bro, this is such a short and good tutorial... thank god, thank you so much. i wasted almost half an hour listening to another video that did waaaay too many steps to actually get an even worse result. thanks bro!
You could do the same Xpresso process, but drag the Blackbody Emission Tag from inside the Material instead of the Light Tag. That way you'll be able to plug the Noise to the Emission Tab Power parameter.

How would you go about ramping the light for a pulsing on/off (like a heartbeat light on a laptop instead of this more strobe-y look)? Could I do it by loading a gradient into xpresso instead of a noise?
@@GLYNDYER How was this copying in any way? Just because they both made flickering lights from Octane? The settings and process were different. Chill before making a serious accusation like saying someone is copying someone else.

You saved my life with this tutorial - TY!
Really cool Tut! Exactly what i needed. HOWEVER. I figured this method does not work on Objects! How would i do it with Emissioned objects?

what if instead of lights you want to add flickering to the emissive material?

Deus te abençoe e muito obrigado pelos ótimos tutoriais!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What GPU you have?
Currently I have one 2070 and one 1070.
I gave this a thumbs down for blatant copying of another tutorial. Come on dude this isn’t a way to generate following.
Which tutorial am I copying? My mentor taught me this so I decided to make a video on it because I thought some people might find use for it.
