I lived in Izmir, (Smyrna in the New Testament)Turkey as a child, they pronounce it Eph e sus, not E phee sus. Elder Mark E Petersen came to visit in May or June of 1966 (I was only 11) and our branch went with him to Ephesus and several other places Paul had been to in the area. It was amazing to hear an apostle speak of Paul as if he were a friend.

I love this guy's method of teaching, vivid descriptions with a lot of appropriate humour. Reminded me of my favourite school teacher.

My husband and I always felt like it isn't "my" mission. It isn't adding glory to you. But it is "a" mission served for Christ.

Which is why it's important for us to write so our progeny will know us and what we believe.

I love what Brother Richardson said about getting to know Paul through his writings. For people wondering about who Joseph Smith, Jr., was, I advise them to read what he gave the world: read the scriptures. Assume what he wrote came from Joseph alone. As far as I know, he spoke everything and a scribe wrote it down. If he wrote it, after hundreds of thousands of words, you will know Joseph. What he came straight from his mouth and his heart. There has been no rewriting, cut and pasting, redoing, starting over, redacting, or editing by his editors. Yes, there have been a few limited changes, such as punctuation in the Book of Mormon, or whether Joseph said “straight” or “strait”. He rewrote D&C section 76 in poetry, but I still like the original D&C version better. As you study what he wrote, you will come to see the depth of his love, honesty, tenderness, care for all peoples, forgiveness-every quality of our Savior. Eventually, you will see he prophetically reveals God and Jesus Christ and who They are and their infinite goodness and love for us.

Correction, hobbling a horse ties the two front legs together, not a hind and front leg. They can still move fast if spooked though.

It's funny-- I was just thinking of Dr. Richardson the other day. I still remember his marriage and family class back in 2010. 😅

Good morning. Thank you for taking the time to do these podcasts. You referred to some JST that are not in my scriptures. Where can I find them or do I need newer versions?

wanting to know if Dr. Richardson's father was in a Murray Utah East Stake Presidency during 1977-78? If so I knew his dad and would like to send him a personal message about his dad.
