My oldest started kindergarten this year and we chose to homeschool. I've been so worried about teaching reading, and it has gone good so far, but sometimes it just doesn't click. I've only watched a few of your shorts, but I can already tell I've found a valuable resource in making sure my child has the best start when it comes to reading. Oh my gosh! I needed this years ago! My daughter knew all the sounds, but couldn’t put them together. Now I’m an ESL teacher, these videos are helpful since I often teach young children
Might not work if the kid has ADHD though. That's how they tried to teach me reading and later learning foreign languages. The only takeaway I had as a kid is that I am stupid. Now (47y) I am bilingual and in addition to the two languages I have basic knowledge in three more. I still struggle with reading on some days but I got a computer and I know how to use it. Kids are different and some cannot hear the differences in some sounds.

I really appreciate your videos. I don't have kids yet, but I help my friend's youngest brother with reading.
We do this in phonics in school. The teacher says the sounds of a word and the children merge them and say the word.

I actually make my daughter watch my mouth when she can't say certain words... I say it in parts, and after a few times, she gets it...

U r right. I started teaching my child with sound like f but instead of writing in English she started writing in hindiletter f. She got confuses.
