Polar Express is one of my favorite movies and trains. When the movie first came out we saw it at the I-Max theater in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada in 3D and we were so impressed we had to watch it two more times.

The polar express is longer than I thought. I have alway found 1225 whistle kind of unique sounding.

The snow looked like it took way more effort! Lol I was gonna try baby powder but I think I'll go with your idea! We've just got the lionchief version. But I just got a new MTH Berkshire to replace the lionchief berk, so I'll paint it and try re lettering it. ;) I wanted more realistic sounds and smoke.

Each part of this train was sold separately, except the Engine/Tender was a pair and the Observation Car/1 Coach Was a pair
I noticed in one of the shots near the end an iPhone was being used to record. How are you able to film at 4K 60fps on an iPhone back in 2015? and it was so clear!
Hey, thanks for your interest! I checked back at the raw footage, and it was recorded in 4K 30 fps with an iPhone 6S. The "up close" shots were shot with a GoPro Hero 4 Black.

Really great! How did you do the snow on the cars?
It's actually just some Woodland Scenics Soft Flake Snow that was sprinkled on top of the cars. It's not glued or treated, it is just held on by friction.
Where can I get the Lionel Legacy Polar Express Train Set?
This was a limited run train, it’s almost impossible to find it. You might get lucky on eBay though. There’s currently a set for sale on eBay, but it is with the Pere Marquette berkshire, with the accessory Polar Express tender. If you search “Polar Express heavyweights” on eBay, it should come up.
I’m pretty Lionel is doing another production run for this locomotive and the passenger cars. I saw it in the 2017 Volume 2 catalog.

where'd you get the snow effects on the tracks from
The ballast was woodland scenics played down, then glued. The snow was also woodland scenics, however that was just sprinkled on as we found that gluing the snow down caused a yellowing effect
Where do u buy one of these trains the Lionel legacy one. Can I buy yours
They are very hard to find. We preordered this locomotive about 6 months in advance. This is not for sale, but you might be able to find some on eBay
Correct me if I’m wrong but I think Lionel is doing another production run of this engine. Check the 2017 Volume 2 catalog to see but I’m almost certain it was in the Legacy Steam section.
