The fact that I am not a native English speaker is the reason why I follow this channel. So I am rather alarmed that many other teachers teach incorrect English. I would like once again to thank Kevin for his correction.
It's a great channel, but in some cases English native speakers use different ways to save something. No one is 100% correct. A lot of things is not grammatically correct, but some native speakers use it that way.

First and foremost, I would like to thank you for your trumenduous effort to lead us to the right path in our english learning journey. BTW, I find outrageous how some teachers make petty mistakes.we don't need to be native speakers to know that the correct form is " do me a favor" I learned this rule in my country in high school .
But I had learned English grammar at school. So I realized her mistakes right after watching her video for the first time. But at least her english is fluent.
But, after watching her videos a second time you realize that she ain't a native and someone who knows a little bit of English can realize it. She apparently speaks fluently BUT with several mistakes and that's not FLUENCY, that's called to speak a language with grammatical mistakes, therefore she shouldn't be teaching it.
It's amazing, we must admit, how creative she is by inventing such things as the use of the verb 'to buy' meaning popular. Has she given someone an explanation of where she learned such a thing?
I agree, this girl does sound like a true American native speaker. She has no foreign accent and it sure is quite confusing and misleading. I also heard this expression (smth. buys wel...l) in the past a few times used by someone, who I thought were native speakers...Or it's highly possible that they actually WERE native speakers using it incorrectly but being unaware of the fact. Unfortunately it does happen quite often when native speakers are wrong and non natives repeat their mistakes.
Using the verbs "do" and "make" correctly is quite tricky especially if your native language is not English, for example in German people say make homework ( Hausaufgaben machen) and in French, when it comes to telling your age, the verb 'have' is used instead of the linking verb "be". I grew up in a multilingual family, so I can see how complexed it is for someone to study a foreign language. But, if someone claims to be a teacher, there is no excuse for not mastering the basics.
Do me a favor is correct. A favor is an action, so it is not something that you would either make or give, so the second and third options don't work, unless you are talking about a party favor.
@@no89lan3 correcting random people on the internet, especially in the comment section, does not show you in a positive light. But that girl in the video presents herself as a teacher, and teaches people completely incorrect bullsh*t for the purpose of making money on the views. That's really sad.
@no89lan3 I think the person you corrected is just a normal one, who probably left out the article due to a misprint. Don't go so heavy on regular people. And there should also be a law against those fake teachers who pretend to be something they're not.
