    My dad taught me to knock a person out if he touches my pagg. It worked pretty well in junior high school and high school. And it’s working pretty well even now. Until we start fighting back bullying will never stop. You might get suspended in school (majority of bullying happens in schools) but it’s well worth it because it sends a message to rest of the people in school. I’m the nicest person you’ll meet but if you disrespect my guru or my turban I’m gonna knock you out.
    We need to teach Sikh kids how to fight back start them working out at young age it brings confidence.

      @Justin-bass good! That you learned martial arts and I also think that if someone touches your hair or patka and just laugh at u don’t go over to a teacher punch them hard on the nose and make it bleed because nowadays seriously…teachers do nothing when it comes to bullying

    Now, I mostly made more friends, but in the past when I first came to to America I was so bullied for wearing a patka some kids would rudely touching my patka but now I made friends because us Sikhs are now getting powerful meaning I can’t be the only Sikh boy at school I’m happy that there’s Sikhs in my school like we made a whole team now! And now no one dares to bully us and plus i even learned martial arts. It’s a long journey but you too will get there!

      Oh my gooddd bhen sameee. I always wear a chunni and most of the time people think I’m Muslim. I don’t hate that they think I’m Muslim, because Muslim bibiyan are doing their part in their deen and covering up. I do hate that because it’s so rare for Sikh bibiyan to wear a chunni, even our own people ask “why are you wearing one? you’re not even amritdhari” its annoying and makes me really angry. I answer “because I’m a sikh”. Ugh

I personally prefer wearing a chunni🙏🏽I think dastar has a amritdhari vibe to it and I’m not worthy of showing people I’m on that level because I’m not and that would be pakhand.

    @BasicsofsikhiTV Waheguru ji ka khalsa waheguru ji ke fateh. Could you please answer this question, I am in highschool and I like a girl that is gursikh. Should I tell her how I feel with the condition that we can only be friends until our age is right for marriage and only once our parents meet each other and agree, we can get married or is it better for me to not say anything and if she is meant to be with me, she will be.

    • @hk2336
      @hk2336 ปีที่แล้ว

      You only present 2 choices. Neither of which is right. You should not act rashly and tell her now neither should you do nothing. Have dheeraj. Which is having the courage to accept/tolerate hardship. Stay silent and don't tell her. I think it will make things awkward between you two if you do. I think you can tell your parents so that they can be ready to start the process when time is right. Tell them I think I have found someoneI would like to marry when I grow up. They might even talk to the girls parents and get you guys engaged. Without involving the parents, the chances of it happening are low.
      If you are not close to your parents then just wait.
      Basically I am saying action is required but not now. In the future when yiu are marriage age then bring it up.

    Nothing wrong with showing people your long hair. Being afraid to get seen without a turban is an insecurity, most likely ashamed and/or afraid of what one will think of your hair. That's the the complete opposite of confidence. Don't be ashamed to walk outside without a turban. Never be ashamed of your hair. Let them look and laugh. Understand people may be ignorant to the meaning. Sikhi will always be unique and different. That's something to be proud of.
