@@JohnSmith-xu7ev I also used grease, chassis and bearing automotive kinda grease. It started squealing again after maybe a year or so. Not a very long-term lubricant for this application. The factory bushings are sintered bronze, which has oil sucked into the pores that continually wicks out during heating cycles. It eventually runs out and dries up. I'm not so sure this 3 in 1 all temp silicone is going to be long-term either.

Im going to buy the better oem replacement parts from this one website. Those kits on ebay only last a year. The other problem i had is with the rubber. They would vibrate too much, sounds like you are drying a pair of shoes

The most common thing is the gas coils, at least on older models like mine (which are the most reliable). They're electromagnetic coils that actuate the gas valve. They're dirt cheap from my experience. You can test them with by unhooking the wires and using a multimeter to ohm them out. TH-cam knows all about it.

Total Rust restoration and roller belt kit.
I put silicone on the roller shaft and it was quiet for a while, but then soon after the shaft started rusting then squeaking loud, I’m guessing since I saw the light rust. So I cleaned and put car axle grease lightly and no noise but got a slight rotating thump or knock. ??? So I went out and bought a new dryer that matches my new washer, was so happy cause it matches.
My restored dryer works, just don’t know when the noise will pop up with new parts, come and go squeaks, thump, weird noise, then goes away… oh well destined for a new one.
