  • We bought this in 2008 with 25,000 miles on it off Craigslist. It’s been the most reliable car I’ve owned!

The trip meter goes up to 10,000 miles so its time to start tracking that trip! These care are incredible. I started putting little notches in my glove box after 299,999 every 10k. These 9th generations are some of the best built Corolla's in the history of Toyota. They want for nothing!

Was thinking about doing the same thing. This Corolla is still like new with 300k. I don’t think it’ll ever stop

You will need new sparkplugs next. Maybe ignition coils which plug in easily without tools. Buy them at the dealership. You got a great deal. Congratulations! Sold mine after it was neglected.

Right! At 300K I should maybe consider some maintenance. Thanks for the tip!!!!

You can buy a used odometer. Easy to replace. Just keep track of mileage from new set point. I have same year/model no sunroof. Orig owner only 162k

I got 313,000 on a 4.6l expedition 2003 . Mobile 1 all the way every 10 -15k miles. I replaced original plugs with narrower gap plugs 0.045” and with those red high power coils at 100k .

Yes the Ford 4.6. Another motor that will go forever. I've had that in my TownCars over the years and the frames rust out before the motor is even broke in. I've got a 2011 Lincoln with the 4.6 with no rust and I'll love to see how far that one goes!

@@stoptaxingme yes but the later 4.6 and 5.4’s have the 3 valves per cylinder that have lots of problems.! That started in 2005 trucks. The only other one was the v10 6.8 liter in the excursions till 2005 with 2 valves per cylinder plus fully aluminum intake manifold like the earlier 4.6 L in the 2003/4 expeditions . The 5.4 L with the mixed aluminum and plastic manifold is problematic at best. I have an antifreeze leak on the plastic intake part now on my 2003 5.4L with ~180k miles which I bought used at the time back in 2018 for a good price. Next time I will only buy 4.6 L 2003-4 expeditions or V10 excursions up to 2005 . Otherwise I will look at Toyota or infinity g37 with at least V6 . My daughter bought a used 2013 g37 infinity AWD in 2017 and it presently has 263k miles on it. The only nuisance problem on that car was the coils. I replaced them all with higher intensity red versions and new plugs .

@@johnhardasnails7464 Yes those 3v are junk and to be avoided!

@@stoptaxingme yes I also bought a used 1993 town car with the 4.6 L engine in 1997. It lasted till about 200k miles where the interior and canvas top was falling apart. The motor eventually developed a head gasket leak so I decided to junk it in 2017. It was time lol.

@@stoptaxingme doesn’t your 2011 TC have the 3 value per cyl v8 engine too?
