From there, we'll stroll through Brooklyn Bridge Park, taking in the beautiful waterfront scenery before crossing the iconic Brooklyn Bridge. It’s amazing because I remember 20 years ago I used to work in Washington Street and that was not a popular tourist destination. I wonder how that began? And forget about how Dumbo was back in the 80s 90s and 70s.😂
I don’t think it started to get popular until the 2010s at least. There wasn’t as much tourist activity back then.

I have to thank you, AK for unknowingly helping me finish writing a song I started years ago but had no inspiration on the lyrics. It's called "Man from Astoria" and I had like 1 verse for 20 years, lol. Now your videos have inspired a story about a guy from Astoria who takes us through different neighborhoods in NYC with his Segway all charged up and his Go Pro. So now I have several verses because I can reference Broadway or Nolita or Long Island City all these neighborhoods in the song. And in the end it becomes an homage to the city we love, the one with a vibe like no other place. You've lived there long enough and I see how much you focus on it vs. other places. Are you a native? Doesn't matter, just curious, I am and when I was your age, riding an expensive Segway with a sophisticated camera in most of NYC would've gotten me mugged (unless I could outrun them, heh). You're there at a really good time because cameras are everywhere so people have to be cool now. Crime still bad, but heh, nothing at all like the 70s and 80s. If you like I'll let you know when the song comes out. Unfortunately, Action Kid didn't get referenced directly, the man from Astoria has an alliterative quality that will become obvious when you hear it. Ex. The man from Astoria sets the story up.
