
That was soooo funny
God hated the Jeweshe

@@Vengeful_Void666 It's ok, he's being dealt with.

As a New Zealander, I have to say that the best jade comes from Aotearoa (New Zealand), The indigenous people call it pounamu. It is Nephrite jade and is considered a taonga (treasure) to Maori. Stay well and safe on your continued adventures.
As someone who was born in nz and me and my mum both have a necklace from a place in Wellington, I couldn’t agree more!!
Yes! No doubt about it. The pies though... The pies though!
In a world so full of cultural conflicts, you provide a platform where several cultures can get together and get along just fine. Your videos make me happy!
This is great(coming from a Jewish guy). Would love to see more Philip in your future videos
their body language said "these dudes are a nice gay Jewish couple"
bwahahaa ;-)
It may not though, but funny comment!
Really? I didn't spot that? It was just surreal to watch two people with 'born and bred' American accents be able to communicate with 'foreigners' without shouting or using an interpreter. I'd love to see waspy Americans do the same thing.
Well, the "one without a girlfriend" is very gay.
@@darexdarex The Chassidic guy you mean? They don't tend to have girlfriends or boyfriends. Why bother? They get married and have families as part of their observences. I know you are all being absolutely hilarious and having fun laughing at the Jews, which is a very grown up and clever thing to do, I've been told. But still, none of their body language indicates they are anything more than friends. What else am I missing?
Martin Squire I'm gay and Jewish, so thanks for the lesson. Let's just say...we can tell.
This really is one of the best videos out there. So much joy and life. It definitely shows how close to being connected we are, if we just learned a bit more about each other.
I enjoyed this. He pulled the people into more everyday conversations. He seems more extroverted and less shy about approaching people.
I would really have liked to know more about "The Master". He seemed like there was a lot more there.
those guys were really taking the piss out of him lol, was hilarious
Master Dong...
Master Dong in front of the "adult" store.
Probably not much more there. He's someone who's dressed vaguely like a Taoist, wearing a mix of Korean and Chinese malas, plus a Buddha necklace (Buddhists don't wear those), isn't a monk, but got familiar with some rituals enough to amuse people. The other dudes there are mocking him. A lot of them are scammers, there's one named Mak Tin Si/Mak Jo Si/Jee Sifu who targets westerners.
Literally laughed out loud when Phillip said he liked Master Dong’s haircut. Freaking hilarious!
Lmao
Was not that funny. Youre easily amused.
I was more amused that his name is Master Dong
I'M DYING WITH THAT LADY AND THE ORANGES. she's absolutely hilarious.
@Ted you gotta enjoy the little things in life
I like the boss with his feet up. “We are all our own bosses, no one can give us shit” straight gangsta!
I got some good laughs. That guy sleeping off his tea was great. I love it when people from all over the world have a sence of humor. You guys made those older gentlemen days. Like most people they don't understand other cultures. They can't really ask anyone in there languages. It helps them understand. Great video thanks for sharing.
The lady in the Jewelry store @ 7:17 was the nicest person i saw. Such an elegant smile and felt so warm like someone’s grandparents.
I love how people instantly feel confident and completely open up about themselves when you speak their language

"don't you look comfortable"
"yiiiihhaaaa"
"comfortable indeed"
So next to the adult store there so happens to be Master “Dong” 🤣
My favourite character :DD
bro 😂😂😂
I love people’s expression in your videos, they’re so surprised then so happy you can speak to them in their language. It’s the ultimate compliment. That’s why I hate it when people make fun of foreigners when they’re speaking English in America.
Your videos motivate me when I start beating myself up when I hit a wall in my Japanese learning. ありがとうございます
Honestly, probably my very favorite video on TH-cam. Everything in this video expresses the diversity of today and the power of communication. Well done man and thank you, showing us the power of communicating in different languages is what we need.
Well that escalated quickly...the lady slinging shade at them started to rag on her loser husband.
“You speak Chinese too? Now I’ve seen it all” 😂💀💀
Jews have a good reputation amongst the Chinese. Highly respected.
You need a video with laoshu, titled “xiamao and laoshu get guts deep in locals by tongue”

Don’t forget the IN RETROSPECT
They would both make an awesome video together!
BIGTREETRON if I could like a thousand times I would!!
They're much more intrigued when he wears a kipa.
He should do this more often.
true now that you mention it. They love jews because they're smary.
So, is Xiaoma jewish or did he use the kipa because he was with his friend somewhere else as a “respect” sign?

Have to get this off my chest guys. I'm a Venezuelan living in Colombia. Even in countries where spanish is spoken, the local culture and its people make it unique. I get a full judgemental look once colombians hear my accent. It's hard but it's long story. I watched this video and saw the faces of the people when you speak their language...it's like a new level of respect for them as immigrants. Quite cool. Thank you, Xiaoma. It may sound stupid but your work is profound and got to me. The emotion of the older gentleman while speaking to you and your friend at the beginning almost broke me. Well done, you have talent. Keep it up.

The fruit drops... you're making me cry up memories from "Grave of the Fireflies"🤧🥺
Those two jewish guys are so friendly and lovely. I really enjoy watching this positive interact between different cultures. And I hope one day that, this jewish love, will hit my people too. Real judaism for sure, preaches love and compassion to (other) people. God would not accept anything less.

Aside from the last one with the group of guys, this whole video was sooo cute. From the viewer at the beginning who recognized you, the gentleman who was so happy to see you again, to the lady picking fruit talking smack about her Jewish husband, I was smiling the whole time. I'm gonna favorite this video so I can watch it again later.
With respect I thought the tea party was as nice as the rest of the encounters. The one guy that was saying the necklace was a remote control, priceless.

Another great episode!
Lmaoo that old guy in the chair with the glasses was totally making fun of the monk. You can tell he's not religious and was ripping on him for believing in something he views as silly. And his sense of humor was killer too, like "well we never do anything wrong, so there's no real need for prayer" 😂😂
Eh, he was poking fun at him because he's not a monk, or any kind of real "大师". Just a guy who bought some books on rituals and a costume on Aliexpress.
I didn’t realize he actually met Becca for the first time at the start of this video. I watched the other video first and thought that they meant they just ran into each other. I assumed they had been friends a while
