Mostly what I want is a full-on Chaos civil war. And I want Archaon to have a comeback. Have the war be a back and forth.
I side with archaon. What could be more chaosy than killing the gods of chaos? Its the natural next step as he rises through the ranks. Hes just on the final steps on his path to glory
Until he turns into a chaos spawn.
At the end of the day, he only exists until his usefulness runs out.
There are only 4 lords of chaos, and they do not share power.

My new Slaves to Darkness warband are dedicated to Slaanesh, or what they think is the voice of Slaanesh speaking to their leaders… it’s actually Be’lakor getting them to unknowingly achieve his aims under the guise of hedonism and excess 😁
I prefer Archaeon personally, he has always just seemed really cool. I love his defiance to the chaos gods.
My growing Slaves to Darkness army is a rag tag collection of barbarians tribes that are being subtly influenced by Archaeon's agents into a more coherent military force under his control.
Always good to see a Chaos lore video. Although, Khagra is the true champion of chaos.

Amazing video, I think that Games Workshop is developing the Slaves to Darkness fantastically well. I cannot wait for the new tome and I am looking forward to the release of Godeater's Son and your review of it. I might make it my first Black Library Novel since I was roughly sixteen many ages ago.
Be'Lakor has always been my favourite character in the setting and seeing him getting some wins is fantastic. I know that Archaon will put him in his place proclaiming, 'this is bad comedy' in his best Galvatron voice.
I like archoen more but they need to expand on him maybe have have the 1st circle be dedicated to his true goal or have a eternus type character for archeon
I think the worst thing about Archaon's moves in Ghur is that he left his dudes to fight Kragnos of all people. Even the Khornates probably balked at that order
I guess another sign of Be’Lakor’s growing influence in chaos can be seen in Warcry with the Chaos Legionnaires warband since they are secret Be’Lakor worshippers.
Given that Eternus was created by Be'Lakor destroying his mortal body with Stormcast lightning gheists and then inhaling those gheists and breathing them into his desecrated form to reconstitute him in black lightning and how when he dies, he reforms in said black lightning, he's very much the first Chaos Stormcast. I hope Be'Lakor creates more and makes Chaos Stormcast as an army a thing in lore. Did you notice the new lore added for Archaon how he decimated several worlds between the old Warhammer world and the Mortal Realms and how the Slayer of Kings permanently corrupts any eternal champions or godbeasts slain by it?
Cool! I didn't know that the Slayer of Kings lore was now updated, but it was hinted at after the battle of The Eightpoints when Katakros was remade but could still feel the killing wound even in his new body
@@cursling9 Yeah, it's in the new book that Katakros repeatedly has his physical body destroyed and his Mortisans build a new one cause he keeps being assailed by Chaotic visions, but it doesn't make them stop. Even Vandus Hammerhand is losing it, he lost control at a speech, he's assailed by visions and is rumored to speak in a voice that's not his own and when not on duty, he confines himself to his cell in Sigmarabulum. And the Godbeast, Ignax the solar drake is said to from his slumber "opens one baleful eye, a glimmer of dark magic within..."
It's quite an interesting update and makes the handiwork of Uzhul more interesting. It hints that even Sigmar himself fears the blade because of this

I wish you had mentioned Eternus being a "Dark" Stormcast. His immortality comes from being imbued with the stolen Divine lightning of stormcasts trapped in the dark cloud.
He'll get a dedicated video, this was just to setup the subplot of where Archaon and Belakor stand

I think it would cool if they had a story where Archaon does break into Azyr from the 8 points but Be'lakor was waiting for this and did some things to weaken Archaon so he does get defeated (though he does get revenge on Be’lakor in some way), but also Be’lakor also hides a bunch of his troops in Archaon’s forces (invasion force and those still guarding the main base), sowing confusion in them. Then he gives the signal and Be’lakor’s forces start attacking Archaon’s forces and the forces of Order. It becomes a giant chaotic fight. Because chaos doing what it has done in the past and turned on itself the forces of Order are able to drive the chaos forces back.
I think it would also be cool to hint at this. Like Tzeentch wizards could get a premonition if Be’lakor’s betrayal and tries to warn Archaon.

I think this is the plot of the realmgate wars and Necroquake with the addition of Be'lakor. If you're not familiar with them, that's way cool that you've come up with a narrative paid writers have done!
Then the Skaven do something that both hurts them, and all the other armies involved hehe.

played demon legion in wfb, been a fan since belakor got metal (^^). That being said, his biggest appeal is his strive, archaon is above him, he is the ultimate endeavor, the foe of foes and therefore what gets belakor going.
The new battletome and army set are amazing. My Slaaneshi Demon Prince and his undivided chosen and teridons as a tip of the spear shock troops for hire for Archaon forces in Ghur
Apart from Archaon having the most bad ass title in the whole setting, Archaon the Everchosen, Exalted Grand Marshal of the Apocalypse 🤯 the other reason I'd follow him is because he is just a dude who can withstand speaking directly with the Dark Gods! He calls Tzeentch out on his BS daily, he had a chat with Slaanesh whilst breaking her chains and was just like "shut up, whisperer of lies, I'm doing this for me, not you. You owe me." He is a guy who took over the Mortal Realms, survived the explosion of the old world to conquer new ones. He's playing 3D chess with gods, daemons and mortals alike all at once whilst both defending and attacking territories. He killed the god of death!! The man has a reputation. Whilst Be'lakor is a daemon who is bitter that he isn't Archaon even though he hasn't achieved what Archaon has
Basically. Belakor is just another scheming simp. Chad Archaon actually gets shit done.
When it comes to Slaves to Darkness, I'll side with Archaon.
Mind you, when it comes to Chaos in general, I'm a Tzeentch-daemon-girl. I like daemons, but only tzeentchy ones. Be'lakor is daemonic, but he is undivided. If I have to choose something from Chaos Undivided, I'll take the mortal-passing stuff. That means choosing Archaon over Be'lakor.
I do hate how they completely nuked the Daemon army list for Be'lakor.
On a narrative level, I have always preferred Be'lakor over Archaon, even back in fantasy. Ultimately though, I prefer running a more personal style chaos army regardless of those preferences myself, with my own characters... Though I might get Be'lakor at some point.
For now though, my chaos side narrative is all about Meresankh, my Lord of Change.

Archaon Evershosen everyday. He is the war host of the apocalypse. I love belabor and the schemes, but Archaon has so much more potential. He hasn’t even ascended to Daemonhood and he’s on par with Belakor if not his better. I would say in terms of blindness though it’s possible Archaon can fall to Belakor’s state, where he is damned for his transgressions against the gods. But he is yet to receive such a damnation as Belakor did. I think because of Archaons plays against the god are what does it
He's only on par cause he's riding that giant shapeshifting demon horse that got to turn itself into a dragon.

So far each edition has seen a new grand alliance in ascension. 1st Order, 2nd was Death, 3rd is Destruction. So I think we will see the biiiiig Chaos moves come 4th.
I hope they give some love to the minor Chaos Gods: the Horned rat, Hashut, maybe even Malal...
@@fyraltari1889 with all the hints being dropped lately starting with the release of the Kruleboyz (hobgrots) and then Horns of Hashut in Warcry, and several other lore bits, I think the chaos dwarfs returning is only a matter of time
CultOfPaint is working on a Belakor aligned warband. Testing out the color scheme in the past two vids.
If I cannot serve slaanesh I would serve Belakor 100/100 times let the first prince reign
I feel the same way about “god-level” characters. I don’t mind minor named characters, but a Primarch/Silent King/AoS Diety doesn’t seem appealing. I like to make my own Warlord with their own backstory. For Slaves to Darkness, I’m converting up a Sorcerer on Manticore. (Dedicated to Tzeentch that is) Belakor does seem cool, but I like the Varanguard so thanks for pointing out that Eternis is ex-Varanguard.
The real narrative beat we need is a consequential Destruction win over Chaos. I'd love to have Archaon and Belakor Duke it out, but just as one or the other is about to triumph, Waaagh Gordrak makes good on his capture of the Mawgate and krumps someone real good. After all, Archaon was defeated by an orc warlord in the old world; why not do it again!
I am an Archaon simp. Archaon can do wrong for me, I would follow him into Azyr and back!
