  • DeWALT DCR028B 12V/20V/60V Max Bluetooth Cordless Jobsite Radio - www.toolnut.co...
    DEWALT 20V MAX Portable Radio & Battery Charger, Bluetooth (DCR025) - amzn.to/3iXSaVo
DEWALT ToughSystem Radio and Battery Charger, Bluetooth - amzn.to/3j01OqA
DEWALT 20V MAX Bluetooth Speaker for Jobsite, Tool Only (DCR010) - amzn.to/3gYYcD9
DEWALT DWST17510 TSTAK Portable Bluetooth Radio with Charger - amzn.to/2W9OGW3
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The DeWalt DCR028 Bluetooth Radio comes in at 8.25 lbs and is it’s considerably smaller than the similar-looking DeWalt DCR025 Bluetooth speaker. A 45% smaller footprint than the DCR025 is a big deal as long as you do not mind losing some sound quality.
I know everyone will ask, is a new Bluetooth radio a charger? No, it is not a charger. The good news for people looking for radios with battery chargers is that this model is replacing any other Dewalt jobsite radios. You can still buy their Bluetooth charger radio if that’s what you are looking for.
The absence of the charger is at least partially responsible for the smaller size of the new Dewalt Bluetooth Radio, and it also costs less too.
    Specs
    - 45% smaller than DRC025
    - Speakers: 2 x 3.5-in woofers + 2 x 1-in tweeters
    - Bass reflex port
    - AM/FM radio with 6 FM presets
    - 3.5mm aux input
    - Bluetooth wireless streaming
    - USB charging port
    - Power: AC cord or DeWalt 12V/20V Max battery (sold separately)
    - No integrated battery charger or AC outlets
    - Roll cage protects radio from bumps and drops
    - Weight (without battery): 8.25 lbs
    - Warranty: 3-year
    - Approximate Price: $149

What I recommend when connecting to Bluetooth. Turn up the Bluetooth volume on your phone first. Then turn up the DeWalt radio to your desired volume. It sounds much much better!! That's the way I operate my DeWalt radio.

Just got this radio and completely agree, it’s a job site radio. It does have its limitations but overall great system. I wanted to check battery life and just the radio on a regular 20 V 2 AH battery fully charged I ran it for close to 24 hr that was split over 3 days. Hope you enjoy as well.

I love it, for a small shop it is perfect. Good sound adjustability for your preference. The antenna is the best part for me. With every other radio I have tried to use in this shop I have had issues but not with this one. Great sounding radio that doesn't take up allot of space.

After the last three years using a JBL Xtreme 2 out on my boat, I lost track of how many times the battery went dead and there was no more music to be enjoyed while on the water on multi day/overnight trips. Just picked up this Dewalt stereo after a friend brought one onboard recently, it is really loud and the bass surprisingly hits hard. Sound quality is not as good as the JBL, but it really is perfect for outdoors and the boat. The feature I found the best was the possibilities for the battery - I also got the 9AH Dewalt Flexvolt and I can go days with music on board and never come close to draining the battery. I will reserve the JBL for indoor use only, and the Dewalt is now my outdoors/boat/crank it up loud stereo. Two thumbs up!

@@WorkshopAddict i noticed in your review that your model is volume controlled through the stereo and your phone. I just got mine today and idk if its an update or what but I can only controll the volume through the stereo. I can turn it up and down on my phone but it doesn't affect the radio volume unless I turn my phone volume off then it mutes the music.

@@thomasdolan8066 its pretty awesome. My only complaint would be the little screen is hard to see unless you're standing right over it 😕 at chest level you can't see anything even tho its slightly angled forward so you should be able to. Other than that it sounds great I love the little usb port and storage compartment. Also it would be nice if it had the plugs on both sides mine has 2 plugs on the right side so its a little annoying trying to use them to run extensions but I had my angle grinder hooked up to it and it worked just fine.

My biggest concern is how well the AM reception works? I rarely listen to music, but primarily AM radio.
Presets are important to me as I often change stations when the 10 minutes of advertising begins.
You also didn't mention how long it plays on the different battery sizes?

  • @jncn1490
    @jncn1490 4 ปีที่แล้ว +10

Great channel, solid review 👍....don’t see the point of this. On a construction site or framing, you either want a large powerful sound , like the original tough system radio, to fill an area...which is still the best sounding out there...or,,you want a small radio to be next to where your working, ...
This thing is too big . The new M12 radio is great size to be next to you or in a machine, manlift, etc..the small Bosch is great also...Dewalt does have a smaller radio but it’s still a medium size...and bulky. Makita makes a nice compact radio also and water resistant.
Dewalt designers just don’t get what trades people want. Expand the flexvolt line, more watt hr batteries at a lower price like Milwaukee does. Expend 12v Line and bigger 12v batteries....forget Atomic junk, and the new upgraded 20v stuff...add more 20v tools...

Atomic drills are actually very good, I use my atomic more than my XR set. It's more durable and built better, the 3 speed switch on the XR series is the stupidest design for outdoor weather, it gets slightly damp and then malfunctions constantly. I've been pretty impressed with the atomic, especially the atomic hammer drill

These radios are more expensive than non jobsite radios, but in the long run if you use a radio a lot and you have plenty of dewalt batteries you actually will save money because you won't pay for batteries which can get expensive and they don't make rechargeable D batteries

    • @oscaar5

I reccomend to hell with this radio. Mine barely got sprinkled on for a few seconds snd never worked agsin. Use all my other power stack tools in rain with no problem. This thing is junk.

You’re clipping it dude 🤦. Turn the volume down a bit on the speaker. This is hard to watch
