I was a stay at home Mother & always felt that I never measured up to my Husband's Sisters, who were both career Moms or other Mothers who brought a second income...until one day, I had a total breakdown about it, my kids, by this time were older, not little anymore, but 1 of my Sons put his arm around me & said "Mom...thank you, thank you for all your early morning breakfasts & getting on me every morning for not finishing my homework & looking out the window for the bus, so us kids wouldn't miss it, making sure I wore a hat as I went out the door, even though I took it off as soon as you couldn't see, but still, you always insisted I wear one. Thank you for always having a smile on your face when I got home & asking ME how MY day went, telling me to get out of the refrigerator because you're making dinner & I need to wait. For sending my friends home because I hadn't finished my homework, for getting upset with me when you caught me on the computer at 12 O clock at night, instead of sleeping, for so many things that you were there for & I never told you thanks or I love you or you're the greatest. I never asked you how you were doing, what your day was like, So many times, just assumed, because, afterall, your Mom. He told me, if it hadn't been for me being there for him every morning, every night, every time he needed me, he didn't feel he would've grown to be the man I raised him to be & he can't wait to emulate the same LOVE to his children one day, by my example of what a parent should be. BLESSED!

I stayed home, raised my children, while we lived on one income. This was difficult but the sacrifice was worth it. I was privileged to homeschool my children also. My mom died when I was only 5. While I had step-moms, I was never "mothered", but I was determined to read books on raising children and I became the mother I never really had. It was the best part of my life.
I love this. Unfortunately, my mother wasn’t very kind to me. Yea, she put food on the table, clothes on my back and a roof over my head but there was a lot of mental abuse that I endured. I now have a baby girl of my own and I refuse to put her through the same traumas I went through. I pray I am this kind of mama for her.❤️

I was going through a rough stretch. My Mother, old and drawn, came to me and said, “I will always stick with you”. She always did. 2 weeks before she died of Alzheimer’s she became lucid for 3 hours. Those three hours of saying goodbye and exchanging our love for each other was a wonderful gift from God. Thank you to all the Mothers that stick with us.

I used to be Catholic and I used to do the same exact thing until God showed me it was a form of idolatry to honor, revere, anyone else but Him and that it is especially an abomination to pray to anyone but God. Sometimes we can put things above God in our hearts and not even know it. The Bible does say to honor our mother and our father and to respect our elders but it was not talking about Jesus's mother and father because Mary does not give us spiritual blessings, or spiritual direction today. That is something only the Lord can do. Jesus even rebuked His own mother at one point when the villagers told Jesus that His mother and brothers were outside waiting for Him because she wanted to speak with Him about His preaching. Jesus's response was, "who is my mother and who are my brothers? They that do the will of God are my family." Basically He was saying His mother was not doing the will of God because she was trying to persuade Him to quiet down on His preaching because she was afraid for His safety, which showed that even though she was doing it because she loved Him, she was still not doing the will of God because she was trying to prevent Him from sharing the Word and she was acting in fear. So even Jesus knew His mother was in the wrong and at times was not doing the will of God. But don't take my word for it! Go straight to the Lord 🤗

My mother passed away in June. She was my best friend. I cared for her 24/7 in the last months of her life. I miss her terribly. I have 2 biological sons and 10 foster children. She was a wonderful grandmother to them too.
My mother wasn't like this at all. She never wanted me and still treats me awful, but I always longed for a mother who loved me. I was lucky to have my gran though, mothered me and is the reason I am the woman I am. Thank God for giving me this life. Not always easy but the one I needed to make me strong.

This song is perfect for me and my mom. I was born with special needs and I love doing musicals almost every show I’m in she is almost always in the audience cheering me on. Me and my mom got to be in the sound of music ( her favorite musical) 2 years ago. That was the best. She was Frau Schmit and I was Froyline Schmit. This reminds me of all the experiences I've with my grandma from my mother's side... Whenever my mother and I would go there she'd tell the stories of my mother's childhood... all the mischief she did..... And I still visit her though not frequently. I just love all the stories she tells. And she still tells stories of princesses and evils and heroes.. And Even though I'm surrounded by reality of growing up,I still love them❤❤

I’m expecting my second baby next month, and it was the reminder I needed to hear, especially during this COVID time. I know the Lord will provide what our growing family needs, and I pray for the confidence and strength to flourish in my time of motherhood, especially now that I’ll have a little girl of my own. My biological mother abandoned me when I was 15,she left me at my boyfriend's house and just never came back. I thought I lost the only mother I'd ever have. My boyfriend's mom stepped up and showed me what a mom really looks like. I used to be Catholic and I used to do the same exact thing until God showed me it was a form of idolatry to honor, revere, anyone else but Him and that it is especially an abomination to pray to anyone but God. Sometimes we can put things above God in our hearts and not even know it. The Bible does say to honor our mother and our father and to respect our elders but it was not talking about Jesus's mother and father because Mary does not give us spiritual blessings, or spiritual direction today. That is something only the Lord can do. Jesus even rebuked His own mother at one point when the villagers told Jesus that His mother and brothers were outside waiting for Him because she wanted to speak with Him about His preaching. Jesus's response was, "who is my mother and who are my brothers? They that do the will of God are my family." Basically He was saying His mother was not doing the will of God because she was trying to persuade Him to quiet down on His preaching because she was afraid for His safety, which showed that even though she was doing it because she loved Him, she was still not doing the will of God because she was trying to prevent Him from sharing the Word and she was acting in fear. So even Jesus knew His mother was in the wrong and at times was not doing the will of God. But don't take my word for it! Go straight to the Lord 🤗
