Tanks are looking great Logan! I’m not usually an Iwagumi fan but I really like the tank with the blue rasboras in it! I remember watching when you initially set up your first tank in your new home it’s come a long way with all the changes and it still lives on! Looking forward to seeing what you decide to create next in that tank

Logan, thanks again for the update. Personally, I like the 60U despite the issues. Looking forward to the new rescape.
You mentioned that you brought some plants from NY. Perhaps a video on transporting plants since you drove across the county? Also, the alge control from BP, please let us know how it goes.

I always boil wood before setting up a scape, I find it leads to less tannings/mould/algae issues.
Not a bad idea, but I tend to over-filter my tanks so much, that I really never have to deal with murky watery

Great tanks! Light screen make an insane difference to the look of a tank! It's a shame they are so damn expensive!

They really are a hefty additional expense, but they're so dope!
I think the rescape on your oldest tank, since you're going to do hanging lights, would be a good opportunity to have a lot of hardscape coming out of the tank. Maybe throw some moss on emergent wood with terra tape or something similar. I'm excited to see whatever you come up with!
I was thinking the same. It would be cool to make use of the free vertical space!
Yeap the Seiryu Iwagumi is really nice! Im not feeling the other newer Iwagumi, the rock isnt that good looking. A bigger tank maybe a Ryoboku in the future ?

You can trim anytime, but if it's a large trimming... I always do that in conjunction with a water change, which is something you want to do either before the photoperiod/CO2 kicks on, or early in the period
