  • Here is a demonstration of one of our abrasive waterjet cutting systems being used to cut the Semyx logo out of a sheet of metal. When it comes to cutting metal, waterjet cutting is the most versatile and efficient process on the market. When using abrasive in waterjets, it creates a clean cut that does not require a secondary finishing. Therefore, abrasive waterjets are ideal for metals such as aluminum, steel, stainless steel, tool steel, titanium, brass, copper, inconel, alloys, and any other exotic material.

When I was young I had the idea of using a water jet as a cutter but then I found out that I was not the first one who thought about it.

I call BS on the " does not require a secondary finishing".... I work in the aerospace industry with waterjet cut parts all the time, waterjet does an awesome job but it leaves a lot of pitting that it takes a Dotco to get out, especially on .190 7075 aluminum. Titanium is much cleaner tho. That said, the technology that allows us to cut metal with water is mind boggling.

Use particle board on aluminum and you won't get the tiger striping or the corrosion on 7075.
