    NIce install done correctly ! Manual tightening the bolts, correct tightening sequence, centering the caliper using the brake and not touching the braking surface on the discs. I've seen so many videos with so called "professionals" using electric drill drivers, to tighten up the bolts going clockwise or counter clockwise and spraying gunk over the discs. Urggghhh!

    A route I've gone and im just doing a 2000w is i got a torque arm from ebay that basically bolts to the back of the disk break mount.. so ive ended up having to space that side with the disk on because ive gone for a 9 speed freewheel so it needs a few washers but the torque arm is 4mm stainless so rather than what youve done there with the spacers the torque arm itself is the spacer spacing the caliper rather than the disk.
    The torque arm design is quite unique and should serve to make sure there is zero movement and will look better than the usual jubille clip jobbie.
    Only thing is it's been in the post since march.. coming from ukraine the irony is it got in the country quickly and been stuck at royal mail sorting office for well over a month.. laughable when they have a war going on.

    Sorry to disillusion you mate, but there's a company here in the UK that builds a bike called a Swind EB-1. It is capable of 60mph. The company says that with a 'bit of fettling', the bike will do over 80mph+. Perhaps the title of 'Worlds Fastest Mountain Bike' might be a little too optimistic. 5000 watts isn't gonna be enough mate. Maybe 20,000 and a new heavty duty frame (like the EB-1), might be more in line with your suggested vlog title.....

  • @Trikk57

    Can the fork and rear caliper mounts take the rotational forces exerted by a 220mm rotor at high speeds... Some frames will rip the mounts or bend the forks..

    You really should have a motor torque arm from grin tech as they seem to be a better grade of steel then the Chinese ones having 2 on each side would be great on your bike so it doesnt slip and it has steel support not the aluminum alloy frame lol its gonna stripe hardcore and ruin your wires 😭

    Be careful those forks are not rated to take that size disc. The maximum rated size is 180 mm.

    • @DudeStuff
      @DudeStuff  ปีที่แล้ว

      Apart from the calliper mount, what effect would the disc size have on forks? I can't see it having any issues

    • @darrencable1934
      @darrencable1934 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@DudeStuff it puts more torque through the axle so in an emergency if you slam the brake on it could pull the wheel out of the quick release dropouts. It's similar as to why you put torque arms on the rear wheel with hub motors , to stop the extra torque pulling it out. I'm not saying it will but just keep an eye on it , I'd hate for anything to happen especially with the speeds it's likely to go.

    I wonder why brake manufacturers for these don't just go for more surface area on the pad rather than just a larger diameter rotor with the same thin pad.

    • @dancapewell
      @dancapewell ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Larger the rotor less it heats up which is the main cause of break fade
