Funny thing is, Zelda taught meme English. I remember playing OoT with a dictionary by my side. My parents never learned English so I had to figure it out somehow.
I'm 30 years old and I am so glad that I got to experience the majority of this amazing franchise during its prime. Wind waker is still to this day, my favorite
Ocarina was my first zelda game I've ever played when I was 18 or 19. Without a guide online or book. I spent hours to complete it. Now I'm 37, and this game still holds a special place. No other zelda game beats the feeling I had completing OOT. After OOT I decided to play all the others, from NES , GB, to WII and switch. The others are good, but don't quite give me the nostalgic trip and excitement I had with OOT. Windwaker is my nr2 and LOZ on the NES is my nr 3. Nice to see these games still hold up, even with younger generations
Just want to clear up the reason I didn’t add Link to the past to my Zelda video. I deadass didn’t know how good it was and it never really crossed my mind to add it. All the honourable mentions were quite last minute to include because I felt like there wasn’t enough to the video however I do wish I did include it because it would’ve just made sense 😭 sorry for the people who are disappointed! Might make a short on it tho :)
I recommend making a video on 2d Zelda games such as a link to the past. Links awakening. The oracle games. Minish cap. Four swords. Four swords adventures and a link between worlds. Not triforce heroes though def not triforce heroes LOL.
I was so shocked to not see it mentioned, but I'm glad you did get a chance to go check it out from the sound of it because it really is such an incredible game and one I don't think I'll ever get tired of revisiting 🥰
I grew up playing Windwaker even tho I was born way after. I have almost every Zelda game now and played multiple. The music is so beautiful and the story and lore is so amazing. I'll never forget playing Windwaker with my dad and trying to finish the game.
This deserves a long-form video. Would wactch an hour video, like the one you did for Spider-man recently. Liked this one but I'd "love" the long form variant. /please
i am Braziliam, my english is not that good but i want to congratulate u for this amazing video, at the same time i was watching i was remebering of my first runs in each of these games good video :) keep with the good content
Great video, I love the Zelda franchise, I also need to play more of the game, one of my favorites are Ocarina of Time, I love the dungeons, the Story, the atmosphere, everything is so well done. But my favorite of all it's Breath of the Wild, that game for me is so fun to play, I love the mechanics and the quest in the world, amazing game. I think my problem with Zelda, it's that some of the games take to long to get to the fun part, like Twilight Princess for example, so some Zelda game can feel tiring, I think that's why I love BOTW and Ocarina, they are more straight for it, but still, every Zelda can have something to appreciate.
For someone so young you have done such a great, fair job on your reviews! I was born 1990 along came 1998 8 years old seeing my brother play Ocarina of time my tiny mind was spaced. Then in 2000 10 years old brother got and beat Majoras Mask. I revisited zelda on my own in 2002 12 years old ready to take on Ocarina of time that is my first love, then took on Majoras Mask as a cake walk. Got my first wii play gamecube version of windwaker then Twilight which I love dearly. Skip to 2024 I got 2 free wiis and a $20 Skyward sword game and am currently playing and am hooked. Ive recently bought and plan to play a 4 pack zelda game cube disc OOT, MM, Zelda 1, Zelda 2 that im going to play after skyward. I then proceeded to buy a $20 wii version of Windwaker and Twilight princess and still havent replayed them but planning on. And for the first time ever I will play BOTW and TOTK as I eagerly wait for the switch 2. Being 33 going onto 34 years this year I truly enjoyed this video and appreciate and love the zelda Community and am thrilled at how much since its grown especially since the internet started.
This is so similar to how I felt when I started on Zelda! I started on ocarina of time when it was already over 10 years old then I went back through and actually played older Zelda games (but I never finished Zelda 1 because it was too hard. Good job to you!!!). Even that to me felt like such a change haha. What is your accent!??!?!?
Top 3 1. A Link to the Past (My first Zelda) 2. Skyward Sword (Played the HD remake and enjoyed it even if it scared me in a few places) 3. Breath of the Wild (Got me through both a broken toe and the pandemic, all within a year)
The best way to play the Legend of Zelda is 1986 to 2017 or the last Legend of Zelda game released based on time of release. I never was a fan of the Nintendo version of the Zelda time line which supposedly took the story dragging back further and further to the past and with breaking down with adult link and child link time lines and some actual sequels and not prequels. I just find the story of the franchise confusing as a timeline, so I enjoy playing like chapters in a book from the first game to the recent games. It is one of the greatest RPG games in the history of gaming.
If the upcoming Nintendo direct shows a remake of either twilight princess or wind waker, I would be so happy, I never owned a Wii or GameCube so that would be a really good chance to play those games. But seriously, if it ends up true, I would talk about it nonstop 😭 all my money will be gone because I got excited about Zelda games
I think another honorable mention should've been A link to the past, it was the first time zelda was in the SNES and it's probably the best 2d zelda game ever
theese are definitly the top 5: 1: oot (Ocarina of time) 2:mm (Majoras mask) 3: botw (breath of the wild) 4 totk (Tears of the kingdom) (i mean its pretty tricky and rage inducing so i put it in 4th) 5 Twilight princess
I mean talk about contrasting opinions. I haven't been able to finish TotK because it just made me bored. The rehashing of BotW with no fixing of its bad systems nor finding a way to make exploring the same world interesting enough again and feel fresh, the worse story than even the previous game (you're not involved this time either but this time it doesn't have an excuse for it), a copout villain, boring and simple puzzle design, dungeons being just better only in aesthetics, the sky being mostly empty, the depths being emptier, a rewards system worse than the last game (which was already bad), still not being able to use weaponry because it just breaks which also leads to avoiding fights. Lots of issues, no soul. Beyond this just a lack of providing what made Zelda feel special in the first place. It might appeal to a new audience, as has been apparent as many seem to like this game. However I don't and that's just how I feel. Thanks for coming to my TED talk!
God damn our opinions are completely opposite 😂 but I respect yours and appreciate the time you spent to write this comment 🙌 definitely can see why people wouldn’t like this game :)
