Powerful tunes will last forever. Avalanches of energy and ideas how to stay ..away from mainstream society. I can t stop listening to it . I hope to see them live in London soon.
This song is pure quality just like the album. i think their album is one of the best ever, not just because of the songs, but ever song on the album is brill apart from one song in my view, and what albums these days are so strong.
Anyone listening to the words? Seeing the flashbacks of holidays and saturday nights? Both the song and the video are a masterpiece of British punk, getting out of your teenage years and refusing to join the ratrace of the modern way we live and work with no fun. Just think, you could be out right now partying in the sun doing crazy fun things and going to places you could not even imagine. This song inspires me to enjoy myself before your time is up and its back to work.
Boys you have taken it upon yourselves to be the voice of the generation, with your great lyrics about in inequalitys of society you are really doing the workers and young people as a whole proud. Truelly you are the voice of the people
Exactly mate and especially considering that they have only been together for two years when a lot of bands are together a lot longer and dont get anywhere, fairplay to em! Keep at it! Brilliant on Jo Whiley's live lounge this morning guys!!!
Okay, I'm 58 years old. Had my own power trio in the 1980's and early 1990s. We toured, recorded some great records and our music was inspired by the Jam, Who, Creation, Replacements, Mission of Burma, Sonic Youth and many more. That said, when I was like 45 or so, the first Enemy record appeared and I was and still am in awe of them. Their songs were ace, the lyrics were phucking great, and the sheer musical might of these three lads was peerless. I loved the Libertines and the Arctic Monkeys. Saw them as well in their prime in San Francisco 18 years ago... BUT I never got to see the Enemy. This song alone, elevates them into a class unto themselves. The video is fantastic as well but what still keeps me coming back is their pure phucking talent. All of these lads our exceptional musicians and that should mean a lot coming from me. No really, it should.
Met these before fame hit them at 2006 godiva fest. Amazing band, amazing live. Got the there signatures on a bit of paper in 06, and also on this single when they did signings at HMV coventry.
this is great. first band i've been excited about in some time. really anthemic and they've got balls too. makes me think of the undertones and the jam. get in!
glastonbury 2008 walking from the park to the dance village and captured a glace of these guys playing this evryone walking along singing awayowayo was ace love the song :)
Sad to hear that The Enemy are splitting. Been a fan for quite a few years but as long as Tom, Liam and Andy are happy, I can't really complain. But I can wish them all luck for the future (one of them is a father now as well, congrats to him xx) and I hope that they might get back together at some point. Love you all lots. Thank you The Enemy xxx
this song reminds me of Germany, back when i lived there, during fal time, harvest time, cold fall air hitting ur face as u ride ur bike, poeple playing soccer, farmers out on the fields, the big lantern festival......ugh...it takes me back to my childhood days =/ i miss it
Great drumming. I hope to be at the same level as these lads in about 5 years. Nice to see some local lads showing those southerners The View/Kooks how to make proper music.
I feel a fool, I met these guys, but I was pretty young and hadn't really listened to them so I didn't think anything of it. I was also super nervous xD But I got all their autographs! They're damn kool man, gotten a lot more famous since Radio One's big weekend!
