What type of alcohol do you use ? Can you use acetone to wipe the uncured epoxy of the reel seat parts?

Yes, acetone is the best solvent for uncured epoxy.

No need to spine, you won’t notice any difference in the performance of the rod.

Be careful when sanding a carbon rod because the carbon dust is very dangerous to your lungs.
