    Hello! Luxury is cute and all but, not in a truck! Some how going into the middle of nowhere where it is likely to be dirty, driving a vehicle that is luxurious inside seems counter- productive. As for as looks, the Silverado has continued to evolve its looks and truck innovations with what are really sufficient accessories for a truck, especially the interior. Luxury in My opinion is for cars and SUV's not trucks. Imagine the soft leather or the insides of your truck getting muddy or dirty from anything food, drink or whatever, how would you clean it? That is part of the reasoning for not putting cute materials in a truck. One of these days the Dodge or rather the RAM that still looks like a DODGE from back in the 1990's will change its looks.

    Great video man. I have been trying to decide between the 2. I love both looks but even as a mopar guy, I just think the chevy looks more aggressive especially with the gloss black front. Huge fan of gloss black. The ram has the matte and it just doesn't pop as much, although if I wanted I could make it gloss. The chevy also has me on the corner steps on the rear bumper. I think that is also very smart. From research it seems it comes standard with the 8" screen which I love. The ram has the small screen and you have to opt for a larger one. I guess thats why the price difference for both standard versions are different. I would get the chevy, but as stated in the video, the tipping point is just the interior. Plus at the end, you said for family and leisure the ram would be better and that's what I'm getting it for so thanks for the validation haha. Both beautiful trucks and great video 😎👍🏾..Also, what do you think about the V6 versions? 🤔 Video maybe?

    Their both great, i looked at a 6.2 tralboss and a rebel, the chevy was faster, but utility, ride, steering and interior was just a little bit better in the ram, plus the lease was over $100 cheaper a month even though it was $2000 more expensive. So if youre buying the chevy, leasing the ram

    6.2 is not a good engine, it needs premium fuel to work
    Hemi has the same power with regular fuel

    • @davidporter7051
      @davidporter7051 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hemi uses midgrade fuel so it's not regular. It's does not make the same power as the 6.2 it's off by nearly 30 horsepower and 50lbs of torque.
      Look at the 0-60 and quarter mile times between the 5.3 and the Hemi. They are nearly identical.
      To some it up you don't know what you posted.

      @lokkstarproductions6918 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think you’re the dumbest person online. The 6.2 is the most powerful naturally aspirated truck engine up to date. 14.00 flat 1/4 mile and making 420 hp.

  • @derek4780
    @derek4780 4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    In your opinion after driving both, if the Trail Boss has the 6.2 and the upgraded interior would the Rebel still win?

    • @MotorPressReviews
      @MotorPressReviews  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The engine was not at all the setback. That 5.3 was actually a very pleasant surprise. As we said in the review, the RAM has a more modern interior, which is the tipping point for the win. The two trucks are very closely matched, so if you prefer the Chevy, there is no reason to hold back. Thanks for watching!!!

    Same reason I went with Chevy over Dodge immediately hit me when you showed the Rebel dashboard entertainment center. Between that monstrosity and the Rebel badge being illuminated on the gauge screen and stitched into the seats, it was too gaudy and over the top. Drove the Rebel and liked it a lot but that interior stuff was a non starter. Bought a Trail Boss and am very happy with the performance and the simplicity of the cabin layout and interior. Am so against the nonsense excessive badging in trucks I took a heat gun and removed my Trail Boss emblem on the bed with a heat gun and plastisol'd my ZR1 badges black. My cousin has a Rebel and he's super happy so it's just preference in the end and they all cost a fortune unfortunately

  • @jasonschwanke916
    @jasonschwanke916 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Depends what you value most end of the day. Looks are subjective for sure, but I think 90% of truck owners would agree the Trial Boss looks better on the exterior, while the Ram is FAR superior on the interior. The Chevy's interior looks about 5 years outdated which for a brand new 60k truck is just not right lol add in the 5.7 over the 5.3 and I take the Rebel despite the Trail Boss looking a little meaner on the exterior. Rebel definitely needs a level kit as soon as you buy it though, that is a must, whereas the Trial Boss can do without since it has the 2" lift.

    • @jonchase7752
      @jonchase7752 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Personally the trail boss’ back end kill me, the boxy rear with nothing really standing out is not attractive, same with the rear of the cab. But the front end is soo good looking it balances

  • @josephmichael1405
    @josephmichael1405 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    But the Boss is much lighter than the Rebel. So the higher output is nullified.

  • @Adamgvc
    @Adamgvc 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    I am torn between the two. Honestly looking to buy soon. Truth, be told. They are NOT the same price. I find the Ram to be 3-5k US dollars more and that’s minus leather interior. Making this an even harder decision.

    The trail boss’s interior looks to 90’s and flat very out dated 👎🏼. The front face looks to square not very aerodynamic. The Ram beats it in the interior segment. I bought the 2020 Rebel, I was a ford fan, but the F150 FX4 just it’s want it used to be, when the FX4 first came out it was lifted had Rancho shocks. Now you can’t tell the difference between a non 4x4 and 2 wheel drive only if it has the FX4 or 4x4 decal. RAM all the way !!!!!

      Toofast For you really ? Ok probably the one I test as a different trailboss.... the center console was big but the rams was a lot bigger... the rear seat bottom space also was bigger on the ram and and the rAm has to boxes inside on each side to store things in them... probably is a bit longer but space wise ram has more compartments that’s what matters.. anyway I don’t like either truck
