Swayambhunath isnt a pagoda. Although pagoda is used as a word for temple in some south esat asian countries . Pagoda is a style of architecture in south asian countries. Swayambunath is built in Chaitya style or Shikhara style. Usually it tappers towards the top and doesnot have roofs.. but the other temples in durbar square with multiple storeys (eg. Nayatapole of Bhaktapur) are of pagoda style. Like chinese, korean and japanese monasteries with slanted multiple roofs
