I first heard this story on the radio about 20 years ago. The station stopped playing Paul Harvey and I thought I would never be able to share it with my other royal lovers.
Not only that, but I so appreciate you showing the actual houses where it happened...
    and the "after story"!
    👏👏👏👏👏👏

Age is relative. I like to think that we get better with age like fine wine. :)

Queen Elizabeth owned station wagons because of her dog breeding hobby. Her 2005 Jaguar X-type Estate wagon recently went up for auction, and there are photos of her driving it.

She was woundful with vehicles and left a nice collection behind. She also loved animals including Horses Homing pigeons Dogs and others.

Although I was never in the same room or even in close proximity to the Queen, I always felt a closeness when I saw her on tv, read about her, etc. I don't know if that makes sense. :)

Thank you for keeping this story for us to know. What a hoot that their grandson & son, William & family, would one day live in the very house that gave them shelter! 😅 And on we go! 😊

So you're sitting on the side of the highway in your police car catching speeders. A car whips past to doing 50 khm over the limit. You turn on your lights and go after the speeder. Few miles down they road they pull over, you walk up and without looking at the driver, ask for drivers license, insurance and registration. Only to hear "I don't have a drivers license officer."
When you do look at the driver, there sits the Queen of England. What do you do?

That's a fun scenario. I guess you apologize, bow or curtsy. I she would've been surrounded by escort vehicles. :)

She gave us all lessons on how to live. Thank God for her precious life and teaching her children the way to succeed in the most positive way. God Bless what someone else did for them and their country when they followed Jesus' teaching of treating others the way they themselves would like to be treated.

King George vists princess Elizabeth at the motor pool where she repaired vehicles. Well princess Elizabeth was showing her skills to her father, king George when the vehicle would not start. Elizabeth did her best to find the problem to no avail. Then king George handed her the rotor which he removed when she wasn't looking answering questions.

❤❤❤ I really enjoyed this story. I used to enjoy spending time with my family but after having two near-death experiences, I now understand the importance of having family and friends around even more than I used to. This story brought a lump to my throat. Thanks for sharing. ❤❤❤
