- In this video, I am fishing with Andrew Logan, in a small Wisconsin creek!
I catch two fish in this video, one is a HUGE personal best, while the other is a really pretty bucket list fish!
We are using light gear, a bobber and a 8 lb leader to catch these fish! As you can tell, I was super stoked to bring these fish in!

Ty, I'd love to see you grab your UL and target my favorite - the shellcracker (redear sunfish), the king of the bream. This coming full moon and a few days before, it should be on, depending on water temp. I am lucky to have a water nearby where they average over 1 lb.

I've never actually got the chance to catch any trout so for me just being able to watch average Joe's like myself catch monster fish is awesome. Thanks for making fun videos like this. We feel like we are right there fishing with you guys.

That female Steelhead was a monster and put up one heck of a fight even after she had just spawned. The males seem to fight even harder, maybe the best fresh water fighters in North America next to Atlantic Salmon. You’re right that male was a perfect specimen. Great coloration and spot pattern. Thanks for the very entertaining video.

Good video Ty. I didn’t expect to see you catching Steelhead. Now you know why we go nuts for them in British Columbia and the Pacific Northwest states. The wild sea run steelhead can get up to 30 pounds or more. Nothing wrong with the steelies in the Great Lakes system either. Gotta love what is essentially a BIG ASS RAINBOW TROUT.

it was 8 lb leader....Andrew fights them on way harder drag than me, I am still learning how much pressure to put on them. regardless that second one was insane lol
Some of them steelies are just beautiful.. we got all different kinds of beautiful trout up here in Ontario where in from just on a lockdown right now and the region im in say no fishing 😭

All the post spawn loose skin that thing would have been super fat a few days ago but good it got to spawn before being caught I’ve caught some pre spawn and they start dumping their eggs on shore
yeha man that thing would have probably been a tenner a few days before!
What beautiful fish. We don’t have any steelheads but we do have browns and rainbow. Nothing that size though. Great video.

Make sure you get someone to cook up some Steelhead for you. Some of the biggest and tastiest trout filets you'll ever eat.
If you think they fight hard now, you really should hook a fresh run fish in the fall. No comparison.

Used to live in Washington State. On the Columbia river. I lived Nat geo. Coho..... Silver Salmon. Chinook. Steelhead. I have caught hundreds of salmon. Brought back a ton of memories. Great job. Check out Abernathy fish hatchery on google earth. That was my old fishing grounds.

As mystical a fish that the rainbow trout is, they are certifiably duuuuuumb. Put anything in front of their face, and they'll snap at it. This is part of the reason why steelhead are badly endangered on the west coast.

Nice Steelie!! We go to Pulaski NY for the salmon run every year. My mother caught a 17lb Steelie just north of town. It was awesome watching her fight that fish!! She is about 4'10" tall and was in waist deep water! That fish jumped over her twice before she landed it! It was epic!!

See this is what I call real sportsman fishing. You don't take more than necessary, and not the bigs one:D Big fisk kan be real old, not worth to eat and they are normally females. And they are pretty necessary to keep up the stock. Btw that fish will have been crazy big before spawn:D Great fish man

Ok so according to what I looked up on Google rainbow trout and steelhead are same fish just different name lol cool iv caught some before in north Carolina along with brown and brook trout

That first fish wasn't a steelhead., not what the west coast calls a steelhead anyway. That looked liked a rainbow trout.
