Don’t ever try to get policygenius to give you a homeowners insurance policy if you have a small woodworking business. Went through all the rigmarole and the kids with me without warning two months into our new policy.

The cubitron link goes to Soms children’s poetry books. I guess I could read the poems while sanding but that wasn’t quite what I had in mind when I clicked it.

The 3m paper is awesome and worth every penny. I have some on my sander and today when I went to do some sanding I pulled it back see what grit it was and the numbers were worn off but the paper was still good. I’ll be using a sharpie going forward. That paper not only last, it cuts extremely well cutting your sanding time down.

Thank you for this video, it's awesome! Those plungers are a staple in the screen printing industry because they're used to dispense screen washing fluid. There's also another product similar to Okeeffe's out there called Bag Balm that works incredibly well. It's most notably used to lubricate cows' udders because they crack, and get injured from being milked. I used to use it when I was training to become a brick mason because mud will suck all the moisture from your hands.

Bench made is even more amazing when yo factor in the customer service..top notch! Broke off the tip of the blade using it as a pry bar. Sent it in and 3 weeks later it was re-profiled for nearly nothing.

I am a wood turner and I recently switched to 3m Cubitron 3 inch sand paper, it is by far the best sand paper I have used. Sanding a bowl used to take 4-5 sheets of the generic brand I used and now it is 1 sheet of 3m. Now I just need the 3 in rotex sander.

Good morning. Thanks for your great content and the ISO Tunes order info. I've been in law enforcement for over 25 years, and woodworking is the one thing that has kept my sanity intact. I've been needing more usable ear protection for the shop. I saw that Peterson Pipe chart on the wall in one of your videos, and then a short time later in another video, you mentioned making pipes. That is an area I wanted to explore but have yet to. Thanks for your bourbon tips. I, too, am a conesour of single malt scotches and bourbons. Be well, and God Bless.

O'Keeffe's (which you have misspelled in the comments) is the best. I am surprised more TH-cam woodworkers don't talk about dry hands and what lotions they use to combat the dryness. Working with wood dries out my hands something fierce. Keep up the good work!

Love the channel. My new must have tool is the Bourbon Moth stop block. Just got it today and it's perfect. I put it on my 3" Rockler miter fence and it is far superior to Rockler's own stop block. Looks cooler too. I'll be getting another one for the right side fence. 👍

I still have the old-timey version of the Pica I used in Art School 40 years ago, made by Staedtler. While I love using that kind of pencil, their shortcoming in the shop is that they don't fit in the guide holes on measuring tools.

  • @Mike.DeNinno

Great ideas. The tape dispensers sound like a good idea but they leave a serrated edge which can be problematic for double sided tape. You didn't mention that the Pica Dry pencil leads come in a variety of colors. I bought it with a pack of white leads which I use exclusively on dark woods.

Great episode. But, I will caution people about using and storing Acetone. It should ONLY be stored in a sealed container. Acetone vapors are heavy and will spread along the floor. The slightest spark will ignite the vapor which burns with an almost invisible dull blue flame. You feel the extreme heat before you see the fire. So, I would be cautious about using Acetone in a plunger can. I know many welding shops use acetone that way but it is very dangerous.

So 3mm or 5mm stroke on the sander? Thinking 5 for the quicker sanding assuming the finish is still really good even though the 3 would likely leave a SLIGHTLY better finish due to the smaller stroke

Four Roses Single Barrel? That's my personal favorite bourbon, and it's only ~ $40 a bottle where I live (midwest). Always have at least one bottle of that on hand.
