**Religion/Cultural history; Tell me one of the Oldest Hindu temple you know in South India. Technically you can't find a Hindu temple which is older than 2,000 years. I know now there many so called oldest temples older than 2,000 years, and you know they are not Hindu temples they are some Jain or Budhist temples. Even though Hinduism is older than Budhism and Jainism, Budhism and Jainism came first to South India when Hinduism not even touched here. We used to have Kula devathalu. Like Pothuraju, Nookalamma, Ankamma, Akkamma, Bavapuri, Persapen, Nuthala Devi. Even Thirupathi 's Venkateswara Swamy is not Vishnu Avatar, Venkateswara Swamy is not even mentioned in any of the older Hindu Scriptures, later a myth was created to unify Venkateswara Swamy with Vishnu. But in those Dasha Avataras there is no venkateshwara swamy. Even Gautham Budha is termed as Vishnu Avatara, but budhists don't agree 1% to it. They are true philosophically budhism is different.
And genetically/phenotypically(traits) also Dravidians are different from North Indians. The cranial features and extremities are so different. If you bring Northern and South Indian together, we can differentiate them at single glance. We can differentiate fairer South Indian with fairer North Indian. Temperature effect pigmentation to a little extent, Rajasthan is hotter than South India but they are not darker because of Genetics.
