I got one about a week ago, and so far I love it! It has worked flawlessly for the 6 or so jobs I have used it on. I have had no issues with leakage, and I love the multiple ways it can be disassembled for cleaning purposes. I also love the freedom of not having to be connected to a power outlet.
Most people who purchase this will already own several Ryobi tools and have several batts. They make 2ah, 4ah, 6ah, 9ah, and 12ah batts. The 4ah and 6ah are the most bang for the buck and more commonly on sale or bundles. I also recommend avoiding the knock-off brands, they will be 40% cheaper but they lie about the specs and are 40% weaker.
Will do! A few people have commented on this video that have these and said they haven’t had any leaks… one person also commented and said they did. So it doesn’t sound like it’s every unit, but it can be an issue
Do you recall how much battery charge was left when you did that seat. Hoping you could possibly clean at least the two front seats with one battery based on the level of stains that was on the seat you cleaned.
Every time I watch new products I somehow want to buy it just because. I think for the stain the steam spot cleaner would have been a nice test but I understand it’s just the Ryobi for today.
Because the suction thru the motor has to remain liquid free. It needs several inches of air space to prevent ingesting water as turbulent air rushes thru the container. If you need more liquid capacity then consider the Ryobi 1gal, 3gal, 6gal, and 10gal wet vacs. With those alternatives you won't get a liquid delivery system and would have to have a bottle of water to manually dump water on your cleaning area, or a spray bottle.
@@hgodtxthat makes sense. Thanks for the explanation. Just for the price range I feel you're not getting a lot of money for it other than it being cordless. I have the 3 gallon dry wet vac version but it's hard to find a generic water extractor tool for it to fit. No oem ones also.
@@superduperboyx Interesting. I'm leaning toward getting the 3gal vac. Is the flared tool it comes with not good for extraction? Also I thought it came with an adapter for different sized tools!?!
@@hgodtx you're referring to the cordless 3gal one that's like a box shaped right? It comes with 2 attachments, the crevice and the wide flared one. I feel the flared tool is just OK, it doesn't have a good suction on the surface bc of the little cut out openings but it's decent. An actual accessory water extractor you can press down hard onto the surface for better suction and actually see the dirty liquids go in. I bought a generic water extractor off Amazon and it was too big so I just taped it together. Worked fine.
There's is a FOAM wall cleaner from ZIP and you can remove the stain with less water and less man power...sprayed let set for few seconds and scrub it and vaccum and that's it
Maybe I missed it but what chemical were you spraying on the spot? Was it the oxy or something else? I just ordered the 3 step bottles from P&S heard it’s good.
Great vid! I am in the process of buying the stuff to do some detailing to my car... It is the Wolf Gray color from Kia, so im gonna give it a nice wash, and was thinking to clay it, but what clay should I use so i dont have to polish afterwards and just go directly into ceramic protection after the clay? Or maybe you wouldnt recommend not polishing after clay?
Yea ryobi actually reached out told me there was an issue with early models but that has been fixed!! They actually sent me a new unit and it works perfect
@@imjoshv can you please recommend me a good one? Is this particular carpet extractor good? I also wanted to clean the carpet in my house small areas,of course
They addressed the making issue with this one so the fact that this is battery powered is really awesome! I have a new video coming soon on a super budget friendly dedicated steamer too. So I’d probably go with this and that steamer
Too many bot scams in your video comment section. Anyways, that product you have is defective. And to everyone, i would recommend watching the Ryobi Channel video on their products it shows the proper step by step guide to clean stains correctly
Yea should be no problem with Home Depot! I’ve heard from people commenting that they have them and it’s not leaking so I’ll probably swap it for another unit
You can always just get multiple batteries and/or larger batteries. They sell a 12 aH battery which would run this thing for 45 minutes. I can't imagine needing more than that.

I have used mine several times now and it has performed great! No leaks and extracts very well! Thanks for the review!

Happy this video was recommended to me. My wife bought me this and I like it alot, doesn't leak but im happy to see a pro use it. Just subbed !
Keep up the great content. My 3 years running detail business has grown from some of your experiences!
That’s awesome thanks so much
@@imjoshv a big thank you! AZ loves San Diego and JoshV lol
Josh….good review as always. LOL….at 11:43 you biting your tongue from what was forming in your head was too hilarious!
Haha thanks
Those tanks look identical to the ones on my mini Hoover unit! I love these litte guys. Thanks for the review. Now on my Cristmas list!
👍👍👍
This looks very similar to the Hoover Clean Slate. It doesn't surprise me considering that Hoover and Ryobi are owned by Techtonic Industries.
@@chengliu872it was learning this, that made me try ryobi vacuums, and they’re much better than I anticipated
Thank you so much for this review! I love your channel and learn so much!
Thanks I appreciate that!
haven’t watched ads still playing but already wanna ordered it
Haha it’s super useful but mine did have one issue
Good thing with Ryobi and Home Depot: you have zero hassle returns. Occasionally you do get a lemon…swap it out and it should be fine.
Anything cordless I’m in. That’s one less hassle when I’m out there detailing alone

How is the suction because not a lot of liquid was collected in container
Just got into the Ryobi One plus the unit looks interesting if by chance you return it would you please do a update in another video thanks Josh

Read the manual people, the leaking is mentioned in the included pamphlet/guide. It's apparently known and expected with the design of this tool.
I didn’t see anything about that in my manual. And why would any leakage be acceptable in the design?
It should not be acceptable. Can't have that amount of leakage on a carpet or worse, on the bed as you're cleaning the mess left behind by the kids.
I want this machine but it has a small water container. great review. definitely portable. Your opinion means a lot because of your expertise
Thanks! Yes the capacity is the bummer but the cord free makes up for it!
DTLR DEALS! 🏆
👍👍👍
MANY THASK FOR THIS VIDEOOOO BROOO

Well to be good for shampooing seats

Decided to pull the trigger on this and mine did not have the leakage issue. May be a case by case basis?
Really considering this already have a couple Ryobi products so you could say im partial but need something for the tsn in my jeep
I’d love an update on your leak issue, was it resolved as a one off or is it something that maybe a bigger machine design issue
Have you still been using it since this review? Any updates on the leak? Thinking about getting this but I'm not liking that leakage. Great video
Whys the max like so low?!? It has so much more room

Was leakage the clean water or bad water?

Can you get with the company & see if they can address the leak?
Do we know has Ryobi doned anything about that leakage?
