Went into Phil Smith Acura for a 2024 Acura Integra type s, the results were typical, but i managed to get pics of the out the door, see video and enjoy. Like , share, subscribe please 🙏
I love your videos, keep posting. I’m on the hunt for an FL5 but i’ll wait until the 2024’s hit the lot. The last price i negotiated was $49.5 here in southern cali. Honestly i dont want to pay any type of markup but dealers here arent budging.
People will look at this and think you're trippin. They don't understand as the customer you are supposed to be able to pay for what you want. So in other words, if they want to go $2,000 over it's because you purchased some dope ass accessories that compliments your style. Just paying $2,000-$3,000 because the dealer says so is just bullshit.
Dude, you gotta call and confirm before you go. I bought one for MSRP here in PA. I called a bunch of dealerships and confirmed if there is a mark up. Sure enough, except for the one out in the countryside, every dealership close to Philly are charging at least a $5k markup. Respect for walking away though. If we all customers refuse to pay these insane markups collectively, these stealerships ain’t gonna change. But human nature is such that, we can’t control the urge.
Well I guess you are calling me a liar then because yes I did buy an Acura Type S Performance Red on Ebony for MSRP. It was the very first Acura dealership that I went to which was Fox Acura in Grand Rapids Michigan. They told me that they never charge markups and I believe them. My price was $38,042.74 including all taxes and fees minus my trade-in which was a 2015 Civic Si. Acura did charge an add on which was the Red color and that was it. Dealerships have nothing to do with add ons. That is either what Acura is responsible for, or in most cases, what the customer is asking for. Markups are an additional fee that the dealer charges and is zero benefit to the customer and has absolutely nothing to do with Acura.
What’s up man. I tried that dealer too. I ended up with Pembroke Pines Acura at MSRP plus 1k give or take in dealer add ons. Got my Apex Blue with Ebony. Have questions, feel free to ask.
Just wait. If interest rates stay up, you will probably eventually find a deal at MSRP. If they can find people who are willing to pay the markup, then you are probably SOL, but you never know. Also, there are alternatives in the market to the Type S, but it won't be exactly the same experience. I bought a 3.3 G70 because it gets great reviews, and it's rear drive, but it's not the same experience as a manual car. The sales managers just want to move the cars for as much profit as they can squeeze, given the market conditions. It's not really personal.
Damn i had hope on this one!! Dope that you aint giving up. I wonder if this would be possible in cali but man they tried to get me for around 10 Msrp. I was like i dont want any accessories lol take it all off and ill take it .
In the State of Fla it's against the Law to mark up the MSRP, but they can you on the add on's which one doesn't want. Good luck looking around the state and I know you will get a new car for MSRP soon.
Well someone is being dishonest. An add on is not a markup. I believe he said $52K something. The base car is $51K so $52K reflects the color which is an add on. If there really is a state law that disallows dealer markups, then the dealers would be breaking the law. This guy is saying that dealer after dealer after dealer is charging markups. How is this possible with the state law? There is definitely something fishy with this story. It doesn't add up. It doesn't sound like he is confusing add ons with markups which are totally different things.
I sadly contributed to the problem when i bought my CT4 V BW. Kia dealership had a used one with 1k miles on it but with all the features it had car was definitely under listed. So i went expecting to pay the advertised price and they hit me with their dealer add on bullshit like key fob replacement blah blah. Even with that addon it was still cheaper than the one i had on order but since i hadn't heard shit in 8 months about my order being accepted I said fuck it and bought it. They came down some on their addon garbage but it is what it is. Best car I've ever owned so it was worth it for me. Dealerships still can suck my nuts though but they got me this time lol.
@@sokratzmmf yeah that's the norm for most cars. I easily could have waited and got one cheaper but I wanted it now back then lol. Still glad I bought it. Wonderful car.
Hey man, I have been following your journey, I just got a call 5 minutes ago from a dealer here in Ct. He said, he has a championship White Civic Type R coming in on 11/27 and if I want it, I can have it for MSRP, 44k$ I am going to pass on it, I am saving up for the Integra Type s, But I wanted to tell you, if you are willing to go on a road trip, you can come to CT and buy a white CTR for MSRP in 2 weeks if you want. Hit me back for the dealer info.
Thanks for this buddy, I may also pass on the CTR for ITR , but nothing is for certain . Let’s see what happens between now and 2 weeks. I appreciate your tip
Hopefully Pembroke comes through. They have a TH-cam channel (AHC Garage) that I believe is out of there. Seem like good people on their TH-cam channel and true car enthusiasts. GL.
Financially speaking, if you can't pay for the car in cash, you really can't afford it anyways. Save up and pay for it in cash, and you don't have to worry about paying interest. Just like mark-ups, interest is free money that you are giving away to the banks. #DaveRamsey
When I bought my fk8 type r I had to go through like 15 different dealer to find one that was only doing $500 over sticker. These cars aren’t worth the markup keep searching!
Only way you getting at MSRP is if you friends with the GM. Sadly ppl gonna pay over MSRP. Also interest rates are high. When they interest rate drops they gonna ask for more market up.
@@moonrockschopshop ppl can say they got it for MSRP all day, till I see it in writing in contract then I’m not a believer. also if they add accessories they are going to be marked up as if the car has a mark up and try say they got it for MSRP but they spending $800 on wheel locks or $600 nitrogen ect. That’s still a mark up.
@@kevinlindsey9537 No it is not. If you are buying accessories, then of course that is not a markup. you are purchasing that accessory. If you want the copper wheels for example, you end up with both the copper wheels and the gray wheels. Your thinking is totally messed up. add ons are accessories that you purchase from Acura. A markup is 100% dealer profit with the customer getting nothing in return.
“I’m in no rush to get ripped off” 😂
That was a cool and funny line. Love it! 🫶
I’ll be here all week
Got to admit I'm learning a lot and salute to your conviction. Keep making thses videos.
Thank you sir , I didn’t know I was being educational but it’s very humbling to kno that

I kinda like the adventure
I’m sitting out at the moment on the Type R Type S search. It is exhausting I know what your going through.
Bro those SFL mark ups are crazy. They tried to get me on an RS3 in Miami. I walked out
Yea Miami is a whole different level of markups , check my video where the guys was trying to get 25k over

Good for you.
The strongest advantage a buyer has is walking away from a bad deal. The dealership will call back the customer if the dealership needs a deal.
100 percent agree
Good on your for turning it down. Fight the good fight.
GOOOD STUFF SUBSCRIBED LET THEM KNOW 🔥
Thank you

I love AHC. Yes hopefully they be the ones
I wonder what nationality the saleswomen was?
Haha jk I’m loving this journey

Wise words
Let them mark it up and it will sit at the dealerships. Give it time and on the bright side you didn’t burn a massive hole in ur pocket.

For sure bro thank you
Yo Medesto has no markup’s
Thanks for the info !
Damn screwed again eh bud 😅 fuck!! I guess they don’t want your business too bad for them. Don’t worry about a thing 🙏🏿 the next one for sure, bro
