The bike doesn't make much of a Difference on deliveroo, I did it on a hybrid for about a year but downgraded to a £1000 mountain bike 29er, with slicks and I still do 3/4 orders an hour. I earn about £1000 to £1400 a fortnight. But I guess if you just started and you didn't have my fitness or his e bike. The result would be different. In two months mate and basically when I get my VAT back and Graduate with a first class degree with honours in computer science. I am selling everything in my flat, packing both my mountain bikes in a campervan and travelling the UK and EU and using deliveroo as a job to support me financially. For fun I am going to enter events and races with my bike and develop some apps and see if I can go free lance with it. Document on TH-cam my experience of every deliveroo city I work in, every event I enter and every trail I visit.
Hi mate , i have a question ...how many drops can you do if you work full time , like 8-10 hours/day of working ? I will start working in bath with a scooter next week. I know that depends on the zone ...but approximate in a weekend day....?
Did you already apply, use the code for the bonus? If it's busy and you are luck I think you can aim for between 3-4. If you get some good double orders then 4-5 may be possible. Motorbikes seem to get more orders than cyclists but there will be slower periods during the day mon-thurs. Friday and more so saturday, sunday are always busy.
Martin Claudiu with this ebike ^ thats with stopping at trafic lights and rideing within the law average speed is around 15mph ish most people without electric average 11-12 the big advantage is the hills reading has alot of hills and we do alot of drops to the uni thats at one of the higher points in our zone
I saw a few months ago a guy on a unicycle going full speed down a hill. Not sure what happened at bottom but what amazing/suicidal talent. Must of flattened out at bottom. The road, not him. Not for Deliveroo I hasten to add.
Jose Fernandes your best bet is to find out what cells the pack uses then look up the data sheet for the charge specks if you can do faster chargeing then upgrade the bms and charger to somthing a bit faster your other option is to look out for a better battery pack i am not currenly selling or making packs for others but its somthing i am thinking about doing
Zack - have you done this for the amount of work you are putting on it, with your job etc ? What sort of difference did the rewind make ? Did you use different wire ? more wire and more winds ? I'm interested as I have a 3k cyclone motor and am interested in improving it. Part of the housing looks different on yours. Is that a mounting mod ?
Dig your bike Zack, also your 10p diy mudguards ; ). Did you build your own battery pack too ? I'm thinking of a building a 52v 14p7s Samsung 30Q pack, as I can get 100 of these cells in the uk for about £250. As to the construction method, I'm not sure whether to glue the cells together, or get some spacer blocks. Still need to make a spot welder too. Can you recommend a decent supplier for things like nickel strips, BMS's, connectors etc ?
Can you please show us the EPAC Plate and the sensor on the back wheel that actually limits the speed because I see none? (Commenting as a rider of a home made EPAC)
I've literally never seen a 3rd party motor with full TPAC plate/stamp, it needs the Max Speed, Voltage and wattage on it which is why I had to get one made to make mine road legal...
you do know that none of the plates or stamps mean anything just because that motor was stamped in factory and you had a plate made it does not make them not capable of running higher power ( at work the motor was run on the same settings as the manufacturers intended when i did some crazy offroad testing i was running close to 100v and pushing the motor to nearly 15000rpm you coulld never do that for long without killing it but for drag runs it does not get hot for long )
Her in Bergen (Norway) , a man on a electric bike was measured at 105 km per hour (65 miles) in a tunnel . He had bought a conversion kit from the Netherlands . In court he was sentenced to loose the driver's license (for car) , for 6 months . In addition he received 1500 dollars in fines .
I have not done it before , (posted links) but vil try . Or wait til my son is comes home , he can . I'll be back , i promise . Until then , have a nice day Zack :-)
I bought a scooter for 800 and did my cbt for 110. £7 to fill tank will see me for 3 days. Get 3- 4 deliveries per hour. Surely it would make more sence to use a scooter!!
Hi, love the bike it's done you proud. I've ridden to work for 7 years on my high end bike and I did exactly the same thing with the tape. I used cello tape and it looks manky in no time. People take the piss but they don't understand. Usually all the gear types riding in hot weather.
Emmett Byrne 25-30kg but its not built to be light as i am useing wide rims heavy duty tubes along with slime the padding and wood in the battery box is a couple kg
zack clark That's good for all the kit on it. I use the city bikes here and they weigh around the same and they are easy enough the manovuer around the streets. I guess it's good to have something sturdy if you can hit 55mph.
Emmett Byrne over the last 3,000 miles my average speed is 15.8mph up hills i normaly stay at 15.5mph or less to let the motor do alot of work and on the way down i pedal 20mph for the most part as there are somany 20mph zones with loads of cars there is a few hills you can roll down at over 40mph !!!
@@betterbikes3043 if you know where to source the right components you can build a better bike than his for 300 on the es forums people have built many bikes for 500 that out perform bikes like the stealth bomber. the motor in the video seems like a washing machine motor with £20 controller and a bunch of overpriced lipos. i am going to start a post on the es forums on my build soon.
not sure what your problem is but if you think you can make £300 bikes better than stealth I suggest you do it as you will get very wealthy as that's under the cost of a stock bike
nate31909 Man are u based in London? I just want want to convert my bike into electric but have no Idea how to set up. I'm about to buy the kit but don't really think I'll be able to set it up. lol Do u know any place?
if your not looking for legal there are some good 1500w rear hub kits on ebay for less than 160 fairly easy to fit all you need other than that is tourqe arms and a battery
feel free to ask me anything i will do my best to give the best info i can there is alot of misinformation out there i have 10 years experence and a boat load of ebike miles along with experience with bikes in general i am more than happy to talk longer about ebikes and help with any questions both in the comments and maybe another vid if you guys want
lol just realised i cut out the firsr part of my comment :/ i can do convertions but my plan is to start making up whole bikes and selling them on the curent problem i have is free time but it will happen in the near future
I have a bafang 1000 bbshd on delivery that go to 1750w power with 2 battery’s 17ah and it goes to 30-35miles per hour. Is imposible to get 55 miles an hour...and I don’t think he can do that many miles maybe just in very low pas mode maybe 150w power that is step 1 if you use more power the battery get very drained. I think he get fired because is illegal to ride in U.K with a bike like that. I never answer to people that try to record me but I always answer to people that wants an ebike and I told them that I build them with conversion kits. Cheers
i would be willing to bet you could get 55mph if you swaped the controler over and went for 72v or 84v i am not saying it would last long but it would do it
I own a giant e+1 and will be building my own battery pack when this one dies. £850 replacement for only 500w battery pack, compared to your Frankenstein battery. There is no way my current ebike coukd do half your shift :(
Sorry mate, it's illegal to ride that bike on public roads. Max speed is 15mph on any electric bike etc and your seriously saying its restricted I doubt it very much
I've got a custom built bike with a 24mah 48v panasonic battery, 1000w mid drive electric motor (with 1600w peak overdrive), merida aluminium frame, 9 speed shimano acera gears, acera rapidfire shifters, tektro hdc 300 hydraulic discs at front and rear, suntour xcm-hlo 100mm adjustable fork, kmc x9 chain, shimano hg-20 9 speed casette, reid alloy handlebars, reid mtb saddle, wellgo alloy body pedals, reid alloy 27.2mm seatposts. All for $2600 aud, or about 1500 british pounds. Will do 65kmh on flat with throttle only40mph) or 80kmh with pedalling (50mph) And has a range of over 125 kilometers, or around 80 miles. The bike also weights just 20 kilograms, and has a full colour waterproof dash interface. it's obviously not legal here in Melbourne, but not that i care. I can restrict the output and top speed to 25kmh with a press of a button if needed. That pos costing an alleged 2000 pounds though? yeah, no. no it fucking didn't.
1720wh vs your 1100wh full Bluetooth controller and Bluetooth bms cycle analyst v3 and fast charging make up a good part of the cost ( the bike was meant to be a sleeper and clearly you under estimate it so it did its job )
a bluetooth controller and halls cost no more than $200. And what amp is your charger? if it's any more than 6-7 (and you claim to charge it in 30 mins) then i assume you also replace your battery every 2-3 weeks, correct? I happen to have an rc charger rated between 3 to 7 amps. cost me $250, and that was considered expensive. charges up in a bit over an hour and a half. Anything more than 7 amps only fucks a battery. that's for 24ah. What battery do you use, link it? 80 miles for a 1720w....so 40+ mah? And you charge a battery that big in 30 minutes with what charger? Seems complete bs to me. But please, and i mean it, link me the charger and battery you use. I'm inclined. and really, i'm no professional, but i did do a ton of research as i do do ubereats also, to maximize performance and mileage, and i couldn't figure out a better setup. If you mean to tell me you have a battery that charges in 30 mins, DOES last 1600 cycles with the kind of amps you charge it with, AND does 80 miles out of a 1700w motor....then apparently i'm the one doing something wrong here.
its not uncommon for high grade lipo to have a 5c or even 10c maximum charge rate when it has a 120c mix discharge i have 2x 4010 duo chargers each hooked up to a isolated 110A 36v psu so i can charge 20s packs at 70A with 2A balance i have been abusing the pack for nearly a year it still holds 10.5ah out of the 12ah it started with the only issue is the internal resistance is now double what it was new ( no real issue other than for fast charge and high amp discharge ) custom battery using 40x 12ah 120c / 10c lipo was close to £900 chargers £600 Bluetooth bms £150 powervelocity Bluetooth controller £299 cycle analyst v3 £120 GPS tracker £60+ £5 a month on bored dc-dc converters £120 its way to easy to spend loads of money on bike stuff
thats not safe. if the freewheel fails and locks up it will spin the pedal crank arms into the riders leg. having that spinning by your leg is dangerous
IF YOU WATCH THE VIDEO ITS RESTRICTED IF YOU THINK OTHERWISE REPORT ME !!! do you really think i would get away with riding at 55mph in reading town center for nearly a year and do 25k miles ?
10 hour day, 7 days a week for £2000 equals £7.14 per hour. That's not even minimum wage. At a 38 hour week that would only earn you just over £1000 a month. And you have to buy your own bike for 2k? Mental
I can't be bothered to watch the whole clip but judging by the title and thumbnail I am surprised no one amongst the generally admiring comments has highlighted that as an ebike it would be totally illegal and would not bring good headlines to Deliveroo as a company. If as powerful as suggested it would have to be registered and go through a rigorous safety check before being allowed on the road. Standard ebikes are restricted to just 15 miles an hour.
@@barrywebber100 Almost EVERY car you can buy is capable of exceeding legal speed limits. In fact a car's (or motorbike) top speed has NO bearing on its road worthiness. So why should it be any different for an ebike? Unless you're arguing (by implication) that cars and motorbikes should be speed restricted to not exceed legal limits, your comparison actually works against you. It's a dumb rule that only adds confusion, inconsistency and unnecessary complexity to ebike regulation. Picture an ebike that's "assist restricted" travelling down a steep hill below the legal speed limit but above its assist restriction. You are clearly one of the sheep, confined by complacency. I did think the same as you as soon as I saw the video but the law is just a mess in regard to the restrictions and make little sense. Which is why its changing all the time so keep that self-righteousness to yourself, no has time for such petty people.
In Reading? Surprising haha I was expecting Scotland or Liverpool. Btw I’m half Scottish half scouse and I live near reading I’m entitled to say this 😂
Can you please get zack to contact me or do you have a email address ect for him ? I'm from Reading too and have 4 electric bikes myself, I've got a bike with Bosch motor that I'm experimenting with, he seems like that man to talk to after seeing what he done with his bike.
Electric is generally slow. Mine started at 6.5hp stock, but I built it to 16HP. I'm guessin' about 60m.p.h. with a 66tooth sprocket, and conceivably over 100m.p.h. with a 32tooth, depending onwind resistance. th-cam.com/video/aOVI-JEk1kg/w-d-xo.html
lmao if you had a 16hp electric vs 16hp petrol i think the electric would win as they have far more low end power by next winter i shoud have my full custom e-motobike 11.5kw on the road
55mph NO WAY. My 72v x 100A = 7,200w hub, sabvoton, 8s20p Samsung 18650, does 53mph (no courage way scary) and that's pushing the limits of all components on the bike. Idk man
That speed seems very bad for the power. Considering if you buy a very cheap hub motor 1000w it can do 40mph downhill. 6 times more power and only 13 mph extra
I have a 1,000 pound scooter with all coverings to protect me from the cold and rain. I ride 20 miles to and from work everyday with the occasional trip to market and maybe the park if i'm up to it on the weekend. I spend at the very most 500 pounds a year for petrol, 250 for insurance and about 40 pounds for misc upkeep. To this day, I have had nothing break down on it or flats. I can sell it at anytime for 1k and get all my money back, I never have to change a battery, I am protected from the elements and I can ride comfortably anywhere I go. I think you'd have to be insane to go the route of an ebike.
He's working, not commuting, and ebikes can go places where you can't take a motorbike. Maybe not entirely legally, but safely, quietly and without upsetting anyone. Couriers waste a surprising amount of time walking at each end of a job, and cycle couriers can make more money than motorbike couriers.
£1,000 battery on his bike and he's complaining about the price of mudguards... uwotm8
Exactly. He can't even afford a few pairs of cycling shorts too...? Also, he's wearing headphones on that thing too. I'm lost for words.
Hes obviously talking shit about the battery. Theres no way a battery that size costs £1000, as for mud guards they get broken and it becomes a constant cycle replacing them and they arent cheap where as the tape costs next to nothing.

It sounds pretty reliable, it can hit 55 mph and has done 80,000 miles.
Also he earns over £2,000 a month on it!
i want to convert my bike good kits are about 600
there is nearly 0 standard parts in that motor it is fully custom rewound full ceramic bearings and other custom parts
as far as i know less than 5 people have ever rewound one of these motors and nobody else has added 33% more copper fill
This guy has loads of valuable knowledge and experience. Hope I find more content from him over course of your content 👍

zack clark can u make a video explaining the new bike?
Middrive is an expensive way to go in terms on chains, hub bearings and sprockets, carry a chain tool and links everywhere!
Ronan Carter i have next to no issues as i keep up with matanance i only carry a tube puncture kit and pump when working
Wow how clever is that? He is earning some good money. Good on you!!
Do we allowed to ride that much powerful cycle in england as I heard no more than 12v battery?
Fuck rules!

Because that sound like a chainsaw if there is no freewheel.

I get the spray issue but have not seen Zak around for ages
Document on TH-cam my experience of every deliveroo city I work in, every event I enter and every trail I visit.
sounds good
@@zackclark4188 late to the party but can you give me your battery specs Zack? And the type you are running?
Is that reading?
What are the powertrain components and is it 55mph on the windless flat or does it only go that fast with favourable conditions?
CheadleBiker windless flat in both directions ( tested on an old runway )
zack clark Cool! What type of motor and controller are you using?
Cool bike! I like. A lot of work done to that.
Yes i already apply without any code , i'm afraid ......tomorrow i will have my first sesion to picking up the kit .
last week i did 166 drops with 6 days of 7h
zack clark with an scooter ?
Martin Claudiu with this ebike ^ thats with stopping at trafic lights and rideing within the law average speed is around 15mph ish most people without electric average 11-12 the big advantage is the hills reading has alot of hills and we do alot of drops to the uni thats at one of the higher points in our zone
I saw a few months ago a guy on a unicycle going full speed down a hill. Not sure what happened at bottom but what amazing/suicidal talent. Must of flattened out at bottom. The road, not him. Not for Deliveroo I hasten to add.
This looks like it was recorded in Reading UK
Yep
3:35 paying close attention from this time frame...did he say he got a charger that charges his battery in 30 minutes?
I believe so, yes.
Deliveroo Rider yes i can charge to about 90% in 30 mins i have a 90A charger and the battery is 48ah
zack clark for 7.8ah and 8.7ah Batterries which charger would you recommend to charge them in 30 minutes? I only charge my ebike in 4 or 5 hours :(
Jose Fernandes your best bet is to find out what cells the pack uses then look up the data sheet for the charge specks if you can do faster chargeing then upgrade the bms and charger to somthing a bit faster your other option is to look out for a better battery pack i am not currenly selling or making packs for others but its somthing i am thinking about doing
5:55 that’s not a good idea, he’s loosing a lot of power stepping the voltage down and and if you don’t have enough protection your phone is toast.
'Resourceful' is the word you were looking for.
Hi Zak, what motor is that ? It looks like a modified Cyclone ?
Is the primary chain GoKart chain ?
its a headline motor same as what cyclone use but modded to the max i use bmx chain for 1st stage
What sort of mods have been done to the motor ?
Do you know where I can find info for modding these motors ?
Here Now rewinding balanced and ceramic bearings plus cooling mods not many people haveceven taken one apart
Here Now 3k motors cant be moded that much i am trying one of those at the min due to less noise and lower kv
Can you recommend a decent supplier for things like nickel strips, BMS's, connectors etc ?
sonic biker i make all my own packs from both poutch cells and 18650s
Duncan Bananatyne 36v 60ah on this bike
Duncan Bananatyne you can go higher voltage but not much point due to the legal limet ah all depends on how much you wprk and how far away you live
Can you please show us the EPAC Plate and the sensor on the back wheel that actually limits the speed because I see none?
(Commenting as a rider of a home made EPAC)
lol stamp is on the motor as its mid drive
I've literally never seen a 3rd party motor with full TPAC plate/stamp, it needs the Max Speed, Voltage and wattage on it which is why I had to get one made to make mine road legal...
you do know that none of the plates or stamps mean anything just because that motor was stamped in factory and you had a plate made it does not make them not capable of running higher power ( at work the motor was run on the same settings as the manufacturers intended when i did some crazy offroad testing i was running close to 100v and pushing the motor to nearly 15000rpm you coulld never do that for long without killing it but for drag runs it does not get hot for long )
Yeah i need something to limit my bike
Can the bike stop at red lights or is that an optional extra?
always
Is it road leagal do you need a M O T insurance and tax ?
if restricted no licence or tax
Her in Bergen (Norway) , a man on a electric bike was measured at 105 km per hour (65 miles) in a tunnel . He had bought a conversion kit from the Netherlands . In court he was sentenced to loose the driver's license (for car) , for 6 months . In addition he received 1500 dollars in fines .
nice i had not seen anyone that had been prosecuted u got a link ?
I have not done it before , (posted links) but vil try . Or wait til my son is comes home , he can . I'll be back , i promise . Until then , have a nice day Zack :-)
Are you on facebook Zack
this video is pretty much my only web presence nowdays
zack clark you can’t be prosecuted for something unless you volunteer to do so...
I bought a scooter for 800 and did my cbt for 110. £7 to fill tank will see me for 3 days. Get 3- 4 deliveries per hour. Surely it would make more sence to use a scooter!!
Possibly, but long term (tax, mot, insurance, fuel) I think electric will be cheaper. Also that thing has a faster acceleration than a 50cc bike.
lots of 4s and a few 5s and it costs £0.15-£0.20 a day to charge
Deliveroo Rider i am hopeing the bring a speed pedalec law into the uk as some places have higher power/ higher speed bikes than we are aloud here
Yeah and insurance is another £800 a year
Hashterix for a 50cc? Here in Germany it costs roughly 50 euro/year.
I would really loved to drag race him with my 72v 5kw hub motor ebike on a 2mile racetrack.
sounds fun will bring out my fun bike
currently at 7kw but i have plans to take it much higher :)
Deliveroo makes you spend £100+ on thier advertisement of a cooler bag before you are even offered your first delivery, if there are any...
not 100 but still sucks
johnDon u have to pay for the bag?????.
I started a few days ago and got it for free, jacket and both bags.
that sucks i only went for the bags and was 55 i think
Hi, love the bike it's done you proud. I've ridden to work for 7 years on my high end bike and I did exactly the same thing with the tape. I used cello tape and it looks manky in no time. People take the piss but they don't understand. Usually all the gear types riding in hot weather.
got to love the spandex / Lycra guys they might be faster than me on the flat but its the hills that make the bike great
Is that in reding
Gotta love reading...
Was that 2000 deliveries or £2000 a month? Would love to see a clip of the bike in action.
Emmett Byrne its £2000+ in 4 weeks
zack clark Cheers Zack, love the idea of the bike. Great for long commutes. Any idea how much it weighs?
Asthetically the bike isnt good looking at all, but practically (where it really matters) bravo, man. Bravo 👌🏽
That £20 motor and £25 controller and £200😂 i built a 5kw conversion ebike for £300
please do it lmao
@@betterbikes3043 check on the endless shpere forums people have run 7.5kw on a £15 controller my bike runs at 3kw continious and 5kw peak

Where can I get a quick charger Zack?

I use my electric bike for Ubereats and it’s a conyote connect
Are you still on uber eats?
Yes I’m still on Ubereats I do it every or five days an week

nate31909 Man are u based in London? I just want want to convert my bike into electric but have no Idea how to set up. I'm about to buy the kit but don't really think I'll be able to set it up. lol
Do u know any place?
if your not looking for legal there are some good 1500w rear hub kits on ebay for less than 160 fairly easy to fit all you need other than that is tourqe arms and a battery
yeah thats tha one I am planning to buy ... do you know anyone in London who could set up the kit for me? It looks easy but Im not sure if can do it.
Smart build
Does sum where build these bikes for u?if so where?
Zack builds them
I do believe that's some good ol 200 miles per hr. Duck tape it will last longer then the bike.
20 miles a shift...........all pedal power.
500pound a week is decent enough
Does he do conversions on this level for people who want their bike done?
I didn't ask but he'll probably read this at some point.
feel free to ask me anything i will do my best to give the best info i can there is alot of misinformation out there i have 10 years experence and a boat load of ebike miles along with experience with bikes in general i am more than happy to talk longer about ebikes and help with any questions both in the comments and maybe another vid if you guys want
lol just realised i cut out the firsr part of my comment :/ i can do convertions but my plan is to start making up whole bikes and selling them on the curent problem i have is free time but it will happen in the near future
Yeah, for sure! We can do another video where you just answer questions and you can talk about your plan to build them .
zack clark is that the cyclone 1685w mid drive kit?
Now i want this boink
There is no way my current ebike coukd do half your shift :(
you could replace the cells with samsung 35e or sayno 18650ga maybe even vtc 6 if you want higher amps
What motor is on this bike?
Daniel Tait was a modded cyclone
see this guy about in reading, legend, his bike is pretty sick too, goes up hills like its nothing

£2000 in 7 days? That works out at just under 18hrs of working a day on 4 drops an hour no?
was getting about 3000-3500 every 4 weeks in the winter

that bike is bad arse
thanks you would like the new one more :)
Sorry mate, it's illegal to ride that bike on public roads. Max speed is 15mph on any electric bike etc and your seriously saying its restricted I doubt it very much
Rabbit Saddle 15.5+10% while in eu
Got an electric skateboard that I made that will do about 6 mile n 30mph can be geared to do a lot more but that cost me £1900 expensive stuff

What kind of motor is on it?
random motor found in the streets
What motor is that? And voltage

would have been more on ebike but they screwing riders on bikes nowdays
1720wh vs your 1100wh
full Bluetooth controller and Bluetooth bms cycle analyst v3 and fast charging make up a good part of the cost
( the bike was meant to be a sleeper and clearly you under estimate it so it did its job )
a bluetooth controller and halls cost no more than $200.
If you mean to tell me you have a battery that charges in 30 mins, DOES last 1600 cycles with the kind of amps you charge it with, AND does 80 miles out of a 1700w motor....then apparently i'm the one doing something wrong here.
its not uncommon for high grade lipo to have a 5c or even 10c maximum charge rate when it has a 120c mix discharge i have 2x 4010 duo chargers each hooked up to a isolated 110A 36v psu so i can charge 20s packs at 70A with 2A balance i have been abusing the pack for nearly a year it still holds 10.5ah out of the 12ah it started with the only issue is the internal resistance is now double what it was new ( no real issue other than for fast charge and high amp discharge )
custom battery using 40x 12ah 120c / 10c lipo was close to £900
chargers £600
Bluetooth bms £150
powervelocity Bluetooth controller £299
cycle analyst v3 £120
GPS tracker £60+ £5 a month
on bored dc-dc converters £120
its way to easy to spend loads of money on bike stuff
that bike has been dissembled and i have a new bike now
40x 12ah cells? that explains.
This guy has it sussed
as soon as bike hit over £1500 am looking at bike any more am looking at motorcycle
I have an e bike, can hit 55 kmh and goes 100 k on one charge would kick this things ass only problem is that I have a sealed lead acid battery😤😕
lol
thats not safe. if the freewheel fails and locks up it will spin the pedal crank arms into the riders leg. having that spinning by your leg is dangerous
same for rear gears on any bike
IF YOU WATCH THE VIDEO ITS RESTRICTED IF YOU THINK OTHERWISE REPORT ME !!!
do you really think i would get away with riding at 55mph in reading town center for nearly a year and do 25k miles ?
@Drew What a tool
10 hour day, 7 days a week for £2000 equals £7.14 per hour. That's not even minimum wage. At a 38 hour week that would only earn you just over £1000 a month. And you have to buy your own bike for 2k? Mental
in the winter its great you can smash £3000+ a month but this time of year its much harder as you just about hit £12/h
He actually wants to ride a real bike
I can't be bothered to watch the whole clip but judging by the title and thumbnail I am surprised no one amongst the generally admiring comments has highlighted that as an ebike it would be totally illegal and would not bring good headlines to Deliveroo as a company.
If as powerful as suggested it would have to be registered and go through a rigorous safety check before being allowed on the road.
Standard ebikes are restricted to just 15 miles an hour.
If you cannot be bothered to watch the entire video, then do not comment.
@@UltimateProbot You look after your own post thanks.

Electric is generally slow. Mine started at 6.5hp stock, but I built it to 16HP. I'm guessin' about 60m.p.h. with a 66tooth sprocket, and conceivably over 100m.p.h. with a 32tooth, depending onwind resistance.
th-cam.com/video/aOVI-JEk1kg/w-d-xo.html
lmao if you had a 16hp electric vs 16hp petrol i think the electric would win as they have far more low end power
by next winter i shoud have my full custom e-motobike 11.5kw on the road
Not likely, even if a 16 hp electric bike motor existed, it and the amount of batteries to power it would be way too heavy to even put on a bike.
That might explain the laughter though, yer in happy la-la make believe land.
lol there is ebikes that can out do tesla p85 in the 1/4 mile
Bless the kid
Is this legal in the uk?
if you stay under the speed and power limits on the road
@@zackclark4188 But how do you do that Zack? Can I buy something to limit it
55mph NO WAY. My 72v x 100A = 7,200w hub, sabvoton, 8s20p Samsung 18650, does 53mph (no courage way scary) and that's pushing the limits of all components on the bike. Idk man
i never said it can do it all day long i did it on a old runway so not even a massive distance
That speed seems very bad for the power.
Considering if you buy a very cheap hub motor 1000w it can do 40mph downhill.
6 times more power and only 13 mph extra
I have a 5kw 72v 38a ebike goes 60mph
that tape trick is a good idea. thanks!
Why not buy a motorbike?
horizonkage no tax insurance etc required so no costs apart from electric lol
Absolutely, stay safe out there!
Deliveroo Rider-Leeds - except that this bike is illegal . 250W max output without a licence .
He's working, not commuting, and ebikes can go places where you can't take a motorbike. Maybe not entirely legally, but safely, quietly and without upsetting anyone. Couriers waste a surprising amount of time walking at each end of a job, and cycle couriers can make more money than motorbike couriers.
