Lol “air in the voice is bad/dangerous,” unfortunately some of us are too shy at first to let out full voice out. Or we don’t even know how to make our voice do that/can’t do it yet. I only recently discovered my chest voice, it was like waking up with a new limb and learning to use it.
I’m trying to learn how to do that now with my voice
To me I have the opposite problem. I have more difficulty using my head voice than my chest voice.

True, but at the same time she was born with the talent to sing. Not all people can do what she does, even with practice. But yeah she obviously didn’t just know how to sing that good immediately
She had parents that could afford voice trainers, drive her to lessons and concerts, and help her apply for gigs.

Like the comment after mine said, not all people can do what she does or at least not so easily even with practice. If she could sound that good at 8 already, clearly means she didn't even need that much training.

My choir teacher taught me to sing the “ i“ sound when the “ee” sound comes up … and in this instance at the end of free you ad a quick “y” sound so it sounds like “friiiiiiy” .. it’s easier to sing “ i “ then “ee” and it doesn’t sound as forced .. it kids of rounds out the sound and somehow ends up sounding like you’re singing the “ee” sound

The [i] (ee) vowel is a bit tricky, but it can be projected! Push the tip of your tongue right behind your bottom teeth, letting the back of your tongue curve upward, and sing into your hard palate while engaging your soft palate. This is a great vowel for tenors and sopranos because it’s very bright and you can put quite a bit of force behind it. Hope this helps!

At 8 years old I had uncontrollable vibrato when singing and it would get worse when I was nervous. My mom would always tell me to shut up b/c it was annoying. 😂
Thankfully I grew out of that phase and have developed more control and have become a much better operatic singer over time. (Coloratura Mezzo Soprano)

i just got out of school it was my first day and i get to come back home to this c:
My personal opinion: When you hear the 8-year-old Ariana, you can tell that she knows what to do. She has already reached the level of maturity in music to understand what to do. When I was of that age, the only thing I could understand was how to sing in the right pitch. But the way Ariana is singing, you can tell that she is trying to maintain more than just the right tune. She is already singing in the correct tune, but she is also trying to induce emotions, style and various techniques. When I was of that age, I did not even know these were needed in singing. I began to understand what these terms meant and how they were necessary when I was 11. Although not successful, Ariana was already trying to sing with emotions and style by the age of 8. I won't expect an 8-year-old to do those perfectly anyways, even though I have heard and seen a few do that. After knowing these exist, it took me around 4 years to completely apply those factors to my voice. The fact that Ari was already trying to apply them when she was 8, implies that she probably learnt how to apply them successfully by the age of 12. When I was 8, I sounded very plain because I just didn't know what to do other than sing in the right tune and pitch. I'm not sure if I'm explaining it right, but I hope you understand what I'm trying to say!

@@LavenderrLatte also one more point, even when im able to apply all that, its still not fully fine and defined. like i would sing with everything needed in the first stanza and lose it by the second. having everything constantly is a skill that acquires a lot of practice. we can see that ariana learnt how to do those perfectly at a young age
