Cardi gets a lot of good faith and support from predominantly urban listeners because anyone who grew up in the hood like I did knows someone exactly like Cardi. I have 2 cousins that are just like her and went to school with many girls who sound, speak and even look just like her. There's a familiarity there and you can't help but want to see her win. Also, she is unapologetically herself and it's hard not to respect that. That said, she is not a creative, not a musician as it's clear she doesn't write, certainly not a rapper her flow and mechanics are atrocious, but she IS an interesting and charismatic entertainer. Will she have a career when the novelty of her personality wears off? Who knows, but she's not bringing anything new into the genre except for injecting it with some old school charisma which you could say mumble rappers have kind of chipped away at since hip-hop has always been known for bold personalities.

In terms of ‘soundtrack’ artists, I think people haven’t caught on to Darren Korb’s amazing works in conjunction with Super Giant’s games and his albums should get way more attention and recognition
On the experimental side of things there is one titanic musical group that I feel should be a top priority for review by you and that's Sleepytime Gorilla Museum. They have three full studio albums and tons of live footage on youtube which is a must for this band because of their intense integration of theatrics to their music. If there's any place to start getting into experimental music reviews after doing mainstream/popular music reviews for so long then SGM is certainly the band to start with for they are possibly the most "popular" experimental band out there aside from Death Grips, but that's definitely apples and oranges.
I used to be a major iggy azalea fan. How big? I got a copy of reclassified ( a reissue of the new classic) for xmas 2014. Black widow was also for a bit my ALL TIME fav song. Fast forward to 2018, i now regret even wanting it, and my copy of reclassified is STILL sitting on my desk to this day! Since then, ive gotten the latest green day, rise against, and weeknd albums.
IDK if you ever read these older comments, but just on the off-chance you do: It'd be really cool if you made a video about some of your favorite game soundtracks. I get that it might not be a thing you want to do regularly, of course, and even if you did, it'd be kinda redundant seeing as it'd be full of the same classic as everyone else's game OST listings. (Not to say that OSTs like those of Metroid, Zelda and Donkey Kong aren't amazing) Also, if you do happen to listen to game soundtracks every now and then, I can't really recommend Chris Christodoulou's soundtrack for an indie game called Risk of Rain enough. Seriously, an incredible piece of work that works as a standalone album. Electronic, atmospheric soundtrack full of unconventional but amazingly executed elements, perfectly crafted and blended together. Even if you'll never do a video on game soundtracks, I still say you really should check it out. It can be found in it's entirety on TH-cam, uploaded by the artist himself, and it's available for listening and purchase through his bandcamp. Anyway, thanks for being the sole music critic in the world that I can really listen to and appreciate, even when we disagree. You are to me what Walter White was to Gale Boetticher.

On the experimental side of things there is one titanic musical group that I feel should be a top priority for review by you and that's Sleepytime Gorilla Museum. They have three full studio albums and tons of live footage on youtube which is a must for this band because of their intense integration of theatrics to their music. If there's any place to start getting into experimental music reviews after doing mainstream/popular music reviews for so long then SGM is certainly the band to start with for they are possibly the most "popular" experimental band out there aside from Death Grips, but that's definitely apples and oranges.

I used to be a major iggy azalea fan. How big? I got a copy of reclassified ( a reissue of the new classic) for xmas 2014. Black widow was also for a bit my ALL TIME fav song. Fast forward to 2018, i now regret even wanting it, and my copy of reclassified is STILL sitting on my desk to this day! Since then, ive gotten the latest green day, rise against, and weeknd albums.

IDK if you ever read these older comments, but just on the off-chance you do: It'd be really cool if you made a video about some of your favorite game soundtracks. I get that it might not be a thing you want to do regularly, of course, and even if you did, it'd be kinda redundant seeing as it'd be full of the same classic as everyone else's game OST listings. (Not to say that OSTs like those of Metroid, Zelda and Donkey Kong aren't amazing)
Also, if you do happen to listen to game soundtracks every now and then, I can't really recommend Chris Christodoulou's soundtrack for an indie game called Risk of Rain enough. Seriously, an incredible piece of work that works as a standalone album. Electronic, atmospheric soundtrack full of unconventional but amazingly executed elements, perfectly crafted and blended together. Even if you'll never do a video on game soundtracks, I still say you really should check it out. It can be found in it's entirety on TH-cam, uploaded by the artist himself, and it's available for listening and purchase through his bandcamp.
Anyway, thanks for being the sole music critic in the world that I can really listen to and appreciate, even when we disagree. You are to me what Walter White was to Gale Boetticher.
