It was underrated because all the old school NSX fans wanted a new version of the same car, instead got complicated hybrid car that was honestly a few years ahead of it's time. Many current sports cars and supercars are now using a similar performance hybrid system, but not back when the NSX was released and people didn't consider it. Too bad, it's such a well liked car now that is is essentially cancelled.
@and79 Sure, but the 918 is a completely different class of car, starting at over 840k. No other car even double in price had similar tech to the NSX. I mean you should have mentioned the P1 & LaFerrari as well if we wanted to go that route.
@@gpaje not many other cars back then had the performance hybrid system, except super high end super and hypercars. that should make the nsx more desirable as it's a baby version of those
Supercars of London Awesome Review I think that Acura NSX is awesome as is that Gorgeous Brabus 1300 R and I think you should get an Acura NSX for the Channel
Folks who can’t afford a nsx aspire to have one, those who can has no “want” for it despite how fast it is, I think most would still go for turbo s (join the Porsche cult), 458 (badge snob, design and sound) and r8 (best sounding v10 that’s discontinued with good reliability).…apparently reliability and speed aren’t enough to persuade supercar owners
In North America, the NSX is too expensive. You can get a C8 Corvette Stingray for a 1/3 the price starting and a well equipped one for half the price. The Z06 is also cheaper, with a flat plane crank V8 and the E-Ray is the straight up equivalent at also a cheaper price and better tech. Bottom line: the C8 is what the NSX should have been. Start simple and grow i to multiple models and, like the current C8, Honda wouldn't be able to sell them fast enough!
As you can see from my profile pic I'm a current C8 owner and 2017 NSX owner. The C8 does NOT at all compare to the NSX; the C8 is slower, cheaper made, doesn't feel as refined as the NSX. I'm also on the list for the E-Ray just to try it out and it does not have newer tech...the NSX has torque vectoring which the Porsche 918 and Ferrari SF90 have....the E-Ray has an electric motor for the front axle. Very different than the NSX. The Z06 is cool for its flat plane crank V8 sound but man its a stiff ride and the useable torque is not available until way higher in the RPM range. The E-Ray kills it in a drag (see TH-cam videos). Used NSXs are now cheaper in price than any new Z06 or E-Ray...and a better car.
@@cameronwebb5607 The problem is the NSX was too expensive when it came out, alienating NSX fanboys like me and it didn't have a brand strong enough to capture the Ferrari or even Porsche crowd that have that kind of money. Also, Honda/Acura didn't offer multiple models at different price points to appeal to a broader set of customers, another mistake. It was no longer the aspirational car that it once was, which would be okay if it was the only game in town. The C8 and Lotus Emira changed that and offered much less complicated versions for far less price. I'm a Honda guy that drives a C8 Corvette Stingray because it's good enough and priced right, cheaper that even used NSX's up here in Canada. You've been heard, it may be the better car, but no one cares because Honda misread the market and the competition.
the NSX is a underrated supercar
Huummmm not a Supercar, more of a flop
How do you put a typo in the title of a video that’s about the price!😅

Yeah just causally forget the 918 Spyder that was released in 2013. NSX is a scaled down version of that exact hybrid power train.

This is underrated because the younger generation can't afford it and the older generation has moved on from low fast cars.

@SZ-ZS- NSX fans wanted a traditional sports car and those interested in the technology were badge snobs.
Saw one of these the other day, such a dope car
Nice carbon kit and rear wing and a bright colour that would look sweet
Love the NSX old and new
I’m thinking one of these might have to be my first Supercar. Great video man! 🙌🏻
Yup...just bought a low mileage 2017 and about to add downpipes from Science of Speed. Very very underrated car.

missed a 0 in the title there mate :-) love the Nsx tho
It's a steal at £100,00.🎉

There is a moth on the inside.
Paul. What happenned to the Ducati Lamborghini bike you had? That was a mental looking bike!
But why would you buy this over an R8
Exclusivity and lack of depreciation. It's faster too.
@@v4skunk739lack of depreciation? Nobody buys it
Or the LEXUS LC ?
I hold the Honda badge very high, consider how many F1 champions it has powered… ❤
wish it was £100.00
The moth was loving the interior 😅
Id get one, honda relaible too...
Any chance of driving it!!!
R8?..boring..nsx is better

If I had £100K… I would buy an R8!
Its such a weird and quirky Car ,, it matches the owner He's just as weird !!!!! One ARM tattooed
Would rather spend 100k on a R8
