ROCKET 1985 Otis Series 1 Elevonic 401 Traction Express Elevators at Columbia Center, Seattle, WA

We all know and love these elevators!!!! This is my 2nd time coming to this AMAZING Skyscraper, this is a retake for me, and these are just as FAST and as THRILLING as ever!!!! Still featuring the Older Custom Otis Series 1 fixtures and the Grandma voice!!!! These elevators are super FAST and are in pretty good shape, but are showing some signs of age since my last visit as the Grandma voices sound foggy and like they are dying on some of the cars, the floor passing chimes are faded and these elevators are much LOUDER than I remember them ever being! Still, they are still in pretty good shape and are definitely ROCKETS! These go around 1400-1600 FPM. The future of these is uncertain however as one set of parking elevators was modded by Otis with Series M2, and Otis is installing a new Express elevatir that will directly travel to the 73rd floor observatory, so I fear these could be modernized or turnstiled...I just hope neither happens!!! At least all of the banks including these were original and all appeared to be working according to the lobby annunciator except the modded South Parking elevators, so let's hope these aren't modded, and let's hope they don't turnstile these either!!!! BC'sVators Yes, me too!!! They are worth visiting! I just fear they could get modded or turnstiled off, hopefully that won't happen. These are loads of fun!

The elevators at this office tower make a lot of shaft wind noise because they go probably thousands of feet per minute, and also One Penn Plaza, 191 Peachtree Street, and Sheraton Times Square Hotel
