    Dr Yo- today i feel exactly what you said, i feel like I am different than others and its not a neuro circuit dizziness and the MRI must have missed something. I don’t feel stressed and feel overall calm most of the time even with dizziness and tinnitus and head pressure. I wasnt always like this i worked hard with CBT to accept and reduce my anxiety and fear and thought my symptoms were going away until the last weeks when my symptoms keep changing and going away then coming back. Pressure in tje forehead and and ear and feeling like my head is too heavy when standing up. I feel like all the progress i made and all the efforts i made were pointless:(

      Hi Sam, this is a normal part of recovery and your efforts were not pointless. Ups and downs, and extinction bursts, are 100% normal and what you're looking for is a trajectory- over months, the improvement is there.

Desde el primer momento que la descubrí, comencé a hacer el curso y mi vida cambio mucho. Estoy en proceso aún, pero tengo una gran esperanza dado que observo los cambios, que suceden tal cual UD los describe. I am trying so hard with your free course and workbook and saw a little improvement, but today I had intense dizziness which led to a bad panic attack and now I am lying awake on this endless night. I am so scared of my symptoms that i shake and I cant eat or sleep. Can someone as anxious as me get better? Have you worked with people as scared as I am? • @TheSteadyCoach
      @TheSteadyCoach  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Craniocervical instability and dysautonomia are both descriptions of symptoms, not root causes (IMO). Often things are blamed on craniocervical instability when that is just a finding, not a cause, and the whole thing with all the symptoms is really a neural circuit problem.

    • @TheSteadyCoach
      @TheSteadyCoach  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I think grief is part of the process of letting go of who we used to be before the sensations, and the lost time. But grief happens to help the brain move through that loss and grow.

    Dr. Yo,
    Any advice on dealing with symptoms on days barometric changes are significant? After PPPD I’m so sensitive to fluctuations and most days can be pretty symptom free now, but any time the pressure drops (happens a lot here in CA in the summer) I’m basically down for the count. How can I get my body to stop overreacting to this normal process? Will that part ever go away?

    • @TheSteadyCoach
      @TheSteadyCoach  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yes you will! Your brain is simply responding to barometric changes as a source of danger. I've seen others with the same exact situation. My suggestion: on those days when the barometric changes would normally slow you down, deliberately challenge yourself, prove to your brain that it is safe.

    • @lindab5789
      @lindab5789 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I experienced the same thing during my recovery and it was so frustrating. I live in the mountains of NC and there are a lot of pressure changes associated with weather systems moving through. The effect of pressure changes was pretty much the last of my symptoms to leave, and although it took about 6 months, it did eventually stop. Good luck with the rest of your recovery. It will happen!!!

      @@cuitegoods7773 The worst of my vertigo was already greatly diminished by the time I was left with only the barometric pressure issue. While I did experience mild vertigo, my main problems were more foggy brain and a general feeling of being unwell. I found on those days, spending 60 minutes walking on my treadmill helped to somewhat alleviate the worst symptoms. Once the pressure returned to normal levels, so did I.

    I really don't know how to deal with this anymore. I've had 15 years of chronic oppressed emotional stress and trauma and the last 3 years I got all kinds of physicial stress symptons: 24/7 sight dizziness and body off balance, seeing double and everything moving weird, can't walk straight, falling both sides, muscle weakness, migraines that make me feel my brain cells are dying off, extreme dizziness attacks that come out of nowhere eveyday, ringing ears, muscle twitches, i cant sleep because of stress and if i sleep i wake up because of the high cortisol. The stress literally attacks everything in my body. I also have anxiety disorders next to all this so it keeps the symptoms going on. Im scared and suicidal i cant live like this anymore. What do i do and do i ever heal from this i cant take it anymore. My symptons are so so so extreme and i got all kinds of tests done but they cant find anything. i can't do anything im tied to the bed. How do i get through this

      I am so sorry you're in this position right now. You're in the worst of it and it will get better from here. SMALL STEPS, even just a little movement, or a little breathing, maybe watching success stories from bed. This is also where medication CAN be very helpful and important- it can help break the loop so you can do the emotional work that needs to be done.

    Hi can you help me I have been diagnosed with Meniere's disease, proven hearing loss and hydrops of the endolymphatic sac in the right ear. I have only had 9 attacks in my life (27 years old), but the last vertigo attack I had after eight years of rest (no attack) and I had it in December 2023. But everything is different, always dizziness (dizziness after an attack) disappeared by the second day , now I have such dizziness after a vertigo attack for 7 months constantly 24/7. all the VEMP tests are fine without any problems, but the attack still doesn't seem to go away, I have been left with imbalance for 7 months. could it be PPPD? I have anxiety and depression from my condition, if I drive the car all the symptoms are gone. Ty so much for your advise and answer

      This video addresses your questions, but generally when people have constant symptoms between attacks, it's often a neural circuit issue! th-cam.com/video/20eS_sXTXBA/w-d-xo.html

      @@TheSteadyCoach @TheSteadyCoach Ty 😊so the solution could be to solve the chronic dizziness, or neural circuit dizziness, which is probably now after the meniera subsides, and the solution is to work on it, according to your course, am I right? especially not paying attention to symptoms, not avoiding triggers and trying to do normal things like before this state of chronic dizziness?

      You are not alone. It's the same kind of nervous system hypersensitivity that leads to it. Don't lose hope. Try to expose yourself to sound.

      Hi, I used to have hyperacusis (I also have pppd). I recovered from the hyperacusis by not analyzing it or giving it anymore of my attention. Yes, it was uncomfortable. But I developed the “I don’t care, either way” “bring it on” “who cares” and then went on to other things. You have to really mean it inside. I lost interest in trying to change it or fix it, so my brain eventually decided it was not important and it went away. I hope this helps.

      I know you’re so tired, Hina. I just want you to know that these ups and downs happen every time and it does NOT MEAN they are forever. The brain is plastic from the day we are born until the day we die. You are not condemned to this forever. Allow yourself to grieve and then use your tools. You can do this.

    Would like to believe this but the migraines are real and cause the dizziness/off balance. So no matter how much I want to believe this I think this is only one piece of the puzzle and vestibular triggers causing the inflammation need to be addressed (food, etc.)

    • @TheSteadyCoach
      @TheSteadyCoach  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +5

      Hi there, migraines are real, but taking a neural circuit approach can also resolve and greatly lessen those attacks. There's good evidence from the chronic pain literature that these techniques help with migraines. I think a purely biomedical approach with just meds/elimination diets misses a part of the equation and leads to poorer outcomes. th-cam.com/video/CPE6rcDZQ0k/w-d-xo.html
