The common Myna or Indian Myna sometimes spelled as Myna is a bird from the Starling family and native to Asia. Many asian species, particularly the larger ones are called Mynas.
Mynas are omnivorous open woodland birds with a strong territorial instinct, the common Myna has adapted extremely well to urban environments. Indian Mynas are a threat to wildlife as they are aggressive and completely exclude the other birds from the area.
