Hello.. I'm from a small Island of the Indian Ocean.. Mauritius and I discovered Royksopp at random few years ago on TH-cam.. I know no one around me who know this band or listen to them, it was some kind of I can't find words to tell this 'rencontre' with Royksopp.. love all their songs and some of them strangely describe my own life.. like as if we've been through the same tour in the voyage of our lives.. merci Royksopp..
Боже, как я понимаю вас. Мне 47, и я так счастлива, что знакома с такой гениальной группой, как Royksopp. Моя мечта побывать на их концерте. Уверена, она обязательно сбудется
Most songs I fall in love with lose their magic after few days of constant listening. But this one... Two years since youtube decided to bless me with the recommendation, yet every replay feels just like the first. Calling it ethereal wouldn't even do it justice.
I just realized that the name DAAE on the tombstone at the end of the video is the last name of Christina DAAE, the woman in this video. I've never seen Phantom of the Opera, and also learned this is an excerpt from it. It is a very beautiful and well done video.
the best thing about röyksopp is that they have so many different sounding tunes. Not a fan of stuff like this at all..But then there are tracks that im totally addicted to
I feel peace of my soul when I listen this music. Absolutely masterpiece. This is it, what is sound, feeling and feeling is Röyksopp. We are thank you Röyksopp. Greetings from Czech Republic.
Beautiful and subtle. Instant chills. Such cold scenery, paired with such warm tones. Short and sweet. Could listen to this over and over, with sounds of rain and thunder in the background. Favorite out of their more new-ish tracks.
Those soft strings and piano notes when the drop hits, ugh the forgiving emotion of the music almost like the wave of contemplation that hits you once you get past the initial fear or nonchalant thoughts of a graveyard… just resonates so strongly with me
The intricacies are beautifully blended. Certain layers remind me of their "Forsaken Cowboy." Whichever came first inspired the other for sure. I'm a new fan, so I'm hearing their entire repertoire all at once... meaning I don't know the chronology of their discography.
This video materializes one of my worst and most delightful nightmares. A magical light that comes on in a mausoleum, the door that opens by itself as in an invitation to the afterlife. Bless me St. Michael the Archangel! 😶😶😶😶😵😵😵😵
Cette musique me rend toujours autant mélancolique et je ne m'en lasse pas ! (alors que je l'écoute en boucle quand je m'y mets.....c'est rarissime qu'un titre arrive à se faire aimer aussi longtemps)
Naureen Nizam ⚘⚘⚘⚘⚘Incredible video this has quickly become my favorite musical piece this has captured my mind and soul this is truly a masterpiece very mystic video draws you into the night...🌷🌷🌷🌷💜💜💜💜⚘⚘⚘⚘🎵🎵🎵🎵..I've become your # 1 follower 🎧🎧🎧🎧🎵🎵🎵🎵.

Thanks for the info December. I wonder though if the video portion comes right out of Phantom of the Opera or if it was made just for this tune. Was the tune itself included in the film score? Was it even a film or an actual play?
Doing the whole tour here and this is also on of the vids I rarely watch and I don't know why. As always superbly edited and an extrapoint is awarded for the good idea. The track fits perfectly.
I listen this song for very 1st time 20 years ago and today's still loving it. Hope to see someday Röyksopp live in Mexico.
What a masterpiece of a song. Almost 14 years later, i still get goosebumps and all the feels.

Mee too
My kid thinks this is dark and depressing, but I find it to be hauntingly beautiful.
It takes living to see beauty in emotion.
@@khanzy. you meant darkness it takes living to see Beauty in the DARKNESS

Calling it ethereal wouldn't even do it justice.
very dreamy melody, can't get enough.
Melodic, nuances, non-repetitive and organic, beautiful flow, nice evolution... This is just about as good as music can get.

This is one of the greatest works of art, of any kind, ever.

Emmy Rossum is the actress here, she was in Day after tomorrow and Phantom of the opera among other things.
I wish that Royksopp made more songs like this. This is probably by far my favorite by them out of the songs I've listened to.
+Maddy Stanger I love their range, I keep finding myself coming back to them over and over since childhood. Adore them
miss it so much, i find it beautiful as this
the best thing about röyksopp is that they have so many different sounding tunes.
Not a fan of stuff like this at all..But then there are tracks that im totally addicted to
Madeline Stanger But...she doesn't sing....

A masterpiece, gives me goosebumps
Amazing song, Royksopp quickly and easily made the top of my favourite list when I discovered them almost 6 years ago.
Röyksopp con la melancolía como estandarte, simplemente unos genios.
This song is pure magic... one of the best Röyksopp' songs ever!
Those soft strings and piano notes when the drop hits, ugh the forgiving emotion of the music almost like the wave of contemplation that hits you once you get past the initial fear or nonchalant thoughts of a graveyard… just resonates so strongly with me
Once was literally stunned by this music for the whole day. Amazing
I never get tired of this song.
Un beau morceau mélancolique tout en douceur ! Superbe 🤗💫💫♥️
I can feel some Forsaken cowboy vibes here, what a great track
Fills my tortured soul with a wonderful calmness that drowns out everything else and overflows...
The intricacies are beautifully blended. Certain layers remind me of their "Forsaken Cowboy." Whichever came first inspired the other for sure. I'm a new fan, so I'm hearing their entire repertoire all at once... meaning I don't know the chronology of their discography.

I agree
I want to live in that space,.
Same here, Bro. Same here.
The dissonance is what makes that part so good. The 2 notes that are only a half step away from each other.
I'm 24 and the junior album dreaming of being a kid again.
