While reading the books, it was my first time EVER crying or showing such a powerful emotion for a character that doesn’t even exist, a character I will never know, and yet I burst into tears when he died. He loved Harry like a son, Harry had the potential chance of having a loving parent, but it was all lost and crumbled
Gotta love how much he clearly cared for Harry and his parents, dude escapes after 12 years and goes near Harry knowing that is the very place people will look for him. Proceeds to find out that someone who caused Harry's parents death is still alive, risks pretty much everything just to get them, he knew getting caught would be death sentence in the minimum and still went for it. Sirius shouldnt have died, also comedy gold and amazing acting by Gary Oldman

Not much of a potterhead but so far Sirius black is the best character (and my favorite character) in Harry Potter universe. He’s a role model and a sincere person.

One of my favorite moments from the books is when Harry realises in DH, that he would be the same “reckless” godfather for Ted as Sirius was for him. Precious.
Well, he spent 12 years in the prison of Azkaban for the murders that he did not commit, knowing that the person who actually did it and is responsible for their friends' terrible faith is still free. All this and the torture by dementours while being in prison would be more than enough to make someone unstable. Also, he was forced to run and basically disappear, since the guilty is never prisoned. In the end, he was forced to take care of the house where his (not so good) parents lived and basically live through his painful memories all over again, while he would've wanted to do more and help people that he loved.
