Great choice! That fan is such a beautiful ceiling fan and it really fits the room. I love those glass shades and the cool light pattern they cast on the room. This fan reminds me of the similar fans that Dan installed in his condo when he was moving out.
I had a black Hampton bay Huntington III a few years ago. It was thrown out due to a bad capacitor. Also at my grandparents old house they had a black and polished brass ceiling fan I nicknamed the steelers fan.
Nice and easy install. I just bought two Farmington 52" fans.. they are sold as unbranded, but we all know they are Hampton Bay. They have a very similar look to your unit with slightly different blade brackets. Mine are in brushed nickel and I will be installing with the darker wood sides of the blades visible.
At least you got the canopy on with the medallion in place. I wasn't very successful with my Harbor Breeze Edenton, where i managed to damage the canopy in the process.
Ah yes. The Huntingtons... The saggy fans you used to see at the Home Depot display. Super super childhood to me! Especially the brass. Loved these back then! Sad that Hampton Bay is nothing but garbage now..
just a tip: if the blade arms start to sag just flip the blades to the other finish and they should straighten out a bit or you could just carefully bend them back up yourself
@@Coolretrokid2 it doesn’t damage the blades, if you’re talking about flipping the blades it doesnt. if you flip the blades once it doesnt damage them. me and my cousins flip the blades on their huntington all the time and the blades arent in bad shape at all. and you can bend the blade arms without them breaking because the blade arms are made out of very flexible material
I lost medium speed because of capacitor failure, but I don’t really mind it cuz I always use full speed and low speed, but it looks like a common failure on ceiling fans

I agree, especially for an economy product, this was a pretty flashy model.

The capacitors and blade irons seemed to be a pretty common failure point in these models.
Thats unfortunate. They seem to be decent fans.
The capacitor on my 2003 White one hasn't shown signs of failure yet.

Thanks for letting me know.

Beautiful Fan!
Nice fan install. I’ve never heard anyone complain that their ceiling fan is too bright lol. It’s always people complaining about how dim the fan is.
I have a White one made on the same year. When I got it from Habitat ReStore it's blades obviously came saggy, but I fixed it completely.

My neighbor had a Hampton bay Huntington iii in antique Brass finish and it was installed in her house in the dining room

Is installing a celling fan for the bathroom gonna be your next goal?
The hallway units are higher priority, I need those before the winter comes around.

These were made during the capacitor plague era. Unfortunately they will probably all need to have the capacitors replaced soon.
I have the same one but in black
OK
Please put in LED lightbulbs for the ceiling fan.
Stop with the LED spam. I've already well-established many times why I'm not using LED bulbs.
Those aren’t that bad tbh. Mine worked pretty well
Same
Install LED light bulb in
Don't tell me what to do.
