So in the bakery scene when he cut the flour bags. Very fine flour in the air is very combustible. He turned the fan on so the flour would circulate in the air. The baddies threw a flashbang in the room which normally wouldnt cause a big explosion and just a bright sparking flash. The spark ignited the flour in the air which caused the much larger explosion. Edit: Went to make this comment during the scene only to start the vid back up and see you figure it out :P

This is also why corn elevators and sylos are so dangerous and occasionally explode. Most small particulate matter, built up in the atmosphere of a confined space, can become combustible.

The last scene...He stabbed him in the heart,which causes the heart to beat 10 times more.But,when he struck the blade in his neck,that severed the nerves from his mind to his body.So,when Denzel threw him off the lighthouse tower,he was still alive and conscious and his brain could see that he was going to die from that fall,so Denzel wanted him to suffer.

@robvanriot Horror story...When people were killed by the guillotine,back during the French revolution,the executioner would raise the decapitated head to the crowd and the decapitated head would blink.Now,it was proven that a decapitated head would still be alive for a few seconds.
@thedragonlee76 I would've imagine how the person conciousness still kicking after decapitation, like even if it was quick our oxygen were pretty much still inside within our head and brain. At least, it's not slowly torturing the person...eughh imagine your stimuli still active.

It is almost never occurring for Denzel to do a sequel. This was better than the first one which was a MASTERPIECE.
The original show, The Equalizer, staring Edward Woodward, started in 1986 and ran for 4 seasons and was a really good show. There is a modern version staring Queen Latifa

One of my favorite shows, Edward Woodward (McCall), IIRC, had health problems in real life so his associates did a lot of the muscle work

Flour is flammable and can catch fire or even explode in some situations. This is mainly due to the high surface area as a powder, which makes for a high air to fuel ratio.

When the flour blew up, it’s called a dust explosion. The flour dust is in the air from the fan in an enclosed space, all it needs is an ignition source to create an explosion. I work at a soy protein manufacturing plant where we’ve had several of these in my 20 years working there.
Equalizer 3 will have Denzel Washington team up with Dakota Fanning for the first time since "Man on Fire" I'm so excited to see what they do. it comes out this year!
50:55 it was flour. Flour is actually VERY flammable. Flashbangs do not cause big explosions, just a bright spark to disorientate, blind, and deafen an individual. But the spark would ignite the flour/dust
Flour/dust burns, because it's dispersed fine particles it causes a huge fireball where entire volume is on fire, heating up the atmosphere air already there and causing it to expand.
It burns way better in the air than while piled up, because it's surrounded by lots of air and can burn from any side.
So if there's enough combustible dust floating in the air and an ignition source appears it can start a chain reaction where flames and heat from one grain of dust ignite the other particles nearby until the entire dust cloud is on fire.

The original character from the 80's series (Edward Woodward as Robert McCall) didn't usually charge for his help, nor does the character of Robin McCall played by Queen Latifah in the series reboot. But IMHO, the version of the character played by Denzel is by far the best portrayal of the character. He brings so much depth and intensity to the character. I love Denzel's portrayal of the character! He does an amazing job!

Odd backstory...Originally,Al Pacino was suppose to play the captain of the ship.Brad Pitt was offered the Denzel Washington role and turned it down.Denzel Washington wanted to work with Pacino,But Gene Hackman was the second choice and Denzel also really wanted to work with him.

This is based on an old 80's TV show. The original guy was an old retired MI-6 agent. He kind of out thought the criminals and would work with a young guy and even the cops for muscle. It was a great show.
Even if the car did have the latch lock in the trunk, it’s dark, Myle’s can’t see, and his hands were tied and he would have to feel around for it. Plus, it wouldn’t be smart to pop the trunk open and try to run while a sniper is popping shots at you.
Well JV chiropractors technically crack necks as well but more strategically and with skill plus training which is perhaps the only reason why they don't severely injure their clients; however when their skills are inappropriately applied it can lead to injuries such as the one depicted in this film by Robert's character at the hotel scene.
I'm wondering if Robert broke the guy's trachea, that would make a crunch and be a cause for him to grab at his neck.

Susan was on the same team with Denzel and he lead a team. the team was in the middle of a bomb. He used that opportunity to leave the government group which was a request of his wife before she died.

The equipment is much better today but you used to see grain silos blow up on the news. The grain dust {flour} would reach a certain concentration when filling it and the slightest spart would set it off. In 1947 a ship in Texas carrying fertilized exploded killing 600 people. There are a lot of ordinary things which can explode under the right conditions.

Believe it or not coffee creamer in powder form, will do the same thing as flour that is suspended in mid-air and exposed to a ignition source. In fact one of the worst industrial accidents in the state of Georgia, occurred at a sugar processing facility when granulated sugar dust left over from processing reaching a high enough concentration while airborne, was ignited by a spark, which blew the processing section of the plant apart.

Fine flour is just flammable enough that when blowing in the air a single spark is likely to cause a thermo baric explosion. It has always been a huge problem in industrial flour production even in the days of water powered mills. Almost as dangerous as gunpowder production.
I don't know how many lines Arnold Schwarzenegger has in Conan the Barbarian, but someone else commented that it wasn't a lot. It's a very good example of sword and sorcery fantasy, though. The soundtrack is a masterpiece, too.

the reason why flour is explode is because it can burn really quick. but we usually saw when i come in bag if you try to burn it then it will burn slowly because it stick togather but if it float in the air for some reason.. and something ignite it will cause a chain reaction and all of them burn instantly and boom.

A great Denzel movie is "A Soldier Story." I don't know if it will generate views because very few people know about it. But it's based on a Broadway play, and has an awesome cast in the early 1980s. It's been a family favorite for over 30 years.

When Robert said his only disappointment was that he only got to kill them once so he make sure they will die in the worst way especially Dave. So Robert did take his time on Dave killing him in the most painful way.

I always interpreted that Dave kept the crew together and he was the one that told the other guys (Ari, Kovac, etc) who to kill, that’s why he needed more money. Possibly even the reason that McCall took the opportunity to get out of that group when the “hotel bombing” occurred. That’s why the group was pulling security for Dave’s house doing most of the dirty work. They seem like they didn’t have the same moral compass that McCall does.

I assume Dave felt betrayed that McCall faked his death. It’s just a hunch but it makes sense. You’ve done all this work under the government/military and they drop you like that. Some people of course wouldn’t turn to that side but there are people that would just to get that feeling.

@See Jane Go TV glad you all are going to watch many of Denzel's films as he is an amazing actor to me and millions more. E2 is fun but liked the first one just a little better. Id recommend Man on Fire as another action amazing flick better then the original even. Book of Eli was stellar and if your looking for heart and Oscar stuff Id recommend Philadelphia with Denzel and Tom Hanks or you can also do Crimson Tide, or John Q which means even more now with ppl trying to take away health care and social security. Or Training Day in which Denzel really plays a unique roll. A Preacher's wife is a good Xmas film Denzel plays the angel like Cary Grant did in the original called Bishops wife. Anyway you have many good films to come :)
In almost every movie I've seen a person committing suicide with a gun does so through the mouth not the side of the head. In fact I can't think of a single suicide where the person points the gun at the side of his head. Pyle in Full Metal Jacket, the Warden in Shawshank Redemption all did so through the mouth.
