Comin along! BTW, do you know if that FXR tank will swap onto my 2000 Sporty? I'm only gettin about 100 miles out of my 3 gallon tank and aftermarket tanks are pricey!

Anything is possible with a welder and a dream but these tanks won’t swap as is. You can try finding an older sportster roadster tank, they look like the center fill Fxr tanks and came factory on early sportsters (83-85)with a fuel gauge as well

@SlappysGarage that is tremendously helpful. Thank you. Im building kind of a dirt/adventure bike and I need all the mileage I can get.
BTW Did you ever finish yours?

@@TheAnimal191 I had to postpone the dirtster and find another way to get a registration . The Vermont loophole was closed and now I need another route.

@SlappysGarage wait they closed Vermont? Thats lame. 10 years ago in Oregon, the tow company would file a posessiary lein for a fee of like $100. They tell the DMV they have it and whoever its registered to has 30 days to come pick it up and after that, provided no one comes to pick a fight, said tow company releases the lein to you and you can file for a title same as if you bought the car at auction. Not sure if that works now or if it was ever that way in your state but that would be my first plan of action.

@@TheAnimal191 I’ve used Vermont for many forgotten bikes or people who just misplaced the titles and have no desire to hassle with the dmv. Last summer probably 2 weeks before I tried to send in the paper work it closed.
