Ile de Re, your footage brought back so many happy memories! I holidayed on Noirmoutier about 30 years ago. The Atlantic coast is amazing

Glad it was helpful and hope you have a great time, Brittany is beautiful with some amazing towns to explore. Dinan was the highlight for me - although it was busy at the end of June.

Thanks so much! The Martin Dorey books are great as he suggests different multi day routes you can take with lots of little hidden gems along the way! We also use the Scotland one a lot.

Thank you for watching the channel 😊 we are in the stages of planning our summer trip to the Italian Dolomites, Slovenia and Croatia in the van that we will probably share some of the planning process for. For us a big consideration is Schengen days for the first time due to our ski trips. Happy travels in your new motorhome 🚐

Great content and a well produced video with stable camera work, thanks!
I visited Noirmoutier ages ago in my early teens, and still remember the oak forests, sand dunes and the mimosas flowering everywhere. The flat roof construction of many of the buildings was also striking.
Dinan is a real gem! We are caravaners, and stayed at Camping La Hallerais in Taden. This is located on the banks of the river Rance, and you can walk along the paved riverside path to the outskirts of Dinan in around 30 minutes. Dinan is best visited in one of the shoulder seasons because it is so popular, and deservedly so.
Yes, Martin Dorey's Slow Road France is fantastically useful, even if you are a caravaner, for the location descriptions. Martin always writes well, but he has in depth knowledge of the French Atlantic Coast, and this shines through in his writing.

We love his books and also use the Scotland book regularly when travelling up there. Noirmoutier was such a hidden gem that we felt privileged to discover. We loved cycling around the island as you get to see so much more than when driving and I was totally fascinated by the graffiti art work. There is still so much of France for us to discover as we have never explored the central regions like the Dordogne and Provence.

Some great recommendations. The Mediterranean coast is similar all year round. Just go inland a bit and you'll find some great places to wildcamp or aires/áreas.
Love the Ile de Ré, Concarneau and Dinan.😊

I have just had a look at the region, it looks gorgeous. It was the one area we missed as we were keen to get to the islands but will return to - we also want to return to Arcachon and the Dune Du Pilat. Thanks for the recommendation 🚐

Loved the video guys. We’re heading to the Picos de Europa in September and travelling through France. Will definitely look at some of the locations you have suggested in the South around Biarritz area. We also loved the Ile de Ré so maybe next time we’ll try Ile D’Oleron. Thanks for sharing and keep safe. Irvine & Karen.

Cheers. The Picos de Europa were the great discovery of the trip for us as we didn't even know they existed until a few days before we left the UK. Someone we met on a campsite suggested we visit and I am so glad we did! The Ile D'Oleron was great as it was not as busy. Happy travels x
