Option 1: Apple Watch Ultra 2 (Titanium) - Why it's compelling: - Battery Life: The Ultra 2 offers up to 36 hours of battery life in normal mode and 72 hours in low-power mode, significantly more than the Series 10's 18-36 hours. - Durability: The titanium case with sapphire crystal display is built for rugged environments, making it perfect for outdoor activities like hiking or diving. - Additional Features: The Ultra 2 comes with extra hardware like the Action Button and is designed for extreme sports with features like depth gauge, dual-frequency GPS, and water temperature sensors, which aren't available on the Series 10. - Small Price Difference: With the Ultra 2 priced at $749-$799 and the Series 10 Titanium at $699-$749, the price difference isn't vast, making the Ultra 2 more attractive if you value those extra features. Option 2: Apple Watch Series 10 Aluminum - Why it's a good choice if cost is a factor: - Lower Price: The aluminum version starts at $399-$429, a more budget-friendly option. - Lightweight: It's also lighter than the titanium model, making it more comfortable for everyday wear. - AI Hardware Advancements: If you're someone who believes in rapid improvements in AI hardware over the next few years, buying the aluminum version means you can upgrade more frequently without feeling the burden of having spent a lot upfront on a premium model. - Future Tech: By saving on the initial cost, you’re more flexible to upgrade sooner as Apple improves chips (e.g., the S10 chip is already more efficient than the S9, but it’s likely more substantial upgrades are coming in the next 1-3 years. Decision Factors: If you value battery life, durability, and enhanced outdoor features, the Ultra 2 offers great value for a small price increase. If you prioritize cost-efficiency and frequent upgrades, opting for the Series 10 Aluminum could make more sense, as it lets you save now and upgrade sooner when the hardware improves.
Well said. Been deciding on whether or not to buy out an Apple Watch or finance and which Apple Watch I should get. I’ve been leaning more towards the ultra.
I made the switch from the 9 to the 10, mainly adding cellular but the slightly thinner design and larger screen are nice if barely noticeable. The viewing angle is better though and I do like to be able to play music. My wife loves sending me voice memos instead of texting so now I can hear those messages without going to my phone, huge plus. I use a protective case on mine (same brand for both) and they are very similar in size after that. Im a mechanic so I'm always banging my watch on everything. My 9 looks immaculate after using it for the past 7 or 8 months, so highly recommended a case to protect the investment.
indeed but the point is some are less resistant or less at showing said scratches :) not all scratches are created or shown equally across all materials and colors. Hopefully it never scratches like that one jet black iPhone is my hope! Please keep us well updated with scratches that are excessively more than the normal I have an 8 that was that black color sure I’m sure there’s micro scratches that aren’t seen even looking but again can’t tell.. jet blk may be different well the phone was I know that was years ago and Apple may have learned from that “gate”. Again is my hope because if I were to it be jet black for sure such a clean look

Series 10 46mm: Using Low Power Mode (LPM) most of the time battery life is 30-36 hours between 80% and 20%. Charge time using a 20 watt USB-C charger going from 20% back to 80% takes less than 20 minutes
I checked the difference between my series 7 to series 10 at the Apple Store… I couldn’t even tell it was that much thinner like he is describing. I couldn’t even tell tell the screen was bigger but not “sooo much biggeeer”. SMH
I updated to the Apple Watch Series 10 GPS (2024) from my Apple Watch Series 3 LTE (2018). And this is a huge difference. It feels all better as it did with the 3 in 2018. Best new features with the 10 is the bigger screen even with nearly same sizes (42mm) and that it is thinner. Now I have no problem with it wearing it under long shirts and take a look at it. Hearing music on the wrist is also great. So the phone can charge and stay where it is and i have my music everywhere with me and hands free to do something at home. And the watch is blazing fast again.
If I can just get me series 3 to last a couple more years I’ll be very happy. So far I have no reason to upgrade it besides all the new faces. It still works 🤷♀️
Thinking of upgrading my Apple Watch 5 to this newest 10. I did not use or charge my 5 for 3-4 years, so its battery and the whole watch still works perfectly otherwise. Although I was looking at the Ultra 2 as well.
Went ahead and upgraded my wife’s Series 9 to the Series 10 because Best Buy offered us a $300 trade in, which is what we paid for her Series 9, which made the Series 10 only $99 plus tax and we had some Best Buy rewards that were about to expire.
Fyi I ordered the Slate Titanium and it actually looks like the Space Black. I was so confused bc it looks different in the renders but here we are. The reason why I got the titanium it’s the sapphire crystal, I have the S7 SS for 3 years now and has 0 scratches 😃
I just ordered the black ultra 2 which is my first Apple Watch ever. My previous watch was an Amazfit GTR 3 Pro with up to 12 days of battery life, I loved that watch but it did last for 2 years and died eventually. The battery life is a deciding factor enough to pick up the ultra rather than the regular Apple Watches on life support. I’m exited and hope that the ultra 2 will cover me for the next years.

I don't know what you did with it, that after a year it looks like it looks...
Coming from a SSS4, I was considering the AWU2, but changed my mind after seeing some scratch tests. Then I considered the 10, and thought about how similar it is to the 9 and how little the weight matters to me. A refurb SSS9 is enough of a leap without sacrificing the weight and proven finish I’ve gotten accustomed to
Some statements are just stupid and exaggerated. The glass is wider and the bezel thicker on the series 10, that‘s why the crown goes „edge to edge“ on the series 10. You can clearly see from the side that the glass on the series 10 is „thicker“ than that on the 9, so there is less metal and more bezel.
"We have the Ultra 2 that has a bunch of upgrades as well". Did this guy actually watch the Keynote??? The only upgrade (if you can call it that) the Ultra 2 got was an extra colour, and that is it.
@@Magic_Alonso The storage is exactly the same for the Ultra 2 in black, at 64GB (and it's been 64GB since the first Ultra). There was also no new chip/s. The chip/chips are the same with the black Ultra as they were for the Ultra 2's that were introduced last year.
I currently have the series 9 for 6 months now and I enjoy it it is a very good watch. Is it worth upgrading to the ultra 2 black or should I wait for the ultra 3 next year? Will there be an ultra 3 in black next year?

no change in design same old Apple Watch, so disappointing. In 10 years you can wear any model since Apple Watch 4 and you barely could tell the difference from little far away. No new sensors that was a bummer again. I have been waiting and waiting for a new form factor and new sensors ... I had the series 7 41mm black watch and have been wanting to get a bigger screen, but series 8 and 9 the differences weren't enough to make worth upgrading to. I got a series 10 46mm silver and really happy with it. Bigger easy to read screen and slightly thinner really glad I waited. After having the black series 7 I like the silver series 10 the contrast in color is nice. I've lost all interest in the Ultra watch with this new series 10.
I have had many Apple Watches and, like you, I choose the Ultra 2. It's extremely useable big crown knob is an underrated feature of the AWU. It's everything.

I don't want to spend all that money to get the titanium... so I'm really doubting what to do... maybe I should stay with the 5 another year and see
I had apple watch 7 ion glass, used to wear it 24/7 for almost 3 years i had no scratches, or they were almost impossible to see. Now i bought the new 10s and i am planning to wear it in same way for another 3 years. Ultra is huge for my wrist and not comfy for wearing during night, also costs double ...
A French media said that s10 SiP is exactly the same as s9 but built on one level instead of two in the s9, and introducing it on Ultra 2 would necessitate a complete internal redesign for nothing as it’s the same performance, so maybe from this news, we can expect a thinner Ultra 3 if Apple decides to redesign it using this 1 level design chip.
I'm still rocking the Ultra 1 and I was holding out for the Ultra 3 but as we all know, that didn't happen this year :(. Now I am trying to decide if I keep my Ultra 1 for another year or just get the Ultra 2. I still really like my Ultra 1 but the main things I want from the Ultra 2 are faster offline Siri since I use Siri a lot and she often fails when I am in the car or out and about because the internet is not good enough and I also want slightly longer battery life. I know apple didn't advertise longer battery life with the Ultra 2, probably because they made the screen 50% brighter but I would be happy to reduce the brightness to save power since I have no need for 3000 nits and also I saw a battery life test where the Ultra 2 still had 41% battery left when the Ultra 1 died so it does seem that the 4nm chip is a lot more power efficient than the 7nm chip in the Ultra 1. Should I get the Ultra 2 or hold off and wait for the 3? Or... the most fun option is to get the Ultra 2 and then also get the Ultra 3 when that comes out!
Sapphire should be available since the base model. 60hz on the base iPhone series is fine because it doesn’t affect the usage that much but no sapphire on a watch this price is just evil. And I know Apple won’t change this. Really? How much it’s gonna cost?
@@xxxtraheatxx7514 I always keep two watches. I’ll be given a series 9 to my son to replace the series 8 then I usually give the oldest one away to a family member who needs one.

I would not recommend any watch from this year Honestly just skip it mainly due to (nnhf) no new health features. Apple Watch series, 11 might bring new health features and the hardware advancements from the series 10
It lasts a long time, I have the series 6 from launch and now 4 years later the battery health is 84%. It is on my wrist all the time except when I am having a shower and use it for excercise nearly every day . I don't think you can turn the GPS off. You can prolong the battery life if you turn the low battery mode on like an iPhone. The sad thing is this is a disposable watch , a year ago I tried to part exchange with the 9 but Apple website said to recycle it, ie it is worth nothing and yet it works fine until today. I think it will be fine for at least another year. I charge the watch once a day except when I want to use the Sleep monitor.
Was really looking forward to the review; however, with all the different watch faces on all the watches and playback music while this suppose to be a "comparison" video.... as guess it's not a true side by side comparison video.
Why do you call the old Ultra 2 NEW? It's unchanged ! Oh wait, there's a new color...Yep that makes it all new Apple screwed the pooch on that one and the "new" Airpods Max.
Wish y’all would do a video about pushing battery life to the max on the apple watch. ie how long can you make the battery last turning off data and other settings. I get a little over 2 days on my series 9 now. I wonder if I turned most things off on the ultra how many days it would last.
How does one get up to 80% in 30min ? I got my watch 10 a few days ago and did checked a few charging on it and never get a fast charging, not faster then with my previous serie 8. Today checked it again ... started at 34% ...got up to 66% after 30 min charging, and up to 76% after 40min. Far from the advertising of 80% gain in 30min !!!! And those who say you only have to charge the watch during 8min to be sure to get trou the night for sleep tracking. Sorry, that's BS

I would not recommend any watch from this year
Honestly just skip it mainly due to (nnhf) no new health features.
Apple Watch series, 11 might bring new health features and the hardware advancements from the series 10
How long do batteries last in Apple Watch? Can I turn off GPS to extend battery? Thank you.
Series 10 it's a fitbit Versa with Ios.
You are playing different songs between the two watches, that's not a really fair comparison.
Request to test flashlights, I'm curious about the color red
they reduced the thickness so they had to put everything they reduced somewhere else
i have ultra 2 and mine does the second ticking thingy too
I wasn’t expecting that 😮
Dang we can’t even use our custom ring tones on the watch wow that sucks
So the 9 used Sapphire but the 10 uses ion x?
The tribe band is the blackest
Black ultra 2🔥🔥
Why do you call the old Ultra 2 NEW? It's unchanged ! Oh wait, there's a new color...Yep that makes it all new Apple screwed the pooch on that one and the "new" Airpods Max.
No blood ox tho on 10.
Or the Ultra 2 if it was purchased less than like 8 months ago.
You should swap to Garmin and enjoy weeks of battery 🔋 life
fast charging will heat battery and will shorten its life.
Why apple watch 10 its come with thicker bezels bigger than Apple Watch s9
The way you are happy that your gadget still charge at 5w...is fascinating...😂😂👐
Well 5w is better than 0w.. says every Apple enthusiasts, probably..
Bruh stop trying to justify it this years had one of the worst keynotes basically the same with different color stop being fan boy 😊
apple needs to add 80% in 30 minutes to the iPhone. They did it on the watch, so why not iPhone?
Thanks for the in-depth comparison Vadim, I was on the fence but seeing it in more detail made me decide to get the Series 10 👍
He is wrong 🙅♂️ they both have ultra 1-2 and series 10 has 1ntz display.
Bro sound wrong in many ways
Edna Valleys
They should have changed the design years ago, lazy apple..
Wish y’all would do a video about pushing battery life to the max on the apple watch. ie how long can you make the battery last turning off data and other settings. I get a little over 2 days on my series 9 now. I wonder if I turned most things off on the ultra how many days it would last.
Calm down, it’s a millimeter bigger. Tool
is this a parody account?
How does one get up to 80% in 30min ?
I got my watch 10 a few days ago and did checked a few charging on it and never get a fast charging, not faster then with my previous serie 8.
Today checked it again ... started at 34% ...got up to 66% after 30 min charging, and up to 76% after 40min. Far from the advertising of 80% gain in 30min !!!!
And those who say you only have to charge the watch during 8min to be sure to get trou the night for sleep tracking. Sorry, that's BS
Thanks for this! I have the 9 (45 mm) and trying to decide if I want the 10 (46 mm)
There is no need for a year-to-year upgrade with the watches.
@@jean-philipperottiers614 fr i dont get why people do it, unless they are very rich
Worst review I have ever sat through. Midnight black this, thickness that. It's a fitness watch let's talk about that maybe
Why don’t you put a screen protector on it ?
Screen protectors are for cowards…
Not so sure about fast charging...new series 10 took 15 minutes this morning to charge from 91 to 100%. Used new charging cable and Apple 20W brick
You probably have charge optimization turned on than it would make sense
@@lorenzocorsomusic1308of course, people somehow forget about this.
Lithium based batteries charge slower the closer to 100% you get. The last 10-20% are always quite slow on all devices.
@@stephanepostthis
@@stephanepostthats true actually ur right also with my iphone its charge very slow when its reach 80% 😂
