Can you just imagine how grateful this sweet little baby feels about her new life. She was on the verge of death because of selfish humans and to have the purest humans rescue her must have given her hope. She now has several mommies, aunties, siblings, and cousins all loving ❤️ on her. She has protection and love, plus she's able to just enjoy being a baby Elle!!!!!! What a amazing place, amazing caretakers and amazing Elles!!!! 👏
I was just sitting watching all the Herd coming out of the muddy wallow ,I had this thought about Khanyisa how she was caught in a snare and how Terribly sad it must of been for her Mum to have to leave her behind I thought I wonder if her Mum ever gave Birth again to a another Baby Khanyisa and that how wonderful it would be if there was a Wild Baby Khanyisa Her wild Sister . This is a great video! A real family affair. Seeing Khanyisa splashing around like that with Timisa just warms my heart. They're like any other kids who love to swim and have fun together. Seeing Meisiekind so happy and contented with the HERD speaks volumes to the love and care she has received from Adine and all the Carers since the very beginning. It was beauty therapy today at the Dam and there are two little Tuskers who have not shunned their pleasure The weather looked beautiful and our gentle giants had a teasing spirit today and a lot of fun enjoying a dip in the muddy Spa Pisa and Mambo taking this opportunity to spar one more time under the watchful eyes of gentleman Fishan, Bubi and Limpopo Very entertaining video Tigere thank you for sharing
Definitely some great acrobatics going on there! Always enjoy watching the Herd enjoy their time in the water. And the way tiny Timisa and little Miss Pinky splash about with such abandon is so much fun to watch. I don't know why but watching Jabulani enjoy his scratch made me think of 'The Bare Necessities' song from 'Jungle Book' 😂❤🐘❤
One of the most unexpected things I've learnt watching HERD videos, is how the babies are everybody's babies, and the allomothering culture. Baby elephants stick so close to their moms, I didn't expect them to be looked after andf spending time with practically all the herd.

It's relaxing to watch them splash around even if it's for a short time. We all need that little escape from our busy lives and I can't think of a better way to de-stress than watching the elephants splash around in the water. Thank you for sharing them with the world. 🙂❤️🐘
Fish is looking good and his leg will be feeling not so sore. As we start the autumn my leg has started niggling. I wish the airfares were not so high otherwise we would be back to bathe in the warmth but I remember every day waiting for the rains to come. Shame guys there's so much water in Nigeria now. I hope it comes soon. 🙏🏼

They are so good and loving to her---it just makes my heart feel overwhelmed with how much they care about her and each other. Elephants can teach humans a lot about interacting positively with each other and making sure everyone is protected and loved

That was so good to see, the mud bath is good spf for the elephants skin and for khanyisa, I was thinking for these past two days , what will happen to khanyisa in the hot sun when she's in the homestead and out for a long time. The mud is natural sun protection for all.

Khanyisa is still small enough that flopping down on her side is easy to get up from 🤣🤣❤️❤️ And magnificent and noble Fishan. I will forever be so moved that you all helped him recover from what could have totally killed him in the wild. And the carers reading to him that first night (❤️❤️❤️)

Is Fhisan's leg okay? He walks like me this morning it hurts. His cyst is close and bumpy, does he suffer? He needs a foot massage, clay mud should help.
Yes it is💓 It is a pressure point from when he could only lie down on one side when his leg was broken. We do not believe he is in any pain as he is always swimming and active. In winter when his leg does get a little stiff, we do give him inflammatory medication.
I have always wanted to ask Adine and care givers this? What will you do if a lion or a rhino approaches you when you are walking the elephants? Are there no snakes in the bushes?
We do tend to manage with the water as there is a river close by (even with the water shortage). Water trucks are always a possibility though if we ever get desperate. Luckily our rainy season is coming soon! 🌦

Our elephants are very protective and treat us as part of the herd. They will defend the caretakers 💖
