A better comparison would be Google Sheets vs. Excel in Microsoft 365. All of the collaborative features you describe for Google Sheets are also available in Excel, I use them at work.
Very helpful. To me it comes down to performance. I am currently running tests on Google Sheets to see if it can handle datasets with over 10K rows. So far its good but it can get laggy when using the "restore versions" feature. It would be nice to mention what "large data" means, since to most people what Google Sheets can handle would be more than enough. With Excel though I never have to worry about the app ever getting "laggy".
"you can't go wrong with either" is a seriously false statement. What you forgot to mention in your video is that Google Sheets only has a market share of 5.73% in the business world. Microsoft Excel has an 81% market share. That is a huge difference when trying to get hired in the business world. Basically a company is 81% more likely to use Microsoft Excel. So learning Microsoft Excel will benefit you greatly. There's a big learning curve between Google Sheets to Microsoft Excel. I've tried learning Google sheets on and off for 3 years I just don't understand it. But then again, I've been using Microsoft Excel since 1995. I can find and do what I need to do in Excel very well. 81% of business companies will expect you to as well.
Google Sheets doesn't have a save or save as button ....it's a no no for me.....tI don't always want to save all the files all the changes at all times sometimes I just want to work on a spreadsheet send it to Who do I have to send it to and go back to the original file
🤦🏾♀️ THANK YOU! Boy! Basics is fundamental! This whooollleee time I’m thinking google sheets and excel are the SAME thing 🤦🏾♀️🤦🏾♀️ THANK YOU FOR YOUR VIDEO! (I know you probably thought it was too basic of a video to put out but I PROMISE it just cracked my frustration for the past couple days! 🫶🏾)
I find GS is so much more useable and modern. Excel shows it's age with stupid legacy stuff. Also, GS automation is easier compared to the awful VBA nonsense

if 5% use sheets and 80% use excel, that means a business is 16 times more likely to use excel, not 81% more likely
Thanks 😊 man that's what I was searching for.
@@gunnarowensYet he uses Excel since 1995 😂
Alex, you killed it, man! That was quick, tasty, and satisfying!
You helped me make a better choice, Thankyou!
This is the most neutral opinion/comparison and the information what I need to know which to choose between those two..thank you
Cant explain better, well done thx
Excel is more clear and faster and good features, but Google sheet is less stress and if you are working small documents

Such a hard NO, for something so simple. You can make a duplicate of the sheet and delete it after.
No need to save in Google sheets because it is in cloud not in your system also it has backup feature for daywise.
Helpful and clear information. Thanks.
Glad it was helpful!
Very well compiled!
Glad you think so!

To be honest, these days, Google sheets is more useful.

IN excel. Ok, i excel.🤗
Just asking is this an advertisement?
No. We don't get paid by either Excel or Google for this. Our goal is to make life easier for you where we can!
And winner is (hate to say it) Excel

Google sheets is unadulterated garbage.
