I wonder why Windows codename Whistler released prior to Windows XP in 2001, I couldn't remember that from when I had my first computer at 4 years old (Windows Vista)
Windows Vista really was good but the UI was a bit off, From 2007-mid 2009 I played games with my grandma's boyfriend which knew how to help me on the PC since then, Now I am waiting to see Windows 11 ready for my grandma's PC by bypassing the CPU requirements.
Whistler isn't a distinct version, it was the codename for Windows XP. Codenames are given to products it has in development before these products are given the names by which they appear on store shelves.
It's a Windows XP beta build, even though it's codenamed 'Whistler'. 2428 in particular introduced XP's Luna UI. See more info here: betawiki.net/wiki/Windows_XP_build_2428
The Whistler boot screen was so clean. Wonder why they changed it.
it was the early 2000s, minimalism wasn't really trendy
@Guest_7802 You know it's pretty weird to just start Every Word Like This.
@Baguettely cause they're a child
The could have changed whistle țext with windows xp
@@denisdeseneaza1724 The T has fashion!
The good old Whistler days of XP had come to me again.
I felt so happy
Hi
@@cahesaku hello
...except the "Whistler days" were before XP's release.

1:34 I don't know/It is obvious why Microsoft has been redesigned this incredible boot screen
has "been" redesigned?
They should’ve kept it (or at least something similar to it)!!! It looked modern!!!
@@elijahtorres2688True, but changing the logo to the final one, changing the text to "microsoft windows xp" and removing the "beta 2 release text"
That fading-in taskbar when you log into your account would look great in Windows 11, ngl.
0:09 win xp logo in whistler lol
Yeah dummy, this build introduced it
The Best operating system ever!
For some reason Whistler looks better then XP final release. But both are great in their own way.
I really like that boot screen for some reason
Xp is the best Windows.Yes.Xp is good system.
Version 2 of the incredible boot screen.
(Ver. 1: 2419, Ver. 2: 2428)
Endermanch vibe moment.

I miss windows wishler build 2428
Windows whistler has a install theme it is very good and windows xp also but not same colour like windows xp
It was almost the same as Windows XP, but 16 colors causes it to go weird
How did you upgrade to this build?
I used the 2428 installer disc. Upgraded from a RTM version of Windows 2000
@@NobelTech ok, thanks. I didn't upgrade from build 2419
