Idk man i really love ark but 50$ for only the island? i get their reasonings for that price but with that you need to spend at least 2k on a pc just to run this game....
The pc part is true. The reason why i think is worth it, is cuz for few months you play the island, then a new map comes out. And a new map will come out all the way until late 2025. So thats pretty worth to pay 50 bucks but have something to play till late 2025
Admittingly despite WC pulling the plug on Ark SE and we were gutted (not singel player which is not the sane) Arks a great game I had to buy a ps5 just so i could get Ark ascended but what is annoying is people build huge bases and putting pillars everywhere this makes it hard to try and build I tried 3 different The island maps and got killed a the time because I couldn't place a bed
Its definitely not Ark 2. Ark 2 is still in development, and it wont be anything like the first Ark. It will have Souls like gameplay. This here i guess you can call a remaster, but it rather feels like an entire new game to me.
Ascended looks great, not enough to make you buy the game again thou, Skyrim reached the same results only whit player´s made mods... being a way older game.
It certainly feels larger if nothing else, but having just started a single player world today, at least some parts are larger. That one area, the south eastern islands are definetly bigger, and the gaps in the river channels connected to the oceans are wider than I remember. A raft is going to be a must have. Plus the forests are much denser than ASE. Footravel through them is going to feel way longer for sure but at least the creature pathfinding is competent for both better and worse.
so 45 bucks for the same game ive been playing for years but with better graphics that I can play for a year before ARK 2 comes out and this game dies. ill pass, not worth the 45 bucks for 12 months to just shelf it next holiday season with ark 2. if this came out a few years ago id probably get it, the graphics on ark survival evolved where gawd awful and players bases would load in 500 meters away before the trees / rocks did so u could literally see everyone's base no matter how well they "hid" it.
While i see your point, you have to undertand that ASE/ASA are not gonna be shelved, because Ark 2 will be a completely different type of game. It will be souls like, elden ring type of game. So fans of survival will always keep playing ASA. Did we start playing ark when far cry primal came out? No, cuz they are two very different games. Im just sad that people dont understand that Ark 2 will NOT be another survival game.
But their is not multiple worlds like Ark survival evolved so technically it is smaller. Unless it has scorched earth, extinction, and more. Also that means it also has less content and game mechanics. Due to the multiplicity of the original having different dlc. Seems like a reskin that wasn’t needed and hard to run on a pc less than $1000. What was the point? If people have to reduce graphics to play then is it still better graphics?
Well even in evolved at the beginning we didnt have all worlds. It took 5 years for all worlds to be released. On Ascended it will take roughly 1 year to release all of them. So its better.
Game is so unplayable. Day one epic graphics low lag all night Day 2 a lot of lag unplayable on epic had to go to low Day 3 game is not bootable and crashed every 1 min. Each days optimizations got worse

You know, like NOT make the most hated critter in the game, the most populous thing on the map.
@@sc0repio662 hHah true on both, even though not sure how easy it would be to do the head through walls thing

It's just SOOOOOO ARK
@@damiancatchingzs Oh & did ya know a Trike breathes through it's butt?
At least that's what it seems like with how much of them has to be above the water's surface or it drowns.
''Dinos are much more realistic'' U mean their AI right ? cause they changed nothing apart from that
Their AI, their models have more polygons, and textures are in 4k. Of course those stuff only load that way in highest resolution settings.
@@damiancatchingzs really ? doesnt look like that to me, they seem so ''cartoony'' and out of place
The ASA's Redwood forest looks more like a Borneo Rainforest, I preferred the ASE's Redwood forest
I don't think the dinosaurs look noticeably different. I hate the ridiculous fog (I turned it off). And I hate that I can't see the dinos underwater from over the water. And I hate that larkator doesn't work anymore. But I like the new dinos. I also have a 4080 super and my computer has to run fans hard for this. I hate that I like this game at all.
This comment makes the most sense honestly. I feel the same way.
Slow it down a little bit and I'm swearing I just watched a video narrated by Anton Chigurh! But overall a definite like to this video from me.
And i am here thinking that it wasnt fast enough 😂 im worried not to make it boring if im too slow
Idgi, the maps from original ark wont be updated with ark 2?
You do know that this is not ark 2 right?
@@damiancatchingzs I'm so confused 😅😂
The problem that the grass is bigger than the player is because the camera in the player's stomach doesn't disappear in the head

Manhunt or speedrun. Both haha

I don't care about the graphics, i care about the sounds. Ark used to give me such a headache, especially walking through a herd of giants.

@@damiancatchingzs ha yea, the editing and the language u used kept me interested. what was your old channel?
@@I998SubaruSTi22b i have like 13 of them xD only 2 semi successful 😂
Admittingly despite WC pulling the plug on Ark SE and we were gutted (not singel player which is not the sane) Arks a great game I had to buy a ps5 just so i could get Ark ascended but what is annoying is people build huge bases and putting pillars everywhere this makes it hard to try and build I tried 3 different The island maps and got killed a the time because I couldn't place a bed
Good luck finding those small tames now...
As a Raptor I want my meele damage to be increased as my pace is by the developers or we will go on strike
Can you do comparison of structures included green house please and hi new to channel
Thats a great idea. Will work on it.
is this a whole new game or is it just a massive mod?
Its a whole new game mate
Getting to the hiddeb lake after starting fresh on asa was an ordeal
yeah its soo much more difficult to get there
I love how players play the game for a long time, feel a sense of creative ownership 😂
I honestly prefer evolved, mostly.
Reason???
The ground is all the same color 👀
Nice!
Nice!
Can someone explain it to me? Is this new ark a type of ark 2 or an ark remaster?
Its definitely not Ark 2. Ark 2 is still in development, and it wont be anything like the first Ark. It will have Souls like gameplay. This here i guess you can call a remaster, but it rather feels like an entire new game to me.
@@damiancatchingzs ok thank you
My base building places are up high on a place you can't get to without climbing or flying. And none of these places are it.
Yeah i have few specific places i like too. Sorry that i didnt manage to cover every location in this video.
@@damiancatchingzs Covering every location worth building in one video would have been impossible.
Ark is full of exploits remove the trees the rocks the water and your PC will run fine, and you can see other players Ez use INI Ez Kill in PvP
Didnt know that 😂 thanks for the tip
Ascended more smooth ... more beutiful
Smooth? If you have good PC yes. Beautiful absolutely, every frame is like a movie.
if only i had a nasa pc
:(
Ascended looks great, not enough to make you buy the game again thou, Skyrim reached the same results only whit player´s made mods... being a way older game.
On the thumbnail I actually think ASE is way better
are you sure about the map being larger? haven't bought the game yet but all i can find online is people saying the map is 1:1 in size
ASA is so much better, but the wait period for the maps is a pain.
and yet ase came out 8 years ago, that time has passed and now it will die out! long live asa and the maps will be here in NO TIME.
spawning was more simpler in Evolved. i’m
no liking Ascended as much
Not a fan of how many little rocks and stones there are on the beaches lol
Yeah there are quite a lot
as it is in reality
Map is 4 times larger???????
Cant wait to play this game on the lowest settings to have it somewhat playable without buying a 3k pc
2k pc over here xD running like butter
@@damiancatchingzsfr Bro? Can I ask what grafics card you’re using and what settings? :D
Why did they not just make Ark SA Ark 2?
so 45 bucks for the same game ive been playing for years but with better graphics that I can play for a year before ARK 2 comes out and this game dies. ill pass, not worth the 45 bucks for 12 months to just shelf it next holiday season with ark 2. if this came out a few years ago id probably get it, the graphics on ark survival evolved where gawd awful and players bases would load in 500 meters away before the trees / rocks did so u could literally see everyone's base no matter how well they "hid" it.
The Island blows, wanna see already Ragnarok and Valguero
And i wanna see Fjordur. Cant wait!
@@damiancatchingzs I didnt like Fjordur, that map feels rushed and illogic. It has some cool structures and thats it
Game is so unplayable.
Day one epic graphics low lag all night
Day 2 a lot of lag unplayable on epic had to go to low
Day 3 game is not bootable and crashed every 1 min.
Each days optimizations got worse
Yeah i couldnt launch it as well today.
@@damiancatchingzswell that’s good to know.
Is this just a pay for reskin of the same game?
It depends. There are many changes. When you play it feels like a completely different game. But it depends on how you feel about it.
I could see why someone would see it as a reskin, but i only see it as a new game bc im desperate for ark content lmao
looks the same, just brighter
Agree to disagree
I personally think ark 1 looked + played better, I like the green theme compare to yellowish
It is hard for me to adjust to the yellow theme as well. The green theme just feels like home.
Wait is the map really bigger now?
Yeah. You can even tell from most of those side by side comparison views. But that Makes it more realistic.
Is it the same game?
Yes but actually no 🤣
