Bee Movie is a 2007 American computer-animated comedy film produced by DreamWorks Animation and distributed by Paramount Pictures. Directed by Simon J. Smith and Steve Hickner from a screenplay by Jerry Seinfeld, Spike Feresten, Barry Marder and Andy Robin, it stars the voices of Seinfeld, Renée Zellweger, Matthew Broderick, John Goodman, Patrick Warburton, and Chris Rock. The film centers on Barry B. When I was a kid I was actually rooting for Barry & Vanessa, as an adult I now feel bad for Ken and realize he is the sane one and not Vanessa.

@@isaiahadams1208 I honestly feel bad for Ken like I could be very wrong so take this with a grain of salt it's been awhile since I've watched the movie but he seems like an okay dude at least little arrogant but you know that's not a crime. But you know when we're kids it never crosses our mind it's just we know who's the "villain" and who's the "hero"

The lady's boyfriend is not entirely unjustified. Barry could kill him easily and it's not his fault his girlfriend has a thing for a bee. Which is weird in it's own right

People take this movie too seriously IMO. The entire premise of the film and its jokes are MEANT to be ridiculous.
Yeah like if you're gonna talk it seriously all bees shown would be female and the mosquito too as males aren't bloodsuckers, it's fun let it be fun
@@animefan8591 also the fact that some of the roles in this movie are iconic people in real world. The Mosquito is freaking Chris Rock man. And Barry is freaking Jerry seinfeld. And Ken is freaking Patrick Warburton who voiced one of the most iconic cartoon characters ever, Joe from Family guy

I LOVED this movie when I was little, and I still actually do. It's so hilarious because it's just so meme-able and stuff.
It's also just so funny that it can never get old, at least, in my opinion.
That's exactly how I feel, I've always enjoyed this movie when I was little and to think that this a low rated is kinda sad
I found out that when bees want to apologize for stinging someone they'll 'dance' around the injection site to gently remove the stinger so they won't die. It doesn't remove the venom, but it also doesn't kill the bee.
Damn this makes me feel even more bad for the bee that stung me while I was swimming in a pool. I didn't feel it at all when it happened but I sure hope that the bee didn't either 😖
I remember I read somewhere the reason bees die is because Human skin is too elastic so they can't take out the sting like they should, is not a thing they kamikaze. I dunno how accurate that is tho, if anyone can tell me.
@@finikksu I think it's a mix of the elasticity of the skin, the stinger is barbed, and is attached to the bee's abdomen.

Fun Fact: The pool scene between Barry and his parents is a homage to a similar scene in the 1967 film, The Graduate starring Dustin Hoffman which I definitely recommend watching.

17:09 Bees do not have lungs, therefore them coughing in here is not scientifically accurate. For another, all the smoke actually does is mask their sense of smell and trick them into thinking there's a fire, during which they eat their own honey to relax.
Another big thing here is that no self respecting beekeeper would ever use something like tar or nicotine in their smokers. It irritates bees something horrible. Best smoker fuel is all natural stuff like pine needles, dried citrus peel, and any dried herbs you can get your hands on.
They'd also never flood them with smoke like that either. If you're doing your job right, all you need is a few puffs, one when opening the box to let them know you're there, then a few more to do what you need to do.
If Barry was smart, he'd have sued the one farm for gross negligence.
Fire coming, eat comfort food instead of escaping.

Well technically they don’t have typical lungs we all know and yet they use oxygen, and you obviously know this is a matter of anthropomorphic standards
The only thing that prevents this movie from being perfect is the expositional dialogue- where they say something to someone that both already know, so the audience can hear it. The snippet about orientation day in order to imply they have to pick jobs eventually, them talking about what pollen jocks get to do, and the 'we're all cousins' have this problem. It would have been ten times funnier if every time Adam liked a girl, Barry would warn that she's his cousin. Really laying it on thick so Barry seems to be related to everyone. And then near the end, as part of an emotional payoff Barry says to Adam, "We're both cousins after all."
This movie seems to symbolize everything that was wrong with Dreamworks CGI comedies:
Unlike Pixar, they so believed humor revolved around grownup sitcom-style gags, that kids basically stared blankly at the studio when it announced to the world “We got JERRY SEINFELD to do our next movie!! 😊”
(Not that there’s anything wrong with that…)

Finally, it was revealed he didn't want to see "B-movie trailers", he wanted to see his OWN Bee Movie trailer (the one he appeared live-action in) before it hit theaters.

As much as how silly and ridiculous this movie is, i can't help but like this movie. And the memes are just freaking funny too 😂
i also like how it shows in how important bees are to our planet. without bees, flowers and the rest of nature can slowly die.
Seinfeld's approach really feels like I'm actually watching a full-length sitcom. Some moments of course go too far, even by the standards of Dreamworks, but for the middle of the 2000s it looks unusual.

What bugs me the most about this movie is the fact that if only bees stopped pollinating, it wouldn't kill of every flower around the world. There are so many other species of insects that do the same job! Sure, perhaps some are exclusively taken care of by bees, but definitely not all of them.
"Bee Movie", but every time Timothee laughs, raises his eyebrows or says "Yooooo!", it speeds up by fifty seconds.
(Lol, never understood the "Bee Movie"TH-cam craze myself.

In real life, honey is flower nectar that the bees ingest outside and then regurgitate back at the hive. Honey is bee puke. This movie went through great lengths to convince us honey is merely produced in tiny bee factories 😆

I enjoyed Bee Movie a lot as a kid but looking back on it as an adult I now see that it’s weird, especially the relationship between Barry and Vanessa. I don’t know why I even thought that was cute as a child. But however I still praise the humor in this movie.

Bees are important, but not vital. There are thousands of things that can do what bees do (minus the honey) and even then, hundreds of species of bees are perfectly safe. The few that are endangered are actually pretty bad and a few are more of a danger to other bees

This is just my speculation but that Winnie the Pooh cameo where Pooh gets shot with a tranquilizer, I think it’s a diss towards Disney. Cause if you think about it, Jeffery Katzenberg (the CEO of Dreamworks) used to work for Disney, plus after he created Dreamworks, them and Disney have been at war with each other in the late 90s and 2000s.

Great reaction! This movie is definitely pun royalty in its own right. Idk if anyone has mentioned this fan theory, but it seems that Vanessa is Mrs. Benson from iCarly and the reason she’s so protective of Freddie is because his dad was Barry the bee and got smushed eventually.

I like this movie is very funny go bee movie
i just love this movie so much, you honestly can't think about 'logic' (lol, what's that) and it's a wild ride and something i've seen maybe 100x and laugh every time. I think about the news anchors, how they all have bee names, and then there's Jeanette Chung xD and the note of "that's a man in woman's clothing! that's a drag queen.' and 'slaves for the white man' as the guy scoots over just has me rolling
The biggest threat to flower, pollination and bees in general, are domestic bees. Because they are protected in their hives and protected from parasitic infestation and things like that, while wild bees, who are responsible for most of the pollination, get driven out of areas by the domesticated bees, which do not pollinate as much.
I like this movie. I find it funny, emotional and very loving

This movie could be perfect if it just focused on Barry's internal turmoils of choosing a single career for the rest of his life, trying to find more meaning to his life of a simple bee, which would be immensively relatable for teens and young adults.

The only insect based movie that might top this one in terms of insanity is Antz. But that has Woody Allen and Sylvester Stallone in the same movie so that's almost not fair
This movie makes no sense😂. I do like how it informed people on the importance of bees though
Bee facts:
Most bees and all the workers are females that can't reproduce (that's the queen's job.) The males are called drones and they don't have stingers and are unable to feed themselves, because they don't have to work and can just laze around until it's time to leave the hive to meet females from other hives so they can reproduce. These fewer young females that can reproduce then make their own hives and become new queens (if they survive that far,) while the males die soon after mating.
Ants also work like this, except that only the ants that can reproduce have wings to reach each other and lose them afterwards.
The worker bees also actually do change their jobs during their life. Younger workers take care of the queen and young larvae and produce wax to build the structures inside the nest. They start to do outside tasks usually after a few weeks and after that start to collect nectar and pollen further away from the hive.
And this movie is obviously a joke, but some people think beekeepers steal from bees. They have more a mutually beneficial relationship.

Hope no one took this movie too seriously, otherwise it might be a surprise to them that in fact the male bees don't do anything like collect the pollen or nectar, or build or mend the hive for that matter. It's the female bees that are the workers and who do everthing in the hive. The male bees only exist to be drones to the queen.
Or that only the queen bred, so they're all severely inbred half siblings at best. 😅
I think of this movie as a stupid, fun kids movie, with humor that goes over kids heads... It's also a very memorable movie In terms of the memes it created

If there’s one thing i can never get over in this movie is something that literally only has a single scene in this movie, never brought up again and is completly unneccesary to the bees because they can fly. The fact that before the tour of the honey factory Barry was driving a freaking car in the beehive. That’s so pointless that if it was cut out, no one would have noticed any difference

I saw this for the first time at a drive in because the original movie we were there for wasn’t working. No idea what that’s one called but this? This is a cinematic masterpiece.

Ah Yes the Bee movie, the movie started so many memes including the movie itself technically being a animated meme. While this film might not be my most favorites in terms of animated movies, it's still a alright , enjoyable, pretty funny movie.
RIP to both Ray Liotta and Larry King. I hate why we lose great celebrities these days. It's very sad and heartbroken

He actually did not hit it that hard tennis balls are very light meaning they have no real core (like baseballs) they are empty so it is very easy to over shoot it that is why in tennis tournaments their is a large metal wall/fence I should know because I kept over shooting it at school and I'm not athletic like him.
The reason why farmed bees stay in the beehives that humans build for them is because the farm hives are safer and sturdier.
The bees are free to move away and build a new nest somewhere else any time they want, they simply choose not to.
This movie is nothing more than trying to copy the Chicken Run formula.
I love ❤️ this movie 🎥, I use to watch it with my grandmother when she was still around, now that she passed away, and every time I watch this movie 🎥, I always think of her because this movie 🎥 reminds me of when me and my grandma use to watch this movie 🎥 together.
People may think 🤔 that this movie 🎥 is ridiculous or bad, I don’t care what people or critics say about this movie 🎥, I think 🤔 it’s really good and really funny 😁.
I watched the movie first than i was 6 and it was one of my favourite movie because i loved the minimal things in this movie
