I searched on TH-cam for SNES MK3 and chose to watch this video because it had the longest runtime. I love MK3 because it has the original music, sound effects, and even the animality / babality sounds that was later remixes in the UMK3 / Trilogy Versions. I remember getting this on my SNES in Christmas of 95 (I was eight years old then) this game was constantly on and played for years between my siblings , cousins, and friends . This video truly brings back memories. Till this day I remember the codes to enable “Kool Stuff” , “Kooler Stuff” , “Scotts Stuff”, and “Sound Test” 🤦🏾♂️ that code and the code to get to Mike Tyson on NES’ Punch Out will always be embedded in my 🧠 the memories , the memories .
This game is one of my favorite classic games and I was thrilled to find a copy. Now I can enjoy the nostalgia all over again! I love every part of the game from the hidden fighter to the fatalitys,animalities, and babalities. The new fighters mixed in with the older fighters makes it the most fun you could have with a game.

For everybody watching this is a TAS (Tool-Assisted Speedrun), meaning that the player used computer programs to make frame-perfect actions while playing through a game. It is impossible to achieve a completley flawless victory run in this version of MK3, as there is a game-breaking programing bug where every other round (not every other character, every other round), the CPU will react and perform attacks faster than any human could ever do. It makes the game practicality unbeatable without cheats.
Rise Wolf2387 it's clearly TAS. The timing never misses a beat or makes an error. A human playing will have ever so slight variations over several hours of play. Not hating but clearly code in a script which anyone could've posted...
Wow of all things they skimped on to save space they sure kept the Kang fireball explosion sprites and animation very smooth! Impressively odd if nothing else!

This GAME was a huge part of my Childhood. When I got it back in 1996 is was so special to me. When I saw all the Finishing Moves for the first time.... wwoowww. Love that Game especially the Super Nintendo Version. This Game will always be in my Top Games for the SNES. What are your Memories on this Game???

"His" victories were arranged in advance, i.e. it was tool-assisted. No need for any player watching this to be jealous. At least I'm not, because I'm experienced in playing MK enough to be content with the way I play, including all the imperfections.

Tenho uma dica que descobri com meu irmao sobre este jogo, quando se libera o Shao Kan e o Motaro vc luta com eles somente no modo versus, nós descobrimos como jogar com eles no modo arcade, mas infelizmente nenhum dos dois possuem final. Se voce estiver acompanhando ainda os comentarios deste video me responde, ainda tenho vontade de jogar novamente e gostaria de saber se da para jogar on line.
Existem alguns emuladores e programas como Hamachi, mas não sei usa-los para jogo online. No Steam tem o Mortal Kombat Komplete Edition e o Mortal Kombat Kollection (que são as versões de Arcade de MK, MK2 e UMK3 em um pacote que tem modo online)

They didn't have the actor's character finished when the first version was released or the Ultimate version ether. A lot of the actors quit because they weren't being paid. I think it was mostly the cast for this version. That's why ultimate mortal Kombat was easy to release. They used 2 new actors for all the female ninja's & the male ninja's. Trilogy they just ripped the characters from MK2 & gave the unused moves. Johnny cage was the only used new actor for trilogy. I believe his sprites weren't done in right lighting or something because his character is very blurry & just doesn't match the others. Maybe they didn't get enough takes or something & put him in as a bonus?

Imagine being a kid in the late 90s and playing this game.. with the lights off... BY YOURSELF!! Shit used to scare the HELL outta me! I remember my Older brothers had MKIII for the Super Nintendo and Ultimate MKIII for the Sega Genesis when I was a kid and I always found the SNES verison' s sound/music more superior than the Sega verison. It really brought the games dark & violence tone out better than any port. But man... UMKIII HAD RAIN & NOOB SAIBOT:( If anybody can anybody explain why certain KEY characters (like scorpion, reptile, & masked sub zero) were missing from MKIII but were on UMKIII???
Well, they wanted to go in a different direction when it came to ninjas, and if you noticed where they were fighting, it was in Earthrealm, not Outworld so Raiden had to group the warriors he could save in a short time. It was only when fans didn't like the exclusions of the ninjas that they redid MK3 to UMK3 and added the ninjas. I just hoped they kept some things from MK3 to UMK3, and I hoped they could have Shao Khan in MK11 as an announcer but this Shao Khan, not MK9 Shao Khan.
Does anyone know how to beat MK3 SNES AI? I sucked at MK3. every time I uppercut, they kept counter uppercutting me. Same when I do the jump kick, they counter me with a jump punch. I just now can't do anything to win the battle.
I had it on PS1. I fucking went to school with that old long box and strategy guide in it. I was destroyed by the loading for the morphs and levels. But the rest was fucking ecstasy! I want the SNES one now for the cartridge format...(maybe I'll walk around with that in my shorts or something...wait! ain't there a flawless version on the ds...yaaaaah....the more comfortable fit...)

Correct, Stryker have a pistol on MK3 but he only gets to use that gun actually from UMK3 and later versions! :)

I want the SNES one now for the cartridge format...(maybe I'll walk around with that in my shorts or something...wait! ain't there a flawless version on the ds...yaaaaah....the more comfortable fit...)

Why is the sound so muffled? MKII on SNES didn't have the same sound issue.
The snes was old when this came out
Lots of SNES games had better sound quality, where music and SFX didn't have the "muffled quality" like here.
+Marc Quill Sound of this quality usually happens when there's too much data stored on the cartridge. Because of this, some developers have to lower the audio sample quality since it's one of the files which use the most space. Some games like Tales of Phantasia and Street Fighter Alpha 2 tried to deal with this, using compression for the graphics and extra stuff to enhance audio quality without bloating its size. It seems nothing of that was done on MK3 or UMK3
