Good Video!!.. I'm glad ya'll enjoyed your stay. I'm gonna make that trip. I'm a newbie and my first Camping trip is in two weeks to Millers Ferry, Camden, Alabama. It's another COE camp ground and it's also, a Beautiful place on the Alabama River. If you have not been there you should make that trip. I'm from L.A (Lower Alabama) on the L.A Gulf Coast. I have never heard of Deer Lick, so thanks for bringing in this COE Camp ground to my attention. That will be my second destination. Thanks for taking the time to make this Video. Alabama has so many Beautiful places to camp and visit. Safe Travels!!.. Thanks Again: Mike
Thanks for the info on this campground! We went and stayed at site 38 and had a great relaxing time! This is a FANTASTIC campground and we will be going back soon!
That's awesome camp ground really really like the site 35 do they all have the over look decks that's so cool deerlick creek/ holt lake is awesome and not to far from amenities as some lakes r such a great place sending up prayers 4 yall bless great healthy peaceful safe journeys travels and happy camping 🚐🏕🌌👍👍💪🙂👍👍
yes! #35 was so big. :) Many of the water side sites had big decks and some that didn't even have water views. Ours had a spacious lounging area as did all of them. I believe Holt was booked, it sounds familiar. Glad you liked it, now go do it. :) Be safe. Michael
Hello, I enjoy your videos and find them informative. I live in AL but had not heard of Deerlick Creek. We will be going there in late March. Question: I have been researching different models with the door location toward the rear similar to what you have. Have you experienced any issues getting your trailer to fit the site because the door is beyond the bump stop on the parking pad? My concern is that I would have to park the trailer a few feet in front of the bump stop so the steps could be in a good position on the pad. Have you had any issues in your travels caused by the rear door location?
Hey Rob. I know you'll enjoy that camp ground. :) On the door location.. NO, I've never had an issue with the steps out or the door position. When parking, I finally get straight in. Then I look at the back stabilizers to straddle the bump stop, in front or back. It is only a matter of 6". I've parked behind the bumps obviously. You will get very used to how you level your rig. Sometimes well in front of the back of the site, sometimes well in back. I've never been to a site yet that I couldn't level out. The worst? Watch this leveling juggle.. th-cam.com/video/fHVz-Qm5A6c/w-d-xo.html
@@garlandstyle5797 Thank you for answering my questions! I climbed Picacho Peak back in the 90’s while visiting family in AZ. It has a great view from the top. If you are ever in central TN again I think you would enjoy Rock Island SP. So far it’s been our best place to go. Take care and I hope you have safe travels.
