I love my Series 7 45mm cellular. It’s been amazing, and for me I haven’t gotten any scratches on my glass (I have the aluminum product red). After seeing the Series 8 and how little the updates were, I think I’ll still be keeping my series 7 for awhile.
It kind of defeats the purpose of a watch if you upgrade it yearly, so never feel pressured to do so! Plus, the 8 has such minute changes over the 7 that yes, it’s not worth the extra 400$+ to get it.
@@partapsingh2899 I’ve had my S7 since May 2022, and reason being it was on discount from Amazon. After taxes and everything my S7 45mm with cellular costed $496 after taxes while Apple was still charging $529 pre tax for the same S7 45mm with cellular.
In Europe the AW Series8 costs 20% more than the Series7 did at launch. Additionally the Series7 has dropped in price by about 100 euros in my country since launch. It’s a no-brainier for me to buy the Series7. Especially for the stainless steel version I managed to save 300 Euros. The Series8 simply has no new functions worth upgrading to over the Series7..
Bought my Series 7 45mm in midnight in march and I’m very glad I did…got it for 370€ brand new,now you need almost 550€ for Series 8 which is a very minor upgrade in my opinion… Bravo Dion, keep it up with your videos!
The 45mm Starlight models are $329 at Walmart and Amazon right now. I ordered a refurbished Series 5 that was scuffed up pretty bad for $249 so Im returning it and getting a 7 instead.
Hey, really good review i personally bought it and after 3 days of use ive had 2 sizable scratches and i was really underwhelmed about that too, i bought a protector but it is really not beautiful but i am gonna need to stick with him
Excellent review, I just bought an apple watch series 7, and i really like it, everything is fast and smooth. need more time to experience it. By the way, what model is the watch strap in the video?
Hey! How much battery does a Cellular series 7 consume??? I am confused coz I'm gonna buy the 8 cellular 45mm version. will.it last a full day? also, how about the scratches?? should i also put a screen protector??
I just bought one for $210 in the 45MM Stainless steel. Upgrading from the Series 4 and so far im enjoying it. Definitely going to be holding on to this thing for another 3 years.
I think the scratching issue is there with all the new products from Apple with that ceramic nonsense. They made it more shatter resistant but it has become easy to scratch.
Because the s7 and 8 are more catered for sports and whatnot so they made the screen shatter resistant(softer glass) compared to screens that are scratch resistant which have a harder glass but more brittle
Having to charge every 2 days is the problem. I decided to partner my 13 pro max with the GT 3 from Huawei and it definitely works well. 20 days of battery life is amazing.
My friend bought the Ultra and sold me his 7 GPS 45mm for very cheap (less than an SE) with the black leather wrist band and all in mint condition. Pretty convinced so far - it’s my first apple watch.
I have to say, I don’t like the aspect of having a case on my watch because it does look huge on my wrist, so I use it without case but the scratches are already showing off. This is the sad part. I do think when trade in or old watch, apple is o my gonna see the major scratches so I think the light ones should be fine.
There’s screen protectors for it and you really decided that you rather scratch and break your device plus not allow you to trade it in because of damages all because you don’t want to wear a case all because it looks huge on your wrist?😐 you need better decision making skills you didn’t think of the pros and cons huh your only giving apple more money but that’s fine with me
@@DionMedia he means the battery HEALTH. Settings > battery > Battery health... there's no way you get 48 hours usage if you've been using the watch for exercise/music/texts/calls for 1 year. I can only assume you don't use it much.
Use code "DION" for 20% off in the first week (10% afterwards)

Yes, you should keep the 7. sadly, the 8 absolutely not worth the upgrade if you have a 7.
True you should keep it .How much hours or days of battery are you getting when 1) AOD is on 2) When you don't use AOD 3 ) light use
Cheers

How long have you had it?

You missed the main point which is the caption of the video.
💀💀💀🤣
Compare 7 vs se2

If only you thought to use a screen protector for the watch who knows it mighty be made for that exact reason
Hey, really good review i personally bought it and after 3 days of use ive had 2 sizable scratches and i was really underwhelmed about that too, i bought a protector but it is really not beautiful but i am gonna need to stick with him
Series 7 or se2?
If you want 'always-on' display, 7 or 8 is for you. If you don't care about that, SE 2 is a perfect choice!
Please add link of watch band. Thanks.

Is there anyway is have the screen lit up all the time and not dim when ur not looking at it?
no
@@DionMedia thank u
Hi, do you recommend getting series 7 or series 8 SE? Thinking between the 2 for my first Apple Watch 💭
I have got a 7 3 days ago and I think it's a better deal if you get discount on 7
Comprei meu séries 7 45m em outubro é fantástico eu amo os produtos da maçã ❤
I'm sure getting a screen protector. But the curve makes it a bit of a problem. 7 is also cheaper and 8 is a very small upgrade.
Great video! I just got a series 7!!
Thanks Alejandro. Enjoy your 7!

I am confused coz I'm gonna buy the 8 cellular 45mm version.
will.it last a full day?

Love my s7 but having the AOD enabled has resulted in 96% battery health in 6months. I turned mines off. Saves batt life & maximum health
Literally all you have to do to turn it on is move your wrist a little it’s literally not worth it to have it always on

Love the honest reviews, Dion! Quite consumer oriented with the right amount of (digestible) tech info
Thanks Alfie for the compliment

So is this the exact same as the watch 8 given the new Os update?
Excellent review. Real world user experiences are by far the most useful!!
Thank you
Nice video do you have a link to the redish band in the video?
Thanks David, and that band is not for sale anymore. A pity, many people like it.
hey, i was just windering what band do you use in this video

Keep that freind and enjoy the 7!
I just got my series 8 midnight black ❤
Hi Abhishek, enjoy!
ive been using series 6 with new watch OS, still good
I have the 45mm Starlight and i have been disappointed with the paint issue. I have a case on it but am still struggling with the paint issue

Just got a apple watch and your video helps me a lot!!!!
The cellular stainless steel version has better quality crystal that is much harder to scratch , but it is much more expensive.
That’s why you wear a case
Great vid as usual mate, keep it up!
Thanks, will do my best:)
I just got that same exact series 7, 2 days ago, and i dont regret it, by the way i also habe the midnight iphone 13 lol
Great video as always 👏🏻👏🏻
Hi Sandeep, thank you for your support!
Samsung also didnt get sued for using someone's patent on a blood oxygen sensor. So they can still use them. On their new watches.
Can this be connected if the phone is android?
No
I love my series 7
I love my galaxy watch 5 pro.. 😊
Such a great review, Dion! I look forward to your immensely informative videos every time!!
The series 8 really isn’t a good buy. It added 1 feature that is only applicable to half of buyers.
series 8 good for a first time apple watch buyer?
Yes
This is why i want a apple watch series 7
I have the same LV wallet! Good taste 👍
:)
the series 8 was released last week. when did you make this video?
Creators often take the most time editing and posting the video.
Hi Ashton, made it this weekend. Upon receiving the 8 I will do a review of course. Soon :)
After 1 year, what is your battery health?
Hi Kent, only now looking at your (good) question. The 7 is at preset out of battery because out of use.
@@DionMedia he means the battery HEALTH. Settings > battery > Battery health... there's no way you get 48 hours usage if you've been using the watch for exercise/music/texts/calls for 1 year. I can only assume you don't use it much.
If a company cared they woukd use saffire glass.
Oh wait... Samsung does this on all their galaxy watches its almost impossible to scratch.
Hoping having an Apple watch someday🙂❤️
Will come, for sure :)
Yes! Just got to believe.😊
I'll give you mys series 5
what about the fake apple watch clones ?
Never do, in many cases not legal anyhow
❤️❤️❤️
👎👎
I don’t have a Apple Watch. But I think the washing timer thing is very cool ;)
Btw @tcmlux
