I’ve always liked how many people had believed or rumored that Druig was going to be one of the bad guys, but he and Makkari become the most beloved characters 🥺
I think it's funny that Kingo noticed Sprite was in love with Ikaris but not that Makkari and Druig were in love when it is objectively more obvious. So either he pays more attention to Sprite because she is his friend, or he also has a crush on Ikaris.
His loyalty is to Sprite. his foray into film isn't just a dig at the dynastic nepotism of Indian cinema but is also born from how much Kingo loves Sprites storytelling and watching her do it. He even tells her about it. In the end his loyalty was to her and since she is in love with Ikaris, off he went.
I don’t know why people hate this movie so much, I found it to be very entertaining. Though I do have to admit that it might have been better if they started it off as a Disney+ series and then transitioned it into a movie. Like the Flashbacks could have been a 6 episode series and the modern day scenes could have been the movie. #gilgameshpie
te hate is for the plot. not about the series or movie. like in this video for example. lot of cheesy and cringe stuff. ewh. like watching some KDrama but not KDrama
You don't know why people hate or do you truly believe that there is no movie better than it? Force yourself to answer this, and let that seed of doubt grow. To evolve your palette you must first know what it is missing and contrary to popular belief, some critics can actually back up their claims with lengthy essays, or point you to "better movies" in their respective genres. Try to listen to some of the more reasonable complaints with strong arguments and comparative analysis, and you'll see why this movie has so much room for improvement, and as you've said, you can already see the cracks in its pacing. There are plenty of these "marvel haters" on youtube (not Cinemasins, and certainly not the Scottish drunk, he's popular but he is quite entitled and at times displays strong support of toxic masculinity). As an example of a reasonable complaint, the "hidden" existence of Eternals brings their questionably convenient codes into light (where were they when multiple catastrophic instances would've ended their careers and required immediate interference), as well as undermining the world-saving efforts of all Earth superheroes (the world never truly needed saving, now that we know these saviors were always around, lurking in the shadows). Some fans, like me, pointed out that they could have been trapped for centuries somehow, instead of dating hot professors in history classes while Ultron is uprooting an entire city or Thanos is throwing moons. The inconsistency breaks the world-building of MCU, and that might lead to the demise of this beloved franchise.
Bad acting. Messy plot. Dull humor. Wooden dialogue reading that sounds like it's read off a prompter. Bad writing. Characters don't have a strong backstory or motivation. The whole movie makes zero sense in the MCU since their directive is in stark contrast with Thanos snapping everyone, and they try to hand wave this problem with one line of dialogue. The very first bit of dialogue, which was between Sersi and Ikaris, was the most unrealistic interaction I could imagine. CGI was great sometimes, horrible in others. Deviants were pathetic. Ikaris was pathetic. This movie feels like sequel bait. Text crawl to open the movie. Sprite was insufferable. The most interesting character was the regular human who carried a camera. Powers were extremely underwhelming. Awkward sex scene makes no sense. Any other reasons you'd like?
The thing with Eternals is there was some absolutely great character interactions that I would have loved to see more of - that kind of slightly dysfunctional family dynamic. These guys are basically siblings and it shows in their interactions, the problem is the plot wasn't great and now they've basically broken them up (ikaris is gone and let's be honest he had some of the best interactions with people) before it got a chance to get going. Definitely wasted potential
It was never going to work. Imagine trying to fit the avengers' origins, plus thousands of years of backstory, and a present timeline crisis and resolution into one film. It was an asinine, DCEU-type of botch. I really wanted to like this movie - I'm the guy that will find something nice to say about nearly any film - but it just had no chance.
Should've made this into a long running series since y'know, the character interaction is interesting there is a lot of history with them and… this definitely doesn't work as a movie.
@@lucasezequiel3515 i mean Angelina Jolie alone was paid 35.5M from Eternals according to Forbes. how much more if it's a series with all the screen time, dialogues, etc.
I love the Easter egg of having the initial meeting of the characters played by Richard Madden and Kit Harrington having Kit dressed in black, because his last words to Kit on Game of Thrones was "next time I see you, you'll be in all black". I don't know if it was intentional but I loved it just the same.
One of the biggest takeaways from Eternals is that when Sersi turned Tiamut into stone, he gave his power to the Uni-Mind as well so that she could do it. That's why Arishem didn't annihilate the whole planet or something at the end and instead took their memories so that he could learn why Tiamut sacrificed himself. #GilgameshPie
Couldn’t it just have been the power of family and strangers of love that enabled them to beat a birthing celestial and their defiance is an anomaly that merited investigation?
@@KoiYakultGreenTea There for sure have been other anomalies, Thanos is sort of one. If Tiamut hadn't sacrificed himself, Arishem would have most likely killed the Eternals on Earth for disobeying him
Honestly I always found Taimut ‘sacrificing’ itself more logical then the unimind of Eternals. Sure Eternals are powerful but there’s no way they can take on a celestial. The only explanation would be that Taimut understand the Eternals’ reasoning and chose to sacrifice so that not only the people of the planet and Eternals could survive but so that Arishem wouldn’t simply crush the whole planet in anger after watching the disobedience of Eternals.
I also wonder how many more Celestials would've sacrificed themselves if they had the chance. Tiamut had Sersi's OP transmutation ability here, but how many others didn't have this opportunity to choose?
I felt like the plot of this movie was kind of a mess, but I did largely enjoy the characters and their interactions, which you captured pretty well here. (For example, while Druig sucks, he still has a nice rapport with Makkari. Also Karun and his bag of limitless backup cameras.) @@raiiden7263 you’re not wrong but the end credit defied that logic, if star fox is truly brother to thanos as he is in the comics than that means thanos is either part or fully an eternal, which means it would be worthy of them getting involved. And the more new characters and stories they add the backstories are going to crisscross and get confusing as they did in this movie.

I'm VERY appreciative of the MCU doing different things while keeping the core of what they do. If people don't understand or rock with it, then I cannot help them.
I hope Chloé Zhao comes back for more Eternals content, because I'd love to see more of their roles in the MCU.

couldn't agree with you. i hasn't had the opportunity to watch this the first week of it's release and i read many bad reviews before watching it but i was pleasantly surprised after watching it
This movie was chock full of humor and not nearly as bad as people made it seem.
#gilgameshpie
i really liked it tbh
I think marvel has reached a consumer base sooo large that it can literally make the worst movie on the planet and there will still be people saying that it's not that bad. not saying eternals is the worst movie on the planet, my point is that Marvel now can't make a bad movie.
12:35 this small detail might seem dumb, but it confirms the existence of the DC comics in the MCU.
for the very first time actually!
Sam & Dane 🤝 saying that doctor strange is a wizard
hahaha 😂
I remember watching this and it feels somewhat too mellow and dramatic, I forgot chaotic humors like these exist in the movie 🤣
also #gilgameshpie
yay you stayed until the very end! welcome to the club 😎
The delivery of "some internet content" gets me every time lmao
5:25 **Is she breaking up with the professor** Bruhhhhhhhhh what??😂😂
I do like the fight scenes and the character developments. Reminds me of RWBY with how you can appreciate the humor
"How many cameras did you bring, YOUNG MAN?!" Brilliant 🤩
0:02 when you take a picture of your kid:
13:48 “Oh no! Our table! It’s broken!”
I love how marvel just decided to drop this BOATLOAD of lore on a random Tuesday in 2022
9:43 Steven He would be dropping his slipper that hard on the ground.
EMOTIONAL DAMAGE
that moment youtube subtitle typed "cersei" instead sersi. perfect score on grammar.
that's how it was written in the script that i found lol
I thought the Valet was the best character in this movie, he had the best sense of humor.
yes i laughed a lot with his scenes!
9:24 U basically just described all secondary school student/teacher relationships (platonic mind u )
I put off watching this movie for so long because I heard only negative things about it, then I actually watched it and I found it very enjoyable. So I've decoded to take all reviews with a grain of salt and to go into every movie with the expectation that even if the movie is bad I'm going to have fun watching it.
same here!
Yes! People take movies too seriously sometimes. It’s all about escapism!
Good❤
I loved this movie because it was so different.
Same here
everyone is talking about the actual video but I literally just came here to see jon snow and robb stark reunite so I can finally say the north remembers
hahaha 😂
@@MariaTheMarvelVideoEditor this is the first time the creator of a video has responded to my comment, i feel honored😂

1:12 Cut off one Stark, two more shall take his place.

Makkari and Druig my beloved
ahhh yes
bro the scene where kit harington and richard madden go and meet in the middle is so funny to me. my sister hasn’t watched GOT so she was so confused lol
me neither but i knew that both had roles in it lol
3:18 is definitely my favourite part in the movie XD
7:11 Gilgamesh: "A valet? Like Alfred in Batman"
Druig hitting Sprite in the head is my absolute favourite scene in the movie!! 😆
Imagine if makkari was the start of all sign language!?
MARIA.. don’t tie ever stop making these vids
i'll try my best! 😊
Kingo was so relatable in the movie. Like he actually agrees with Ikaris but he’s not gonna hurt his family for him.
I didn't actually realise there was this much comedy in the movie. I was too busy being bored
Me like "oh okay you'd believe I'm Glinda the Good Witch in a minute but an alien from 5000 years ago is too much ?"
